La Dolce Vita Hotel

Location and light / ocean view were amazing. Also the sound / lightproofing for sleeping were very effective.

Parking would have been nice. Had to park under City Hall for 3 days.

1. The location is perfect. Next to the beach and a few minutes walk to the city center. 2. The lobby is very cozy and cool with a bar where you can get water and so on.3. The staff extremely nice. They are very helpful. The manger is all the time there controlling the quality. 4. The room was very clean and spacious with very good AC.5. Parking is a bliss.6. The breakfast was very thorough and definitely worth the price. Also very good quality cheese, Salami, egg, Croissant, pancakes, fruits, juice, etc.7. There is a kettle with tea and instant coffee. Definitely one of our best stays.

1. The internet was fast enough but I had to reconnect frequently, which was no Problem. 2. The water bottles are not included in the room. Which was also no problem as it was available at the bar all the time.

Everything. The staff very kind and polite. The location is the best. Cleanness great. AC perfect. Parking very convenient.

The hotel had a pleasantly designed lobby and good location.

The hotel states that there is Air Conditioning. When we arrived at our room it was very hot. I played with the thermostat for a few minutes before going to the front desk to ask about instructions to get it to work. They informed me at that time that the Air Conditioning is not available till June 10th each year and is controlled by the "Building" that the hotel occupies. They offered us a fan. Room was HOT to sleep in. We booked a "garden view' room. Our room faced a PARKNG LOT, not a garden. There was a Mattress and other Furniture stored in the hall directly by our room entrance. We had high hopes for this hotel as it looked nice in the listing but we would never stay there in the future.

Location is awesome, directly across from the beach, easy walk to restaurants and shopping.

Not sure if it’s us English speaking customers or not, but just no offer from staff to help with questions, so I assume it’s the language barrier for both sides. Good luck with parking, we were lucky to find a spot, even though the hotel had parking, when we asked, the staff person just shrugged their shoulders. The room had no coverings to block out the outside lights, so anyone could look in the room, since we were on the ground floor. $20.00 + for the breakfast was a shock, when it was all self service and minimal choices, but having lived in Italy years ago, nothing really surprising.

BREAKFAST Very poor breakfast and not a good service. it was pretty much all over and we asked to add what was missing. not a good value for 12€ for person.PARKINGTo enter the private parking you must always notify to have the barrier opened. it would be better to be autonomous

Seafront location perfect. Airy, open plan Italian-style lobby/breakfast room and welcoming mood. Service friendly and helpful. Bedroom small but pleasant with comfortable bed, plus good, contemporary bathroom and nice towels. Do book a room with a view.

Although the coffee was good, the breakfast was very basic and "plastified" with cheese etc in individual plastic packets and uninspiring croissants and really basic yoghurts. Improve breakfast and add a few Italian touches as it's an Italian-owned hotel. Otherwise, a good experience and very good value for Menton.

Really nice location - between Mirazur and the old town, on the beach. Bed was very comfortable.

If you get the ground floor, you will hear reception pretty clearly from the beginning of the morning.

The only positive of this hotel was the location.

False advertisement of sea view room (209) with air con, as there was no sea view room and the air con is switched off from 1st October.Hotel itself is generally quite tired. Needs some investment to maintain a standard anywhere near 3 stars. Fridge acted as a radiator, as it got so hot while making nothing inside remotely cold. Light fittings next to the bed almost screwed out of the wall when trying to move the readings light. Two sockets in the room didn’t work. Towels need replacing desperately. All walls are marked and scraped. All staff were generally quite miserable, unhelpful and unapologetic when anything negative was brought to their attention. Only pleasant interactions were with the cleaners.

The room was spacious and hotel in a good location

The room advertised as "mountain view", was really not, just a car park and can slightly see some cliffs through the gap of the stairs and other buildings. The parking was unusual with it being staff operated only, and no access through the door to the reception so a walk around the building was needed

Quite late checkin, when we arrived late afternoon but the room was not really ready. There was a bit of noise but they tried to change our room. The man at the reception in the evening was very kind but the woman in the morning was so so

The room was clean, the beds comfortable and the wifi worked well. The welcome was friendly.

The "mountain view" was a view in the backyard of the parking. The room has the atmosphere of a hospital - no decoration whatsoever, very sterile. It was a room on the ground floor, one could hear the noise of people at the reception hall and in the morning my door was blocked by laundry bags I needed to climb over. Some mold in the bathroom tiles.

The locations

The room was not very clean. There was mold in the shower. The air conditioning didn't work, at midnight we talked to the front desk. They said they turned the air conditioning on, but it still hadn't cooled down a full degree by 8 AM the next morning. The location is good, but I think there are much better options than staying at this hotel. We've stayed in a dozen different places this trip alone and this is the only location that I've given a negative review to

There was a beach just across the road! Very clean and everything that was required

Road was a bit noisy in the mornings. A large “listed”tree blocked our “view of the sea”The receptionist tried to charge us extra for the room and didn’t speak good enough French to be able to sort it out with us. Eventually she called a manager who changed the bill.
