Customer Service - Hotel employees at the reception were particularly friendly, polite and helpful.

Building, reception area, breakfast place, corridors, carpets, rooms etc look tired, worn out and old - time to refurbish. Facilities, in particular the gym, are really a joke - the gym is outside, NOT in an enclosed area, ill-equipped.

The people that serve breakfast were nice. The breakfast was average. The housekeeper was nice. However, it seems that she needed help.

The room smelled like old. The carpet in the whole way not clean. I found hair on my bathroom. The people from the front desk needs to be ore friendly. I did no like the location. I would not come back.

The 3rd bed was a cot bed.. no drinking water.. breakfast is very limited. No microwave.

The room was clean and had the necessary amenities for the stay. There was an electric water kettle for boiling water for coffee, tea, or instant ramen. Our floor had a drinkable filtered water dispenser, so it was pretty convenient. I booked the room with a breakfast option. There were a few breakfast combo options available to order, included in the price. The servers brought it for us. The staff were very nice and helpful during our stay, guiding us to the ladies' market and places to eat.

The room had one double-size bed, which was small for three of us to stay. The staff brought us a rollaway bed so our daughter could sleep. The electric outlet was Hong Kong-specific. I tried to buy the adapter from a vending machine in the lobby, but it only took pay apps like Alipay, which I didn't have. I wish there were options to use the credit card to purchase.

BREAKFAST IS VERY BAD AS THERE IS NO CHOICE, ONLY SET MENU WHICH NOT SHOWS MANY OPTION FOR VEGETERIAN PEOPLE

Its location is perfect for our family. MTR station, night market, Nathan Road, sneaker street, alot of shopping mall are just about 10 minutes of walk. Beside that the staff of the hotel are really kind and nice to us.

No swimming pool and the gym is just a name.

Holiday Inn Hong Kong Mongkok offers a standard room experience that matches its value for the city. Things to note: the hotel doesn’t provide complimentary bottled water, the bathtub area can have a slight smell, and it’s about a 400‑meter walk to the nearest MTR station.

Breakfast

1 Queen room and 1 twins room were proposed by Holiday Inn , then reserved and confirmed by us through the email correspondence. The female staff from the front desk told my family members that only 2 Queen rooms available on their check-in. Then my wife insisted the arrangements as what proposed and confirmed. The front desk tried to stall her request by saying next day. At last the front desk organised 3 workers to come to split the Queen bed into 2 single beds under my wife's insistence. I wanted to point out how ridiculous the front desk was. In the beginning, the front desk said our request on the booking was not guaranteed ! The room arrangements were proposed by the Holiday Inn through email correspondence. Secondly, it was as simple as splitting the Queen bed, but the front desk could not be bothered to do it straight away. It turned out only a few minute job !

The staffs from the front desk to housekeeping and restaurant are welcoming and warm., especially Michael from the reception.

Breakfast was a bit repetitive, no fruit, cereal, milk ..., minor things would make it way better

Bathroom door use the same toilet door. Bathroom wall is clear block, so during using bathroom will be dazzling during sleeping time.

Clean, comfortable , hot breakfast.

Nothing was to my dislike. The property is located in a commercial area.

Avoid this terrible place

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Mongkok, Hong Kong, for 5 nights from September 25 to 30, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had.The room had a persistent unpleasant odor that couldn't be eliminated, regardless of whether I used the air conditioning or room fan. Even worse, the in-room safe was completely non-functional. No matter what buttons I pressed, it kept displaying an error message and would not open.I had to call room service twice, and each time it took about 20 minutes for someone to arrive—causing significant stress and almost making me miss my flight. When the service technician finally showed up, his attitude was rude and dismissive. Instead of assisting professionally, he began by saying, “You’re just sitting quietly,” which felt accusatory. When I asked what the issue was, he curtly replied, “Do you want to get your stuff? Let me work on it.” I told him I would be rating the hotel one star due to this experience, to which he arrogantly responded, “Go ahead.”If possible, I highly recommend avoiding this hotel. Poor service and unresolved maintenance issues can quickly ruin what should be a great trip to Hong Kong.

The staff was great. Special mention to both Henry (manager and the other), and Michael, they were really kind, helpful and good hosts. And location is really good is you decide to use the MTR that is really cool on Hong Kong

Breakfast was not good, always same menu for the principal and not good. And strict with offer only the same food every day. And the water from the filter of the floor tasted weird

Staff not very friendly. Except one on the first day of our checkin. The breakfast staff were challenging. Maybe the stuff you could have for breakfast was limited or the staff did understand us. Either way questionable experience.The cleaning lady from Nepal was excellent. Friendly n approachable to chat with. Did a good job of cleaning. The toilet seat was leaking from underneath every time we pressed the button. We had to wrap with towel so that the water did not reach our feet.

Room was big and spacious, ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️5 mins walk to the nearest metro station. staff were amazing. Only let down was the Breakfast, not a buffet. Excellent location, stones throw from Mongkok main shopping area and Nathan road! Loads of convenient shops nearby for any thing u need.
