Pros +
- The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was well appointed and very clean.
- Staying at Hotel Fortuna has been exceptional. It is right off the main street, and yet quiet. The room we stayed in (it might be the biggest one, not sure) has restored fresco ceilings that is worthy of a museum trip. Staff were super helpful. The setting is utterly charming. The price is amazing. So we were very very happy to be there.
- In old town, fairly quiet other than a pigeon on a nearby rooftop.
Cons -
- The listing said that Air Conditioning was one of the amenities but our room did not have any.

not a thing.

Nothing to not like.
Gorgeous rooms and furnishings
Parking was “available” but far and not appropriate for elderly travelers or anyone with health challenges.
Location
Less cumbersome check-in. Clear statement at booking that the only possible check in is online. Filling all forms (excessive number) and uploading selfies is mandatory to get in. Doing it over the phone standing in the street before the locked door with luggage after long travel is quite a challenge. At least there should be a way to let customer inside to do it.
We liked everything about this hotel. The staff was exceptional. We had a problem with the toilet in our first room and the front desk clerk went out of her way to be sure we had an equally nice room. She ended up upgrading us which we really appreciated. The rooms were spacious and the beds comfortable.Breakfast in their lovely dining room was excellent. The location was also excellent.
Nothing!
Location, Clean/Comfortable, Helpful and Accessible Staff.
It was all good.
The historic building and convenient location
The bathroom was too small - no air conditioning. Pillows are like rocks.
Breakfast was superb! There was a lovely balcony off of the bedroom, which we really enjoyed. The bed was comfortable- and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
The room was a little small to our liking, but it was clean and comfortable.
The hotel was ideally located to many good restaurants and tourist attractions. The staff was friendly and helpful And, the breakfast was excellent. The rooms were clean, modern and comfortable.
Great location. 1 minute walk and you are in the main part of the old city as that is where you are staying
We came in by car. Was challenging as you need to park in city parking lot and then is about 15 minutes of walking with bags. Series of escalators but separated by stairs. if have lot of luggage not ideal. You can drive in but is a whole arrive in old city, call hotel to lower bollard to let you in, drop luggage then get out and park in same lot to get back. Getting out there are not any escalators going down so lot of bag dragging down stairs. If you have the stamina is still great location. Pictures of room on Booking.com are not close to what you think you are getting. Room we had was very simple. Images on booking.com look like high ceiling painted, something very different from average room.
Located near the historical center, it's very convenient for walks at any time. Enjoy large rooms, comfortable bedding, helpful staff, and a great breakfast. The interiors are authentic!
We experienced significant issues with parking and strongly recommend contacting the hotel ahead of your visit to clarify parking options and directions. The process of parking our three cars took nearly an hour and a half, causing us to be late for our scheduled tour.On the noise: While the hotel is lovely, it is an older building with poor soundproofing. You may want to bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper
Great location! Wonderful staff, and very comfortable room.
A centuries old hotel in a historic city
Difficult to drive to in the narrow streets.
Very comfortable. Fabulous location in the old city. A very interesting old building. Very nice breakfast
Breakfast and location
Air conditioning didn't work
Everything was very good.I am worried about a package I mailed from Perugia to my home in the USA. It has not yet arrived at my home. The Perugia post office had me put Hotel Fortuna as a return address. I am worried that your hotel has ended up with my package! Please advise!
Frescos inside rooms/ we had 2 bathrooms which was a plus, location.
Very close proximity to the main piazza. The balcony on the top deck where one could enjoy a glass of wine and the view. The third floor balcony was also very nice and private. The breakfast offered is amazing.
Loud at night if your room happens to face the road.
Staff was amazing: answered all questions from touring to restaurants to coming at night to fix bathroom door lock. Charming hotel in excellent location. Good value. Room was as pictured.
