    Pros +

    • The location and just the room was awesome, hopefully able to stay again in the future
    • Location is amazing, other than it is right across the road from The Coffey Pub which has a disco Friday night that went until after 1am. If they have double glazing - it isn’t working.
    • Its proximity to the water and jetty road.

    Cons -

    • No nothing at all
    • The pillows on the bed were all huge, so I had to sleep on a rolled up towel. The entrance is on street that is not the address, so we called the hotel and Andre told us we were already sent that information. Not helpful
    • My side of the building was directly opposite an extremely noisy pub - and the tram line also right in front of the pub so couldn’t leave the balcony door open. Fire alarm went off for no reason at 9pm and apparently this had happened many times.

Great location. My room was massive! Good selection in the mini bar.

Fire Alarm Panel was going off both days. Also, the design of the bathroom, as the room is a complete open plan.Just a note that you can't charge back drinks from the roof top bar as it's separate.

    No pool

    The location

The receptionist who booked us is wasn't helpful didn't give us much information about the hotel we had to ask and only gave us the times it opened. We went to have a drink and food and told the bar & restaurant had nothing to do with the hotel as my husband when told they were fully booked and he said we are staying here and thats when he got told!

    Location and facilities. Great balcony.

Unfortunately due to road upgrades it was noisy.

    5SarahPosted on: 2-1-2026

The location was a redeemable factor

Flat mood check in service staff Bathroom has a bad set up. No sealed toilet or shower doors. Like public stall set up. ZERO toileting privacy. Consider this carefully. Bathroom sink and mirror no privacy. In middle of room open planNo shower shelf - our stuff had to go on the ground 5th floor - rooftop bar above room - noise at night and chairs dragged across floor/music Aircon seemed to struggle at night. Woke up warm many times Parking is expensive compared to other hotels at $40 a night Have to request room clean by 9am if you required one that day

Loved the location and the room itself was well appointed. Bit odd there’s so much space but no table or couch etc but still really nice. Will def stay again

The lack of door in the bathroom. They only service your room if requested at the reception before 9am on the day. The fact there is no way to order food or drinks to your room is also a little odd.

Location was brilliant but otherwise the hotel was disappointing. Reception only manned 8am to 8pm and entry to hotel was at the back up a scruffy temporary ramp.

Understood the reason behind having to request each day if you wanted room cleaned but I did think water would be replaced each day automatically.

The room was modern, clean, large and in a great location, it was 1 minute walk to the beach and to great restaurants and bars

I found it hard to find at first as the entrance is a hole in the wall.

This hotel exceeded our expectations. Our room was amazing. Location was fabulous, staff were so helpful and the room was modern and clean. Will definitely be staying here again.

Location was excellent. Stroll to beach and promenade. Short walk everywhere we needed to go. Loved the modern style of hotel and the interior decor. Extremely comfortable.

    6CraigPosted on: 1-22-2026

The beds were comfortable. Airconditioning was good

When we were at the check in point, we were put into a disabled room ( neither my partner or I have a disabilty) that had a just a basin. No vanity to put anything down so, in that respect we were extremely disappointed as this room could have been used for someone who has a disability. the shower toilet and sink were all in the same bath area. This is also NOT the room that we booked.

We had a lovely stay at The George in Glenelg. Room 304 had a fantastic view over Moseley Square and the street below, which made the stay feel extra special. The room was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and thoughtfully set up. The bed was super comfortable and the small couch was also great for relaxing. Overall, a really comfortable stay in a perfect location.

One downside was the tiny kitchenette area, which didn’t have a sink, so we had to use the vanity taps located in the bedroom area, which wasn’t ideal. It also became quite noisy in the evenings, as noise carried up from the restaurants and bars on the street below. That said, it’s a great location and a comfortable place to stay if you don’t mind some evening noise.

    View from room was great

TV doesn’t have rotating arm meaning you could only watch from the couch, not the bed.Could not get hot water for shower at 10.30am

The Position in relation to the beach

The air-conditioner would turn off constantly and need to be turned back on.The power point for my phone and the bed light switch were too far from the side of the bed.The bathroom had no room on the basin and no drawer for personal items
