Pros +
- Great staff .Fantastic breakfast .Good location!
- Central, no need for car to arrive to centre.
- We enjoyed our 1-night stay at Hotel Europa while visiting Perugia. The staff were all very nice, and they let us park at the hotel early, before check-in, so we could visit the city. The building is historic, so take that into consideration as renovations could be helpful but may be very difficult for the hotel to do (due to bureaucracy). The room was decent, with high ceilings and a great view, but it was a bit drafty, especially with a windy night. The bed was comfy as well, and good water pressure in the shower. The breakfast was nice, with lots of options from breads/pastries, to yogurt, to homemade cakes. We also appreciated that the hotel is dog-friendly, and in a great location--right across from a bus stop and several sets of stairs to various areas in the amazing city of Perugia.
Cons -
- Needs refurbishing.
- The pillows were, for us, terrible, but everyone has different likes with regard to pillows. Also, you could definitely hear the other guests sometimes. As noted, although it is a period property, it needed some refurbishment in places, and there was a lack of outlets in the room (but that is, again, understandable considering the age of the property).
- WIFI did not work in the room. So we could not use the TV.

Good
WIFI did not work in the room. So we could not use the TV.
The location is perfect! right beside the city center, and there is a "Scale mobile" to arrive there in 2-3 minutes, so its super confortable. Also the view of my room was absurdly amazing. I could watch a stunning sunset from my room. The breakfast is also amazing, and the bathroom and bed were super comfy.
Nothing! Everything was amazing!
Distance to the historic town centre and the picturesque views of the room, and the staff were very friendly
Breakfast
Everything was in range from fine to perfect.Very strategic location next to the electric stairs and the parking. Quiet place with perfect view.
There wasn't any problem! Niente :)
Great locationVery good breakfastLarge comfortable bedroom with good view
Wonderful location; great view
The shower floor was dangerously slippery.
Excellent position close to centre, private parking, good selection of breakfast. Elegant hotel with character.
The location is good. Usefully located next to public escalators leading directly to the old town. It’s next to a busy road though, with a small and uncomfortable sidewalk. We had a balcony in our room and the view was nice. The bathroom is nice and modern.
The hotel is in a building with other things - it’s mixed with appartements and places from other people/companies. That gives the feeling of being in a public building rather than a hotel. Our neighbour smoked (in spite of the no smoke policy) and the smell invaded our room. The building gives an old feeling, it’s not well maintained. The worst is the breakfast. It’s made of a very cheap buffet of mostly non fresh products, bad juice, hard bread, dry cookies and cakes. It’s an efficiency-based situation where plates and glasses are disposable to reduce the dishes, which are done in a small room inside the breakfast room itself. That crowned a disappointing experience in a cheap-looking hotel with little personnel and no comfort, quite different from the promises of the pictures and descriptions.
The staff was super helpful. Excellent location. Great breakfast. Would definitely recommend.
Well located, some character, fairly large room with balcony overlooking the hills- nice and quiet.
Breakfast could be more healthy (just white bread, sugary yoghurt, cake)
As we planned to use Perugia as our base, we wanted to be close to the city center, but also be able to easily leave the city by car to visit other locations. Thus, the Hotel Europa was perfect for our needs. The view from our room was excellent, the room was fairly comfortable and breakfast was decent. The hotel also provides affordable parking on site.
The hotel is on the older side and could use some modernization. The toilet in our room was built too close to the sink leaving very little leg room for tall individuals.
The ambiance of the hotel, coupled with the panoramic view over the green, rolling hills of Umbria made for a special stay. The breakfast was very generous and the hosts helpful and friendly. Perugia is a remarkable city, Hotel Europa an excellent location to enjoy it from!
Beautiful view from balcony, friendly front desk staff, room was a reasonable size. Located next to city escalators.
If housekeeping is only offered until 10:30, it would be helpful to let guests know that at check in. I would suggest having "do not disturb" signs for the rooms.
Breakfast was exceptional with very helpful staff. Our room was very comfortable, with a balcony and an exceptional view of the valley below and mountains beyond. We asked the hotel to book us a taxi when leaving, and when it was late the owner drove us to the station in his car.We are very grateful.
Geat Loction, Great Brekfast
Poor Wi-Fi
super friendly staff. the location is close to the city center and the escalator. We really liked this hotel.
Great choice of food for breakfast. Excellent location close to the escalators that take you up to the medieval city. Parking on site was reasonable. Our room was ready before the check in time and we could access it early. There was a lovely view from our balcony.
This was an old building and some of the decorating and fittings were not up to modern standards. However decorating work was going on in parts of the building. The Wi-Fi signal was not entirely reliable, though mainly ok.
