Mermaid Beach Park View

The owner was very helpful. She made sure that the check-in process was easy. She even called my boss to make sure that I was happy with everything while I was there. The rooms were really nice and the cleanliness was great.

What is not to like?

Definitely NOT good value for money.Would not recommend staying here. Property very outdated and poorly maintained; it’s in need of a big renovation. The promotional photos are very old and show the property when it was in good condition, so was misleading. Bed was very uncomfortable. Pullout bed-couch was extremely worn out. Shower tiles were pulling away from wall along one side and had been patched up. Patio tile grout missing. It was evident the owners aren’t interested in providing a high quality property for the prices that are charged. Office was not open most of the time. Very disappointing stay here.

Great location.

The terrible smell from the fridge/freezer. Someone before us left what smelt like bait in the freezer. This smell went through the entire apartment. I was told a cleaner was unable to come until after our stay. I ended up cleaning it myself. We avoided being there as the smell was so unpleasant.

Close to where we needed to be

3 flights of stairs and no lift and I am 67The bed was terrible I could feel the springs in mattress

The apartment is close walking distance to the beach and other areas such as restaurants. You felt safe walking around at might, there is a lovely park right next to the appartment.

They were very accomodating in minding my luggage. Very friendly staff.

Great location, good value for money.

Shower was ordinary, there was no consistency in temperature and pressure. It went from hot to freezing cold without touching it.

Perfect location and the manger was very kind, caring and welcoming.

Booked for a 5 day stay and was only supplied with 2 rolls of toilet paper, if more was needed it was at an extra fee. Also there was initially an offer to have a full refund but later found out there was no refund.

Sufficient for what we needed. Bed was comfortable.

Apartment was in back corner of complex, ground floor. Was dark, needed lights on all the time. Construction next door blocked any light from western side. Noise also during working hours.

Options way too expensive. Pool towel $10.00 if available. That's ridiculous.Extra coffee sachets or milk tubs two for $1??? Very poor indeed.

Property was good value for money, little bit dated but perfectly comfortable.

Could do with some minor bits of maintenance.

poor quality furnishings - charges for extra coffee/sugar sachets etc. bed linen was extremely poor, no face washers, sand in the pool, too many conditions - vacuum cleaner at office, put furniture back in same spot etc. For the quality of the room overpriced
