    Pros +

    • Acceptable level of cleaniness
    • Location & Staff
    • The room was nice but not for the price paid, did not meet standards of facilities, view or cleanliness as other rooms in different hotels around similar prices. Some staff were fantastic with check-in.Hotel was somewhat accommodating when needing to extend our stay an extra night due to suspected food poisoning (not from the hotel).

    Cons -

    • Our stay at Oaks Adelaide Horizons Suites was extremely frustrating and unacceptable. When booking the accommodation, it was clearly advertised that the room included a washing machine. This was one of the key reasons we chose this property. However, after checking in and attempting to wash our clothes on the second day, we discovered that the washing machine was not functioning properly, and the dryer was not working at all.We immediately reported the issue to reception. Despite this being a serious inconvenience, the staff took a ridiculously long time to respond. Eventually, they offered to dry our clothes on our behalf, which we reluctantly agreed to as we had no other option. When we received our clothes back, we were shocked to find that our new clothes had been damaged, with the damage costing more than the price of our entire accommodation. To make matters worse, the staff casually explained that their drying process usually takes around 2.5 hours, during which the machine repeatedly fills with water and drains multiple times—something that likely caused the damage. This explanation only highlighted how unsafe and poorly maintained their equipment is.This experience reflects extremely poor service, lack of accountability, and false advertising. The facilities provided do not match what is advertised, and the handling of the situation showed a complete disregard for guests’ belongings and time.I would strongly not recommend this property to anyone, especially if you rely on in-room facilities as advertised. Very bad service and a huge disappointment.
    • Shower area was confined to the bath tub. Very inconvenient, especially for Seniors.
    • The bathroom facilities were not as clean as had hoped, visible mold around the spa-bath, shower was extremely small with minimal pressure.Day staff (including 1 manager) were rude and unsupportive when having to request an extension due to suspected food poisoning. If we could have walked or even sat up at all that morning, we would have checked out of this place and gone to another hotel. After verbal approval for a stay extension (had checked prior for availability), there was no support in setting up the extension booking from staff and received pressure from staff and manager once boking had gone through (for same room and on same card), to appear at reception (despite being sick) to confirm payment. Even being threated to be kicked out at one point, again, despite already having card details on file and knowing we were having issues due to being sick.Plenty of lighting but not natural (only 1 window with a view of a multi-story carpark that blocked a lot of natural light.

Great location to stay for a work conference. Breakfast was amazing! Very convenient location. Well equipped room. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Easy location to restaurants, shopping. Very roomy and bed very comfortable.

Only dislike was the shower inside the bath as we were both elderly

    8AnitaPosted on: 10-11-2025

Location is excellent, I liked that there was 2 entrances to the bathroom between the hallway and the toilet and the bedroom and the toilet, an essential for when you have a toddler in the bedroom. We could walk to most places in the city. The parking downstairs was also very convenient though also not cheap at $40 per day. They also provided a cot for us which was good, but that also cost $20p day Breakfast included was $25 voucher at a cafe downstairs which didn't really cover a meal and coffee but maybe a pastry and coffee but the food was overall good. Apartment had everything you need to keep a family alive and is close enough to shops you can get everything missing. King Bed was comfortable and large enough to fit two adults and a toddler in-between. We didn't use the pool or gym facilities.

Only issue for us was that the cleanliness of the bathroom wasn't super clean... There was definitely some mould on the edges of the bathtub tiles. The apartment also doesn't come with enough dish soap to do more than clean one dish so we had to go out and get dishwashing supplies.

    Central location.

In desperate need of a refurb - shouldn't put pictures up of refurbished/redecorated rooms if they are not all like that. Was aware our room wasn't serviced however you should be provided for everything you would need during your stay, such as enough toilet paper, dish washing liquid etc.Dishwasher did not work properly, had to ask for instructions on how to use the washing machine. No security, anyone could walk in and use the lifts - it said you needed to use your swipe card but they worked without it.For the price we paid, this was not good value for money.

Location was great, right near the central metro railway station and close to a metro tram stop. Friendly staff and good facilities. This was 4 night stay. When I saw construction works next door, I thought might be a concern but didn't hear any noise. Would stay here again.

    Clean, tidy, great location

We were there for a Concert at the Festival Hall so the location was excellent. Our first room backed onto Hindley Street and it was very noisy until 3:30 in the morning. My wife complained in the morning and we were relocated to a room at the front of the building which was fantastic. We also had a shower over a bath in the first room which we considered very dangerous to get in and out of, the replacement room had a separate shower.

The location was really great. It is in the heart of Adelaide right across from the railway station and Sky Casino. The trams and buses go right past.

The shower was over the bath and the main hospital is down the road so ambulances go past during the day with sirens blaring.

Great but zero view and not sound proof for construction work

The other construction site straight face to our balcony and super loud in the morning when they start working

    7MelaniePosted on: 7-9-2025

We were upgraded to an executive 2 room apartment. The size and layout of the apartment was AMAZING!! The location was fabulous, and the staff were lovely.

Unfortunately, it could have been cleaner. The tiles in the kitchen, may have been clean but they look dirty. The same with the carpets and the curtains. There was mold in the showers. Both ensuites' smelt of moldy soap, or blocked drains. This apartment could be amazing with a fresh paint, new curtains and carpets and a thorough clean of the bathrooms. It was just old and tired.

Fabulous view, could see river mountains and the sea from north balcony. Noisy outside but inside excellent sound proofing. V comfy bed, super quiet, couch ok, big tv, small fairly functional kitchen. Great to be able to park on site although expensive. Great location for city activities. Staff v helpful. V functional heating/coolng, can control it yourself.

Loose kitchen sink tap. Could only get to car park from one lift and lift call buttons brought them all, complicated to get there. Washing machine unusable due to dirt contaminations, and no way to dry clothes.(no rack or dryer). Shower in bath with high edge and no handle - no good if sore joints or not stable on feet.

Very clean and modern apartment. Location perfect for public transport, Adelaide Oval and Adelaide CBD

The view to the scaffolding next door and the noise from 7am from power tools on a Saturday morning :(

    9MAN M.Posted on: 6-13-2025

The room is clean and kitchen is well equipped. The view from the room is beautiful.

It costs $40 per day for car parking. A bit too expensive.

    8JAMESPosted on: 6-10-2025

    Great location lot of space

Not that they can do anything about it but a construction site next door

    7EmmaPosted on: 6-9-2025

    The location

No daily room service, some parts run down

    8KellyPosted on: 6-1-2025

Good location, easy walk to most places. Room was great, nice and spacious with all amenities of home.

Only things I can pick on would be that the spa wasn't working, the water pressure in the shower was terrible and tea/coffee/milk supplied was minimal- just enough to make 2 cuppas ?

We had a 1 bedroom unit. It was extremely roomy and comfortable. Staff were happy to accommodate anything else we needed. We didn’t do any cooking but there was no need. No onsite restaurant but a great area for cafes & restaurants5 mins walk to trains, trams & buses. Very close to railway station, casino, Adelaide oval, convention centre.Nothing negative to say about this property.
