We liked everything.
Love the location right across from the beach and close to the old town. Lots of restaurants and shopping close by.
The hotel is old and in need of a few upgrades.
Excellent staff, good location. Sufficient room, comfortable bed, good bathroom size.
Clean but very old, stained carpeting/roughed up floor base boards in the room. Thin walls-listened to neighbors tv late into the night. Hopefully they can invest to upgrade the room/hallway interiors. It has the skeleton of a remarkable property.
Great, central location. 13 minute walk to the train station. We couldn’t open the window shade and someone came up immediately to assist.
Breakfast was marginal. Limited selection.Paper towel holder was broken in the toilet room. Only one elevator to service six floors, so it takes time to go up and down.
It is right on the street where all the shops are and if you are at 7:30 for dinner - the dinner is good. The breakfast was nice but offered zero real coffee.
The property has public beach near it, not its own beach. Huge difference. Also, one of the nights we stayed hubgry because we went for dinner at 9pm and the kitechen was already closed Despite the offering that the dinner is till 10:30. The insollent front desk person told us to go fetch finner from Carfour and offered zero apologies for the hotel not keeping up with their obligations. Finally, this hotel's art is bizzarre to say the least. Too much black (depression) and red (anger ans agression). Norhing to support the spirit of vacationing. I absolutely regret booking this property. Even in the evening in which we went for dinner, the waiter messed up the order multiple times. I had to return the 1 juice for 2 hot ones, there was only 1 desert delivered but I ordered 2. Someone from the wait staff just put a bunch of table numbers on our table while we were still eating.
Location, breakfast (filtered coffee!), AC (when it worked)
We had three rooms for our family and of those three, two had to change rooms due to plumbing in one and the AC in the other. However, once settled, we had no other issues and the staff was very kind and accommodating about switching us. There was a heatwave at the time (98°F/36°C) so AC was important to sleep. The only other criticism was as Americans, we are sensitive and embarrassed over our current government and one employee kept making comments which made me uncomfortable. I hate the orange buffoon as well...and you can, actually, drink the tap water in most places in America. We definitely have our problems, but not every American is complicit.
The Srambled Egg for Breakfast.
I asked for an upgrade, which we were willing to pay for and pointed out that I was a Booing.com Genius Member. The immediate answer was NON and then "I;ll come back to you" Neither The receptionist nor any member of staff did not contact us. and there was no apology. The twin-bedded room we were given after we asked for a Twin Room was very small, over-looking the road at the back of the Hotel, therefore very noisey. The Lift was totally inadequate for the size of Hotel (6 floors - 16 rooms per floor, i.e. 96 x 2 people, 192..) - and the occupancy high. We had to wait for it to arrive every time we wanted to use it.The space for getting Breakfast was very cramped, only one person "per section", but the Scrambled Eggs were very good.FINALLY.I feel we should be given a refund as the basic room did not reflect the quality of room we had booked and paid for.
Position was perfect
Breakfast was very poor, dishes was smelling, variety of choose very limited. I had to have breakfast outside and I usually choose hotel with breakfast only.
The hotel has beautiful gardens with lots of areas to sit in. It has a magnificent view of the Mediterranean. The staff are efficient and friendly and the rooms are comfortable.
Nothing really.
The location of the hotel was very good. The reception was very hospitable in terms of welcoming and helping.Only the hotel is a bit nostalgic. If you like newer buildings, it may be below your expectations. It is a building that has preserved its oldness. However, there was a view of the buildings and live music at dinner. These are nice details. Thank you to everyone.
The old parts of the building can be renewed a little more
Breakfast buffet included lots of variety. Reception staff were very friendly. Allowed us early AND late check-in which was very much appreciated. It is a lovely hotel in a great location. Our room was very quiet.
Excellent location. Quiet. Best view. Very helpful staff. Daily cleaning.
Breakfast was a bit on the boring side although healthy.
Great location
We stayed street side to start and it got loud with trash pick up on 2nd night. They were great and upgraded us to an ocean view room for last two nights at a discount.
Location, staff, cozy . The sound of the see…..
The only thing was the breakfast. The breakfast didn’t match the class of the hotel. Bacon and salami were old. Cheese selection was awful considering you are in France!!!!They had filter coffee and it was amazing but it was cold so we had to use the machine.
Great views from balcony to ocean and comfortable bed
A bit simple breakfast
I love that the property is close by the beach. The hotel has an ornate old world style. It’s very close to shops and the old town.
The quality of the food needs to improve. The scrambled eggs on our Day 1 were dry and has dark discolouration. On our Day 2, the scrambled eggs were runny and watery.
LocationSea view
Hard to get served in the bar!Menu not great
This hotel is in an excellent location in the city centre and just a few metres from the promenade. The port is just a 10 minute walk away and the railway station is not far. The hotel is clean and comfortable. The staff are efficient. I opted for a 'comfort' single room which was adequate for me. The breakfast options are good.
No issues.
