Pros +
- Helpful and supportive staff. Location and great bar and pool facilities. Fabulous!!!
- I love the whole building and the courtyard garden and fountain add an extra glamour to the place. I particularly loved our apartment! The staff are excellent, the adjoining bar and restaurant are elegant and serve delicious food. Also GREAT location!
- Location only!
Cons -
- I loved everything.
- Building is old, rooms don¿t get much sunlight
- Where to start? First of all, they advertise, with pictures their rooms, then give you something else. When I raised this, they moved me to the room I actually booked, and then behaved like they were doing me a favour. Overpriced and dirty! My room was not cleaned properly, every single day. I had to ask for it to be cleaned, multiple times. Again, staff baffled as to why I would ask for the floor to be hoovered, etc. The pool is disgusting, with dirty tiles above the water line that have never been cleaned, as a build up of human body grease. This is a serious health hazard. The gym had overflowing bins that were only emptied weekly. I had to ask for my bed sheets to be replaced as they weren't done after 6 nights. They advertise doing this every 3 nights. This is a breach and health & safety issue. The 'kitchenette' is a tiny sink, fridge and microwave. It is not a kitchen that is equipped with much at all. This is a listed building that is not looked after at all. The city health department need to shut it down. Overall, extremely disgusted by the lack of cleanliness, the false advertising, the lying, the bad treatment, the bad attitude of superviors/managers, disgusting treatment towards a guest (when a guest shouldn't have to raise one single thing like this in the first place), badly run, overpriced, liars. A disgrace to Adelaide, you should be ashamed of yourselves. They tried to offer me a bottle of wine, when you should not be charging people for this disgusting example of very bad hospitality in the first place. This has also been reported to the local authorities to handle, because, yes, it was that bad.

Best hotel I’ve stayed in for a while! Location , room size, amenities, service all excellent.
Parking is in a parking garage off site and was a bit of a challenge if you did your own parking
Excellent location, comfortable, clean room. Nice large bed
No one at the front counter in reception to greet you
24/7 reception and the very nice breakfasts,
Carpet in the apartment is too old and should be replaced.
The apartment was perfect for a week long stay. Close to the Central Market, Tram, and main attractions. Very quiet despite being in a city hub. Front desk staff were very helpful. Gym and pool were available. The old Treasury building repurposed as a hotel was charming and formidable. Restaurant on site was both convenient and delicious. Inner courtyard was delightful.
Kitchen could have used better cooking gear. Mostly overhead lights so hard to relax in evening. We requested a table lamp which made a difference. Bed was a pillow top, so too soft for me personally but my husband was happy. With small adjustments, apartment was wonderful.
Large spacious, well-equipped room. Plenty of storage and place to put things, including in the bathroom.Comfortable bed, nice balcony if the weather had been fine!
On-site cafe that was the breakfast option for hotel guests was slow service at the weekend. Improved communication between the two establishments could let the cafe know when guest numbers are high to enable them to increase capacity.
Lovely spacious historical building which is still shown off for its previous lives. I especially liked the access to old cellars and courtyard. Wonderful long access to pool and gym.
Great location, very helpful staff, amazing heritage building.
Rooms feel a little tired which is understandable given the property but it could do with a refresh.
Location, pool & spa.
Room was very dark with little natural light. It felt closed in despite being a very large and comfortable space. Decor was also dark. Bigger skylight, or one of those fake skylights/windows would help. Lighter carpet/wall colour.
The apartment included great facilities that had been well thought out which included a comfortable bed, good air-conditioning and kitchen facilities.
The apartment was right next to the outdoor bar area. Since it was winter there was no one outside but if you were staying over summer this could be a problem as we had a very early flight the next day.
Couldn't fault the room and the balcony was a wonderful surprise.
Clean towels more often, carpet hoovered. Otherwise great.
The size of apartment 49 was great. Having a separate lounge and kitchen area was good for us. The extra tv in the bedroom was a bonus. It was very quiet so we slept well. The location was perfect for us. Breakfast served in the restaurant was good value with a few choices of meals. The service at the front desk was friendly and efficient. The cleaning lady was cheerful and efficient.
The shower over the bath is not ideal for us. We fear slipping. Also, our room could do with a fresh coat of lighter coloured paint as it looked a bit tired.
Excellent stay. Enjoyed having tv's in bedrooms. Spacious with comfortable beds. Staff were excellent. Close to trams, restaurants and walking distance to mall.
The location of this hotel is incredible. Bed was comfy, bedroom was nice and quiet (we stayed on the east end on Level 1).A/C works great. Washer and Dryer in the room made it very convenient.Gym, pool and jacuzzi were welcome extrasKitchen inside the room was also fairly equipped. Dishwashing liquid and washing powder was also provided.
Building has aged, there are cracks in the plaster in the room and the floors creak loudly, which isn't great for a sleeping baby. Can be quite noisy in the entrance of the apartment due to other guests, but very quiet in the bedroom.Shower / bath's handle is in the middle of the shower, and so is the tap, which gets in the way if trying to have a bath.We stayed for 4 nights and sheets weren't changed, though towels were.Parking is off-site and is an extra $25 per day.
Location was fantastic - so close to the inner city. Room was spacious with separate bedroom and large lounge room and dining room and kitchen.
Booking.Com listed that parking was available, however the parking was off-site and cost $25 per day
The room was huge with high ceilings and ample living space and a great kitchen and laundry
Parking was a fair way from hotel.
Staff are amazing helpful, informative and accommodate our requests. Room was spacious and clean. Location and the decor are supreme.
