Pros +
- My request for scent free room, linens was fully met. I had been reassured my request would most likely be met upon booking and I found it to be so throughout our 5 night stay. Friendly helpful staff. Great location for beach, promenade restuarants, easy to walk anywhere. Preferred this location to the old town beach area.
- Location was perfect with many shops and water front restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast was amazing!
- Staff was friendly, the location is good / 10 minute walk into the old city with a nice french restaurant nearby. Rooms were a decent size, and the double pane balcony door meant the rooms were quiet (car traffic in Menton is loud).
Cons -
- The hot tub was really only look warm
- The WiFi is the main gripe, they have WiFi 4, and it asks you to enter the password on a webpage every 8 hours. This is annoying if waking up, having to log in again and get all messages, a more modern WiFi would help with signal on balcony as well.
- The breakfast could be improved

A wonderful hotel with nice staff and great rooms. You have everything you need. It's just a 15 minutes walk from the centre. Book a room with seaview - it was our absolute highlight!
The breakfast could be improved
Nicely decorated, close to the water, very friendly staff, nice rooms, nice view
The only thing that bothered us was that the cleaning staff was quite noisy in the morning when we were still sleeping, it would be nice if they could be more considerate towards the people that are trying to rest.
After several nights in old-town Milan, we were excited to stay in a modern hotel with available parking and seaside views. Menton is a close location to Monte Carlo, but budget friendly and not crowded. The hotel's location is a convenient walk from the beautiful hillside historic center and newly renovated beach area. There are many nearby cafés for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We enjoyed sitting in the lobby and breakfast area and watching the sea. I recommend this hotel and particularly the town of Menton.
It was a wonderful stay and met our expectations.
Very cleanLovely staffGreat viewsBig balconiesCoffee pod facilities appreciatedSmall lift for only 2 people Gym and jacuzzi greatBreakfast a bit pricey but bread and croissants very fresh. Some more vegan options would be good?Maybe a bit out of centre of town for some people 10min walk
Superb
No kettle in the room. I don't like coffee machines. The water is never hot.
Nice sea view, free parking and clean room?
Excellent location in front of the sea. A 20 minute walk along the sea front to the livelier town centre. Excellent rooftop solarium and jacuzzi The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room was modern, clean and comfortable with modern walk-in shower. We also had a very large terrace with sunbeds, chairs and table facing the sea.
Breakfast was good. Two double glazed doors blocked out all noise well.. Drapes blocked out light effectively. Very clean. Friendly and helpful staff.
Mattress was getting oldVery small glassesNot enough milk for coffee....fresh milk would have been great.
Lovely hotel and super comfy and we would return
The croissants were not good for a French hotel so was disappointed with breakfast in our room .
The rooftop hot tub and sun lounge area were fabulous. Good to have options for parking, only a few spaces for free but paid for an off street space and able to reserve this. Good location, nice views and comfortable room.
The lift, small so unnerving if claustrophobic and didn't go all the way to rooftop.
The hotel was walking distance from the Old Town only about 20 mins slow walk along the harbour. The hotel was spotless and the staff were friendly and nice.
The only thing would be the toilet in the bedroom was so small it was uncomfortable to close the door
Great location, great price and room clean and beautiful
The room interior is as pictured. There are many nearby places for delicious pastries and coffee, which is what I chose instead of the hotel's breakfast.
The staff was extremely inhospitable, forcing me to wait hours before I could enter my room. It wasn't a question of the room being unready (one staffer did say they'd had an unusual number of departures that day, but I didn't see any activity to suggest this); it was the stated refusal to relax the policy of not allowing guests access to the room before the appointed hour. Most other hotels I have stayed at have the room ready ahead of time and are happy to let you settle in two or three hours ahead of schedule. In the rare cases when this is not possible, the host attempts to make the wait pleasant, whether it's through a bit of sympathetic conversation about your travels, a description of the hotel's services, or the offer of a glass of wine or a coffee on the house. (In fact, many hotels more modest than this one make it part of their standard service to offer a complimentary welcome drink, a plate of fresh fruit, and/or a chocolate treat. Not this one.) Btw, the following morning I left my room at 9am and when I returned at noon, housekeeping had already made up the room. I paid for a room with a sea view, but being on the first floor meant looking at traffic, hotel signage and beachfront construction.Menton claims to have a sandy beach and, while this is technically true, at least nine-tenths of the beaches are rocky. I had envisioned long strolls along the sea, but this was not possible. And the tiny bit of shoreline that does have sand is at the opposite end of town from this hotel (as is the spectacular Old Town and many of the shops).
Hotel is located right next to the beach, walking (700m) from train station and with buses outside the hotel. Staff were helpful , breakfast looked good but we didn't partake. We had a balcony (mountain view) and the road below was very busy and noisy. Laundry facilities just up the road, Wifi in the room was ok, coffe and tea making facilities were in the room , all in all it was a good place to stay. Plenty of eating places around
We visited in early Sept and Menton was very busy, beaches were packed.
Breakfast typical continental breakfast. Location is excellent together with having a sea view.
I am a very sensitive sleeper. Both my partner and I found the bed to be very comfortable. We got some good sleep which was unexpected! The view of the ocean was beautiful. We had breakfast in our room on the departure day and it was lovely to sit on the balcony and look at the water - very relaxing. They have beach towels which you can take with you on day trips. The room was clean, quiet, and a good size. We also had control of the temperature in our room which was great. Staff was professional and efficient. The hotel is modern and well-kept. There is a jacuzzi on the top floor with an incredible view and sun deck.
The shower is poorly designed. There is no full enclosure so the water shoots out the back, onto the floor. The floor became drenched during our stay and we had to use multiple towels to sop it up - an odd situation for such an expensive room. The balcony could have better a privacy screen - our neighbor peered over the screen at us while we were having breakfast which was obviously not ideal. The hotel is a good twenty to thirty minute walk from the old town and more decent food and beach options. We wanted to use the jacuzzi on our last day, but there was a strange guy smoking a cigar there, basically taking up the whole outside deck area. Breakfast is a little expensive for pastries, coffee, juice, and a small yogurt, and it is served buffet style where you have to line up (unless you order it as room service).
Great seafront location. Very clean and comfortable room and a friendly staff. Breakfast was good.
