Pros +
- Location, history, staff, breakfast. All excellent!
- wonderful beach location
- LOCATION. Excellent staff!!!! Beautiful garden and terrace
Cons -
- not well maintained, showing its age. breakfast offered a lotbut quality was low
- Cleaning can be better
- If I could leave -5 stars, I absolutely would. Do NOT recommend!I paid extra for a sea view room—see the attached photo to understand what I actually got. When I questioned the front desk, they didn’t even bother to check availability and just said no other rooms were open. After 10 minutes of back and forth, I was offered a lower room with a patio view. Again, I paid for a sea view. I was told the property manager would follow up within a day or two. Spoiler: no one ever did.The single room is tiny—so small that my luggage barely fit. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, with a thin, cheap mattress that offered no support. Definitely not what you’d expect for the price. The overall cleanliness was below expectations. The carpets are old and dirty—you’ll want to keep your shoes on indoors. Housekeeping is incredibly loud in the mornings—it felt like someone was shouting in the hallways by 8 AM. The walls are thin, and the staff seems completely unaware (or uninterested) in the fact that guests are on vacation and maybe don’t want to wake up that early.Breakfast? Good luck. If you’re not there at 7 AM sharp, everything’s gone by 9:30, and they do not restock. On my final night, I tried to eat at the hotel restaurant and was rudely told there were no tables available for a party of one. When I spoke to the front desk (same woman who checked me in), she just shrugged and said, “Yeah, you didn’t have a good experience here.” That was the extent of her customer service. And to top it off, I was charged $20 for a taxi I never asked for.Disgusting service. Dirty hotel. Uncomfortable rooms. Total disrespect for guests. I will never stay here again—and neither should you. Just gross.

We chose the most expensive room ex luridly on the water but it was a very bad choice We were on the road and extremely loud and noisy Staff were clueless and there was only one guy we had to wait for him 20 min to open for us the door after 10 pm The whole hotel was empty of staff Old building Also 9:40 no breakfast while we paid for it No staff to refill Only one guy security at night It’s clean though But the room was very small Ok size terrace Good view
We didn’t like our stay and we won’t come back
The front desk staff was wonderful. The room was nicely decorated and well air-conditioned. The beds were comfortable, and the shower was great. We enjoyed the balcony. The hotel is so close to the beach and to the shopping area. It was perfect for us.
The breakfast staff was overwhelmed and surly. The food was not tasty. The coffee machine was broken from time to time, and there were no clean knives. The second morning we didn’t even bother to go to breakfast. We did have a lot of condensation drip down from the air conditioner in the ceiling and make the corner of the room wet, but the maintenance man came quickly and fixed it. He was very friendly and accommodating.
The location was exquisite. I awoke to a view of the Mediterranean right out my window a half a block away. The bed was ridiculously comfortable. The amenities were excellent. It was quiet and clean (so clean) with lovely nice touches.
Perfect location, bright clean room, friendly staff.
Breakfast was very poor.
The property was perfectly located across the street from the beach. It was central to everything in Menton.
It felt old and uncared for. The views were perfect, but there was no decor on the walls, bland is the word that comes to mind.
I lived my room overseeing the sea, perfect location.
The room where dinner was served was lacking any kind of atmosphere, kinda like a cafeteria for large elderly tour groups, but the food was good. Not much of a bar either with no ambiance to hang out. It’s fine for breakfast, but, I would definitely prefer to go off premise for the other meals.
Hotel at the beach and the city center
- No amenities in the room- Carpet flooring quite old and not properly clean
Location and sea wiew! Big room and bathroom. Big breakfast with many options.
Hard bed. Paper cups. Lot of noises from stairs and corridor. Very bright lights on the outside on the building shining in to room.
Arrived late 9.30pm, Reception staff excellent-Linda, &Matthew helped with luggage, and let us park at the front, until morning, only problem was only a 24hr underground car park☹️ Breakfast was included and it was very nice.
Well located and the staff were lovely
Breakfast was OK
Coffee machine was too slow, went outside and bought a coffee. Waiter had to deal with some maintenance issue on the coffee/chocolate machine, perhaps it’s worth purchasing a new one, most people were complaining.
My bedroom was on the street side whereby it was extremely noisy, maybe earplugs should have been supplied.
Location
Room tv very poor, no streaming, too small for a double roomNoise at front of hotel from 3.30am EVERY morningBreakfast area coffee machine a struggle, one machine broken for 3 of 4 mornings
Excellent staff and very clean
Our room was rather small and the sea view restricted. A fridge is required and paper cups are not acceptable. The bar area is very uninviting
The breakfast was adequate I would have preferred more variety of cooked vegetables e.g. mushrooms, ttomatoes. Good location. Close to the sea and shops.Friendly and helpful staff.
The room was rather small. We had no comfortable chair or space for one. There was only a desk chair. The bathroom was very small. Again no space for a stool or chair to put clothes on.It would have been use ful to have a fridge or kettle for drinks..
Breakfast was varied and excellent. Hotel very clean and staff very accommodating.
The rooms desperately need an upgrade. Looking tired and a bit scruffy.
Lovely location and communal spaces.
The furniture is a bit dated, as well as the carpet and amenities in general.Based on the price, I would have like to have little extras such as lotion and shampoo in the bathroom, or a bottle of water in the room as well as a fridge.
