Hong Kong Gold Coast Hotel

Very clean hotel, friendly and helpful staff. Very easy check in and check out. Location is good for the Piazza that is right around the corner. Beautiful views from the rooms I have stayed in.

The only issue I would say is the distance to a lot of the districts, however for the quiet and upscale experience the hotel is very worth it, as well there are a lot of extras the hotel provides for things to do.

Hotel looks so good and location of the hotel on the beach. But it's too far from Kowloon and monkik , overall it's good

The staff of the hotel were courteous and professional. The staff called me by name. The staff were very helpful in fulfilling any request. Close to bus line and taxis are always available.

If you book a trip to New York to experience Manhattan, you would not stay on Long Island. This is a similar situation. Morning breakfast buffet was quite pricey.

A bit far from the airport.

Rooms are big and spacious. Swimming pool is great - kids spent the entire stay in there. Staff were excellent and went out of their way to make sure we had a great stay. This is a perfect staycation for anyone living in HK. We definitely felt like we were on a holiday away from home!

Beds and pillows were a bit uncomfortable.

The location is the main reason I chose this hotel, just for a one-night stay, price is decent, view is very good.

Room and facility is not that clean - dirty spots on the carpet.

The room with the balcony is great. We've been to this hotel many times as it's my son's favorite. The pool area is nice.

We've stayed here at least once a year for the past 10+ years as we've always loved the hotel and the location. However, the quality and cleanliness has gone downhill. Here are some specific examples:1. The hallway on our floor on smelled very strongly of smoke even though we were on a non-smoking floor2. The playroom needs to be updated and cleaned better. A cockroach ran over my friend's foot while in there.3. The pool is great however there are no umbrellas and it's quite sunny. Some of the chairs/couches around the pool are broken and dirty.4. The buffet breakfast was not the same as the past. There was very little variety in food items and it was not worth the cost at all.5. Most of the facilities have not been maintained. The zipline area's grass needed cutting, the children's book area was filled with old and falling apart books, the garden on the 5th floor needed tending.

Great place! Lots of local things to do golden beach, piazza etc…. It’s 30-40 mins to Mong kok and Shenzhen. The concierge helped me fix my Alipay app and gave me amazing directions in English and mandarin to and from Costco in shenzhen. It was seamless and a wonderful experience.

The property was great!

It was very neat and clean! Great restaurant and amenities, short walk from the piazza!

I don’t have anything I disliked about the property

The green surroundings, the birds, proximity of a lovely beach, nice pool and water playground area, good buffet, pleasant playground and waterfront/garden walking paths, nice outdoor seating meal areas, comfortable beds, staff was busy but did their best. I also loved having the gold coast plaza nearby with a supermarket and different dining options.

No beer in room service. The minigolf and bowling were disappointing, they are on a corner in a cemented floor, they should be moved to a proper area in the lawn. They shouldn't charge for using the indoor playground. The elevator and access to the LG area is a bit narrow and confusing. Coffee pop up bar was closed, as were other restaurants and facilities. Room bathroom has a bit of mold in the marble walls.

The staff is friendly and helpful. The room is spacious, and the view of our balcony is very nice. I also like the individual air conditioning system in our room, which is not available in many hotels. The breakfast is also surprisingly good given the price.

You could feel the whole vibe of "budget cut" in this hotel. I support the idea of water dispensing machines, but there could be more given each floor is so big. The room was kinda simple and too basic for a 5-star hotel. Bath robes would only be provided on demand, and just only one box of tissue to be shared in a room.

Whoever answers the phone in housekeeping is EXTREMELY RUDE. Rooms were not up to par with the price, a lot of hair on the bathtub and bathroom floors were sticky. Room aircon will NOT get cold whatever we do and the TV didn't even had channels. Only option was to cast from your personal phone. For a 4 or 5 star hotel you'd generally expect more hospitality and amenities in the room. Location was quite far from the city about 1hr+ bus ride. Breakfast was an additional $231HKD for 2, everything was bland... that's why we only did one bfast and ate out the rest of our stay.
