Pros +
- the location and apartment was great, the inside of the apartment was beautiful and the bed very comfortable. would definitely return again.
- I've stayed at Hillhaven 3 times before and LOVE the location and the size of the apartments.
- Next door to Burleigh Heads National Park and lovely short walks.
Cons -
- the parking arrangement did not suit, we had to park right at the top and as we struggled with the climb up it was not suitable. going down the steps to the apartment was also not a pleasure, we wanted to get away from steps/stairs.
- Not particularly comfortable (bed, lounge) or clean. We booked a standard two room apartment and were allocated unit 3, which is one level above the lowest level. The carpark across the road was very busy almost all day and we didn't enjoy the noise and constant movement as part of our view from the balcony - pretty distracting. There was a light on overnight that lights the lawn areas of the units at ground level and this shone through the vertical blinds in our bedroom (no air-conditioning or screens on the sliding doors to the balcony, so ceiling fan used overnight for comfort). Although laundry facilities included in the room type listing, our unit's laundry had been converted to a small third bedroom and did not have a washing machine or tumble dryer. We wouldn't choose to stay here again.

It was in the hub of activities and we went for walk’s every morning. The view was spectacular and our afternoons was spent just looking at it. Will definitely go back again as l enjoyed sunrise and sunsets. The manager was great to talk to and very helpful.
No air conditioning
All very cleanGreat space in the living area Comfortably sized bedrooms Kitchen well suppliedAmazing viewGreat location - close but away from the noise of the main shops and construction + super close to National Park
All met expectation - fans only so may get hot in summer but perfect for other months
The location is excellent! We got to see whales from our balcony. The apartment was clean and beds very comfortable. The staff were all super friendly and accommodating and went the extra mile to make sure we were having the best stay. We have already booked our next holiday there!
It had a lift for my mother. It had one great room which I gave to her- the views were spectacular near the beach and woodland. The restaurants close by were amazing. We went to tropical the first night and Rick shores the second.
The sofa was pretty warn, The tv took an age to sort and the two white spots on the screen looked as if somebody had thrown the tv controller at it?. It was raining for the first day so there was an urgency to entertain-
Needed aircon. Was hot and stuffy. Hard to sleep
Awesome location
-Tiny car spaces that are awkward to get in and out of- no hairdryer or ironing board in room (and no information about if your where they are)- no hand towels
Excellent location, which is why we chose this apartment. Shame there was an event in the carpark opposite as this obstructed our view. Great size apartment, good facilities which included a useful washing machine. There was a bit of confusion with the carpark spaces. The spaces were very very tight, good job my car isn’t that big. We were told to park in space 23, but came home one night and someone had parked in it. The only spot I could get was out on the road.
Enjoyed being on the Burleigh Hill. Walking distance from Swimming flags and James Street.
Apartment was old (no air con, chipped tiles throughout) and didn't have a view of the ocean as I had expected. I was placed in a side unit that overlooked a complex under construction that had tilers looking into my bedroom. The ocean view was off to the side of the unit seen from a tiny balcony. Complex was not at capacity and therefor didn't understand why we didn't get an ocean facing unit. I could have stayed at a better unit for the price paid. Very disappointed.
View was beyond amazing. Apartments a little run down, though still made for a comfortable stay with the family. Cleaning of floors etc could be improved. None of the doors inside the apartment closed properly and unfortunately renovations happening in room next door so at times very very noisy. Parking very tight but lucky to be in top carpark which seemed to have a little more space.
The view
There was no air conditioning, the light in the kitchen was broken, no pool or spa.
This apartment block was from 1954 but had been updated. The cyclone had water damaged our original rooms and we were relocated to a lower unit. A further relocation was necessary when we sought a more comfortable apartment. However, the location and access to Burleigh Beach and headland walks was excellent
Car parking was difficult in the assigned spot so we had to shuffle around to a suitable place.
Great location, amazing view, excellent kitchen, lounge, laundry
Bathroom dated, kids bedroom blinds damaged at the time, no aircon.
Location was great. Apartment was very neat and tidy
Car parks are very small. Had trouble getting the Prado out of the park.
Great location - great views of the Gold Coast - ocean breezes - easy access to beaches walking shops.
There is nothing we didn’t like - this property ticked all the boxes for us !
The Manager was amazing! I was seriously stressed about the on-site parking which is extremely tight when you have a big vehicle. He made daily adjustments for me & my family which was above & beyond expectation.
No air-conditioning & the parking.
The view.
The apartment is old and in need of some fixing and general maintenance. It wasn’t super clean on arrival.
Perfect location. Apartments are old but are clean and tidy and have everything you need (except air conditioning!)
Parking was a very tight fit! And we didn’t realise when we booked that there was no air conditioning. Middle of summer in QLD heat the unit was unbearable, we ended up cutting short our stay and leaving early because the unit was just too hot and we couldn’t sleep, nor could we spend any time in it during the day. Very disappointing indeed. I went back through the reviews and finally found a post that said there was no air con, I wish I saw this earlier because I would never have wasted the money or our holiday staying here.
