Size of room. Parking.
Room was caked in dirt - as in sticky to the touch, mysterious stains, other people’s hair, and thick layers of dust. The fridge stunk for some reason. Bathroom smelt like damp and smoke. No bug proofing. Lacking extreme basics - including stuff required to use the facilities on site. Eg cutlery draw, washing up sponge, pegs for clothes, bathroom bin. Met with shortness when I asked the host about these things. I’m not fussy and it did the job but felt genuinely unhygienic and uncared for. Honestly, a little creepy/eerie
Its location was great and it was clean
The dbl bed in the kitchenette area sagged in the middle and we kept rolling into each other all night. Bed needs a new mattress or base or both. Also we had a tea towel and dishwashing liquid but no dishcloth to wash the dishers. 2 dessert spoons, 1 soup spoon and a parfait spoon. Who wants to eat cereal with a soup spoon or parfait spoon? Surely 3 dessert spoons could be provided. Curtains need some repair and windows need cleaning.
The size of the room was approiate to what we required
False advertising- on the photos for the motel it has a photo of a pool which is misleading as the pool is not for guests, this photo needs to be removed, we booked assuming there was a pool only to be told its private and not for guests on arrivalCleanliness- the room was not cleaned to standard at all. The bathroom had pink mould in the shower, soap scum on the glass, this is not hard to clean at all and is disgusting. There was hair and dust all around the toilet, mirrors were streaky and hard to see in, cups dirty with a lipstick mark, floors not vacuumed well.Basic hygiene standard- the bed did not have a mattress protectors, this is absolutely disgusting and not an appropriate standard of hygiene. Expecting guests to sleep on simply a thin sheet with no protection, any sort of bodily fluids are seeping straight through, it actually makes me feel sick that we had to sleep in those beds.Customer service- the man who checked us in was rude and arrogant, when I tried to ask about the pool he kept talking over the top of me, not interested in anything I had to say.We often stay in small motels as we travel for sport. We know what to expect from an older style cheaper motel which is value you for money but this place should not be operating, it was disgusting and I want to be compensated for the misleading advertising and disgusting hygiene levels. I tried finding somewhere else to stay for the night but unfortunately, hobart was completely booked out. I have way more photos but it won't allow me to upload anymore, I would appreciate being contacted about this.
Only location
First of all, there's no swimming pool, despite the pool being advertised on your website. It's dirty and lacks basic kitchen utensils.
cheerful, obliging staff Kitchen could be better and cleaner
laundry and kitchen hours not convenient for travelling guests
The staff are always very welcome and provide great service.
The carpet was dirty and some of the dishes had not been washed properly.
Nice large room. Comfortable beds Perfect for a quick stay Nice and clean
Was a little far from where we needed to be but is a nice area to walk
Comfortable bed and location was good.
The kitchen supplies were sadly lacking, no coffee, a few tea bags, no tea towel or cloth to wash dishes and no floor mat for bathroom
Location to Hobart is good
Car park is ridiculous if you have a 4wd or dual cab, no air conditioning, you can’t sit on the toilet normally you have to sit sideways no room between wall & toilet, bed was extremely uncomfortable with electric blanket power controllers digging into your sides, swimming pool not useable
Peaceful location, off street parking and secure place for accompanying travel equipment.
Very poor
This was booked for the main accommodation area but the room was in a old house upstairs which you could hardly move.
Handy location
The pool was not available. We were told it was closed because it was not heated, we said that was ok. We were then told it was for private use only. We stayed 1 night of the 9 we prepaid for. Waterfront is refusing to refund the the 8 unused nights. Sunshine the manager is a rude, narsistic, condecend liar.
The Manager was brilliant. He went the extra mile for everyone and nothing was too much trouble. He was friendly, professional, an excellent communicator and a pleasure to deal with.
It was not close to anything.
Check-in process was a breeze. Lots of parking, and beds were really comfortable (more firm than pillowy if that makes a difference to you) and the double bed was not just two singles pressed together like other places do. Very clean room and good air con.
These are more 'things to take note of' rather than anything wrong. If you're thinking about parking in the lower car park best to walk down and check for a spot first as turning around if all the spots are full is a trial of patience and angles. The walls are quite thin and lots of light enters the room at night (I use ear plugs but whatever someone was watching a few rooms over was the exact tone to still be heard). The shower (at least in the room I had) would be difficult for anyone of great height or width to use as it was very narrow.
Very poor
Cover on foot of bed quite stained. Draws broken. Pool was listed in facilities, wasn't very clean, and we were told it is for private use. Not worth 250 for the night.Definately won't book again.
Never staying there again i...
Smelt like sewage, floor was uneven and falling to pieces, no spare toilet paper in the cupboards got given half a role, draft coming through the door, was cold and the heater didn’t work, a lot of other stuff i could put down but i will not be staying there again
Freshly painted, bright colours. Easy access from car park. Rooms were clean and tidy. Handy Kitchette.
