Palmerston Tower on Southport Broadwater

My stay was disappointing due...

Unfortunately, my experience was negatively affected by the conduct of certain staff members. I found their communication to be unprofessional and, at times, impatient. During my interactions, I was given inconsistent and contradictory information, which caused unnecessary confusion. Additionally, the tone used in communication felt unfriendly and dismissive.

The location was really good, with an expansive view of the broadwater and boats. The bacony was a bonus. It was close to an aquatic centre, Australia Fair and restaurants. We loved that we had an under cover parking space and visitor parking. The kitchen and bathrooms have been renovated and a washing machine and dryer included. Kitchen was well-equipped.

We were happy with the facilities overall. I'd just suggest that the furnishings need updating now that the renovations are done.

Great location, clean and tidy with a fantastic view. Bathrooms were a good size and beds were comfortable.

The beds did not have proper bedding, missing a duvet and instead had a sheet and a blanket. The fans remote were missing batteries and fans just did not work well in the bedroom to keep it cool enough. Cupboards throughout the flat were locked using bicycles locks and were off putting. Main couch in front of tv had blankets covering couch for some reason.

The location was good.

The first night was fine, on the second day the circuit breaker went off and most of the electrics in the apartment would not turn back on. This included the fridge, dishwasher, Aircon in both bedrooms, all power points in the bedrooms and the power point for the tv and WiFi modem. The hotel's solution was to provide us with an extension cord to watch TV, no offer of a room with functioning appliances or reduction in price noting key features I'd paid for were no longer available. We could not keep milk or food in the apartment due to the fridge not working so ended up spending more than budgeted on takeaway as well. I would not recommend anyone stay here, it is run down and the staff are rarely available. Check-in closes at 2:30 pm, contrary to what is advertised on Bookings.com. Due to arriving after 2:30 pm, the property insisted I provide a copy of my photo ID via their online portal to gain access to my room.

Reception only available 9.30 to 3pm. Most tourists us included are out from 8 to late so. We didn’t get a chance to ask about the broken fan or weird aircon on second bedroom. I rang the number but they said to see reception. Water pressure esp in shower was terrible.

Requested that the main room have a TV. The photo that was sent to us on our reservation showed main bedroom with tv overlooking to seaworld which is what we requested as I was bed ridden the whole time as I had surgery.

The building is old so expected a bit run down. Bed frame and furniture was old.. rusted bed head Massage chair didn’t even workNo one is ever at the reception A mishap of my child reverse locking the bedroom door then had to call a locksmith out . Wearing an out of pocket cost “ouch” And toiletries are not provided for the whole stay unlike the other apartments

The location was very good with playgrounds, water activities and cafes a short walk away. Walking and bike paths along the waterfront are also over the road from the accommodation and Australia Fair is close enough to walk to. The only negative is that it is on a busy road so can be noisy and you must cross at the lights but they're only a few metres away.

I haven't any complaints.

The location was great. It was close to everything that i needed during my stay.

The couches were a little uncomfortable and dated. They also seemed to be a little grotty and unclean looking.

The view from the apartment was wonderful and it was very close to the Whale Watching Departure point which was the main purpose of this visit

The room was dirty, hair in the sinks, floors slimy and gritty, no blankets. The air con and ceiling fan didn’t work and couldn’t get any help.

It was a good location for us to base our day trips from.The unit was spacious and the views of the Broadwater from the balcony were great.

Up grading to a more comfortable lounge and better quality coffee would be nice.

The location is great right opposite parklands. It is also quite a spacious unit.

The property is in various stages of disrepair i.e. curtains are torn and sagging (the hooks have become brittle and fall off) making them hard to open and close. All the blinds are very stained and moldy. The blind in the lounge room window doesn’t retract properly and sits all bunched up on the ledge. The kitchen mixer tap is very loose and comes off in your hand. There is a plug with a hole in it so you can’t fill the sink with water to hand wash dishes and there were no cloths either to wipe down the benches - one tiny sponge There are various holes and screws in walls where things have once been attached? The shower (in bath) tap fell off as there is no washer/screw holding it on, and 2 of the shower screens are missing. Also the soap holder is broken and unsightly. There were two tiny rolls of toilet paper - not enough for 4 people for 4 days. No face washers or hair conditioner. Broken floor tiles in the kitchen.There was no other provisions apart from salt and pepper and a very small long life milk with a straw for the tea and coffee.

The location of this property was fantastic. It was great for kids, with plenty of areas to walk around and explore. The surrounding atmosphere was very family-friendly, and we loved how close it was to parks, as well as the great food options nearby. Being within walking distance to many places made our stay very convenient and enjoyable.

We booked this property for five people, however upon arrival we discovered there were only four beds and four towels provided.On the first night, this resulted in my husband having to sleep on the floor, which was extremely disappointing and uncomfortable. On the second night, we were forced to hire an additional bed for our son, which meant we had to pay extra money that should not have been necessary given our original booking was for five guests.This situation caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience during our stay and did not match the booking description or our expectations. We feel this issue should have been avoided and would appreciate this feedback being taken seriously so future guests do not experience the same problem.

Noisy main road, curtains need to be blackout morning sun beams through the cracks ( and holes in curtains ) needs a paint touch up, new curtains without holes, instructions on how to use things eg wifi etc
