Allure Stradbroke Resort - Walk to Beach at Point Lookout

Friendly helpful staff, perfect location

The unit needed a really thorough cleaning. Most surfaces other than the kitchen and bathroom were slightly tacky and there was mould on the bathroom ceiling.

Wonderful location, the beach shack was spatious enough had a full small kitchen and also a bedroom on level 2.

Super cozy and fully equipped if you want to cook. Every single detail was clearly taken into consideration to make it easier for travelers. Very clean and super comfortable! It was a delightful surprise to get up in the morning and seeing two adult kangaroos sleeping right in front of the porch!

Locaction was perfect as it is close to the two main restaurants on the island. Short drive to the main sites and views.

Parking is a bit tight for a larger vehicle

They gave us a beach shack that overlooked the bush, so it was nice to sit outside and just take in the nature. There was a kangaroo there when we arrived. It's a spacious shack. Smart TV has all the apps you need, there's also a variety of books provided if you ever get bored.

It's a bit run down and could do with more upkeep. The kitchen tap is basically detached. The window on the roof leaks when it's raining and it's just above the couch - so there's nowhere to sit without getting wet. There's quite a violent dripping noise that sounds like someone is about to break in whenever it rains. Parking is a bit tough - there's not a lot of space to manoeuvre especially if all the other guests have their massive 4WDs already parked in.

Difficulty getting a barge booking for this time of year.

The location, style of the shack, shower, and facilities were meeting the expectations. Check-in was easy, as well as the check-out. Very close to the beach

The beds could be more comfy, and the windows could have a blind; the room was very bright very early. The roof is not thick, and we can hear the rain very loudly, but this didn't bother me so much.

Very well equipped, staff were very friendly

We had in our room a paint very political oriented that is not acceptable for New Caledonian people like us. We needed to live New Caledonia because we were in danger and the paint was promoting Kanaky free. All kanak people are already free, they don’t pay anything in New Cal as the other people, education, health etc everything is free that is not the case for many countries including Australia. So having a paint like this in an hotel is just not acceptable

Excellent position

Villa was in two different set ups so to use bathroom, you had to go unlock your room then outside and unlock the main area , bit annoying in the rain .

Liked the privacy separate units afforded our family groups

Abundance of cockroachs.2 hotplates worked but not simultaneously.Reported to office.Other appliance faults in other units. Didn't like paying for a unit we cancelled .We were warned, but you asked !

Spectacular location, really friendly staff, loved the little balcony out the back.

Bed was a bit soft, hard to get the room properly dark to sleep in, and would be helpful to have a few basics in the kitchen (salt & pepper, oil). But still a lovely place and we will definitely be back!

The great decks out the back of the apartments were naturally private with trees and shrubs was a fantastic. The out look when relaxing in the afternoon was perfect. The Apartment was just perfect for what we required for our holiday.

I don't think there was anything i didn't like maybe just the markings for parking was hard to see and was a bit confusing.

very nice place, awesome view backing onto the bushland. It was easy to access the place and within good walking distance to the beach, bowls club, restaurants and cafes.

The beach shacks are super cozy and their location right across from the beach makes everything so convenient. This is the second time we have stayed at Allure and the staff are always so friendly and do their best to go the extra mile. The onsite cafe has some of the best and most affordable food on the Island. We will definitely be back again next year.

Unique, well appointed, conveniently located. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The coffee shop was great and likewise with great staff.
