    Pros +

    • Location comfort style
    • The location and heritage aspects of the property. The breakfast was delicious and filling. It was great to be able to check out at 11am.
    • Helpful staff, lovely location and the old style ambience was very much to our liking. Our room was well appointed and very quiet and comfortable

    Cons -

    • Some sulky staff, expensive food
    • The courtyard was closed for a private function and there was no other outside area to enjoy the garden.
    • Unhelpful staff at front desk. Booked a twin room, arrived to a queen set up. They claimed they’d missed the request, then sent us to a DDA compliant room.

A beautiful historic hotel filled with charm and character. Loved the Hunter Lab skincare range. Super quiet, spacious, and comfortable room. Easy walking distance to many places of interest, and bus stop close by to get into the CBD.

No need to improve on perfection.

    Breakfast was great

The coffee machine and having to pay for barista coffee There was no shower curtain/door resulting in bathroom floor becoming overly wet,Fire alarm went off, could not hear announcements in my room.evacuation appeared disorganised and no staff around to direct. My room was left unclean after room service,.I complained to management resulting improvement in this service

What an amazing hotel, steeped in history, very quaint and tucked away in Canberra. Great location for so many vantage points. Amazing breakfast and we ate a wonderfully prepared dinner. Garden area was tranquil.

There were a number of additional surcharges, which came as a surprise.

The Kurrajong has a delightful "olde worlde" atmosphere where charm and history more than make up for the lack of every mod-con you'll find in a newer hotel. Staff are friendly and the service is prompt and personal. Frankly, given the convenience of the location and the charm of the setting, I don't stay anywhere else in Canberra.

On previous visits, I've had a struggle with the air-conditioning but not this time, which was just as well given the 40C temperatures outside! The time taken to serve breakfast was longer than ideal but at least I was warned beforehand. Perhaps staffing was short on the day.

Great location for walking to National Gallery and Parliament house.

My room didn't smell good on arrival then I found a very full rubbish bin from the previous guest that hadn't been emptied.

Love the history of this building and superb location, easy walk to so many places of interest. A few good cafés and Barton Grocer store close by. Also, close to bus stops - handy and cheap for going into city and other suburbs rather than drive and pay for parking. Love the large bathroom mirror and the magnifying hand mirror was appreciated. The hotel certainly has an air of elegance, however, a few points of improvement ...

The pillows are far too soft, wish I'd brought my own. The chair and footstool in the room look very dated, rather grubby and material faded. The mini fridge was only just cool rather than cold No ice compartment. A complimentary bottle of water would be appreciated. After loving my stay here 18 months ago, I was quite disappointed this time. Long walk to my room - it's a maze of corridors, fortunately well 'signposted' to lobby! I did not eat in the lovely restaurant, too expensive. Some of the lights in the room were not working and I did mention that to Reception when I checked out. I am concerned that this elegant hotel is not being cared for as well as in previous years.

    Cleanliness and location.

Front desk services not great. Didn’t take initiative to show us where to park after we paid for parking. Doesn’t know much about charging too.

Lovely heritage hotel, room was spacious.

Not soundproof walls, could hear the room next door and their conversations.

    Location is quiet and convenient.

Room was not prepared (unfortunately for my case) when I have arrived despite being past 2pm. Some already opened bottles not removed. I was not given directions for my room nor explanation of facilities available unless I had to ask myself. I was not provided awareness, especially as an unexperienced hotel visitor, that some items were charged.Key card had some issues unlocking the door.

Lovely room, unfortunately problem with TV. Resolved by staff.Good Breakfast. Enjoy historic aspects of your hotel.

    Location was excellent

Absence of concierge service and bell hop. Parking arrangements very confused

    it was comfy and quiet

I couldn't use the usb connector in room under the tv. my phone didn't charge

Beautiful environment and the room was lovely. I was able to work in my room on one of the days. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the food at the restaurant was excellent. Thank you

The 'glamping' experience is unbelievable - pure luxury! The hosts are so generous and warm , the accommodation is first class, food & hospitality is 'off the scale' and all on a goat farm! If you need to 'get of the grid' for a few days then visit this very special place

Its a total experience in every sense. There was nothing that we didn't like other than we couldn't stay longer!
