Ovolo Canberra, a Wyndham Hotel

The restaurant that was available for me to wait in for check in where I could read and get work done.

The lighting was very ambient, which would be great for dinner, but midday while I was waiting for check in and trying to get some work done it was a little off-putting.

The architecture is cool, it's a little different than a usual hotel.

It needs some love, looks very tired compared to the last time I stayed there. We asked for 4 different wines and they were out of stock of all of them. At breakfast they also didn't have everything available. I felt sorry for the staff. The room was so noisy! Don't book a room on the freeway side. I slept with the pillow on my head.

Beautifully designed rooms, although small - very well laid out and appointed. Great use of recycled materials and great lighting

Interior is amazing, location great, air conditioning excellent, staff fantastic.

Saturday night bar area and restaurant closes 9:30pm. I arrived at 9pm checked in and missed out . Very poor considering the price and expectations for a hotel

Food was good, location for our needs were great

I thought the directions for parking were confusing & the lighting in hallway was dark

Very quirky place - dark in passageways and very unusual decorations.There were 4 beer taps but only one was working.

Restaurant was overpriced and not great quality food. No food in the cinema adjoining. TV streaming only by casting from a phone/laptop.

The hotel had a good vibe, modern a bit arty and quirky. Super friendly staff. The location was excellent, a very short walk away ( pretty much across the road but a big road - had pedestrian lights so no probs) from teh lake which was lovely to go and sit beside.

Heh can someone turn the lights on. It is great to have an arty funky vibe but you do need to see where you are going. the room was clean but if you look in corners etc it could use a deep clean every now and then.

Location of the hotel.Staff were kind.

Value for money. Why charge double the price just because of an event?That price would have landed me in a 4star hotel.

Good location

The room was tiny. Couldn't squeeze between the bed and the wall without ribbing your shins on the bed and back on the wall. No where to sit. Bathroom had glass walls so if you used it at night it lit up the room while partner was trying to sleep. The roof and walls were exposed concrete that still had markings from construction. Felt unfinished. Light switches where confusing. The hallways to the room reminded me of a horror move with minimal lighting. Payed parking at $40 per night.

Parking was a little confusing and the hallways were a little stuffy.

Was a last minute decision to stay in Canberra for new years and the Ovolo was able to accommodate this discussion without any issue.

Everything was just perfect. Parking was easy.

The bed is very comfortable, and the staff were ready to help

Our initial room was very small, but we were later upgraded to a more comfortable and spacious room

The team at Ovolo went out of there way for my birthday staycation, received a free drinks voucher along with a nice card and plate of chocolates

Funky building and lobby design. Walking distance to where we needed to go.

The design of the room left a little to be desired. Hard to reach power points, small ironing board. Need a less obtrusive path from Reception to the lifts.

Lovely room, great location, good service.

Some maintenance issues - no hot water one morning, room phone didn’t work, Alexa speakers would not play music because too many devices were in use, tea wasn’t replenished when room was serviced.

Staff were very helpful especially Rose at front desk Comfortable beds Relaxed atmosphere

One night no hot water. Second night no air conditioning BUT we were given the opportunity to move into another room to sleep while ac was being fixed and our room service that night was complementary.

A lot of details, cosy design, quiet
