Grifone Hotel

The hotel is situated outside the city centre therefore the area is very quiet and one can sleep undisturbed. This is very good as in the centre there are various disturbances usually at night

There is a thirty walk to the centre. The buses are not well connected. This could be because there was the Jazz Fest during our stay hence public transport might have been impacted. Finding lodging months ahead of our visit was difficult.

The staff were friendly and very helpful, but the hotel could use some renovation, as some facilities are quite old. The air conditioner worked well, and while the breakfast was simple, but good. We really appreciated the on-site private parking - it was very convenient for us. The historical center is about a 30-minute walk away, but there's a bus stop just two minutes from the hotel, making it easy to get around.

The hotel stuff was super kind and helpful. The hotel's cleaness is at very high level, although the object itself is aged. If you are willing to use public transport, the bus station is just in front of the Grifone hotel.

Internet was so poor, that the majority of time, we actually could not conect and it was pretty much disappointing.

The photos from the site address are real and you must read carefully before booking. The whole hotel is nice if you can enjoy some falling in time and having a nice personnel.

We have chosen this hotel for the free parking opportunity. With a short walk we could reached the center of Assisi. A good compromise between necessity and location.

Solid hotel, 30 minute walk from city center with free parking and breakfast. Friendly staff. Room is pleasant, although sometimes a tad snug.

The hotel would need some repairs and modernization, there was a very noisy fan in the bathroom, the doors wouldn't close, there were no drinking cups, we could hear the noise from other rooms, but it was bearable for one night

Good option for anyone wanting to visit Perugia and arriving by car, the location is ten minutes away on foot from the start of the escalators taking to the city centre and a few metres away from a bus stop for anyone not wanting to exert themselves. The hotel feels a bit dated but functional, the staff is friendly and the Italian style breakfast buffet well stocked.

Wonderful clean property with lovely excellent English speaking staff! A hop skip and a jump to central Perugia ( about 25 mins) where fabulous food and historical interest awaits. Perugia itself is a gem and the Grifone is perfectly placed and extremely good value for money.

Air conditioning was well placed and smoothly working. Breakfast was plentyful and overall good.

The room was small. The outside of the hotel is a bit uninspiring, and close to a busy road.

The staff were all very nice. The breakfast was good and had lots of offerings. The fridge was a nice extra. It had air conditioning that worked well. It had a market and excellent restaurant, Gato Nero, close by. Only a 10€ taxi ride from the train station.

It was farther from the center of town than we thought. We did walk it but the walk was uphill so would be difficult if you aren’t in good condition. There was a bus service nearby but we did not use it so cannot comment.

Good location - easy to find by car and 30 mins walk (uphill) to the centre. Quiet rooms at night despite busy road just outside by day. Very friendly staff.

Shower was small and furnishings were past their best but this was expected for the price and not a problem to us.

Traditional family run hotel. Staff so friendly and helpful. Unpretentious. Good value for money. We loved walk up hill into town each morning. 40 mins first day reduced to 20 mins once we discovered all the escalators and cut thrus. Gives you a real sense of hill top location of old town.

This is not a five star hotel and doesnt pretend to be. On a busy road, clean but not modern and breakfast is a cold buffet. I really liked its authenticity.. I would probably avoid if you dont like walking or have mobility issues.
