About

An elegant historic building in the heart of Perugia, now reborn under the Hilton hospitality brand. Located in the historic center of Perugia, a few steps from Piazza IV Novembre, the Duomo, and the National Gallery of Umbria, the property represents a perfect balance between history, design, and contemporary comfort. Built over a century ago, the hotel is housed within the Antinori and Montesperelli noble buildings and has recently undergone a major renovation that has combined historical elegance with the international standards of the Hilton chain. The rooms, some of which feature original frescoes and private balconies, offer enchanting views of the medieval rooftops of Perugia and the rolling hills of Umbria. The interior design, inspired by the colors and shapes characteristic of the city, reflects a discreet and refined elegance, designed to offer a memorable stay. The hotel offers three dining experiences: the classic and refined cuisine of the Casa Vannucci restaurant, the smart lunch formula of The Cloud, and the original fusion cuisine of Sushi Umbro, where Japanese tradition meets local flavors. The heart of the hotel is the charming internal square, a meeting place for guests and locals, enlivened by events, aperitifs, and live music. The Jazz Club pays tribute to Perugia's lively musical history and is ideal for an evening drink in a refined atmosphere. Thanks to its strategic location, the hotel is easily accessible by car and conveniently connected to the train station, making it the perfect starting point for discovering the city's artistic and cultural heritage.

    Pros +

    • Amazing location - right in the historic city centre and next to bus stops for the train station and airport. Reception staff were very helpful and kept our luggage after we checked out up until we left Perugia 5 hours later. Huge room, nice balcony.
    • The staff was there for anything we needed and the service was prompt and top notch. The location was perfect and rooms were beautiful.
    • The location is excellent, and the breakfast is very good. The rooms are a bit small, and some lack a good view, but the staff are friendly and very helpful.

    Cons -

    • Everything was perfect, with no negative aspects to report. I have carefully reflected on my stay at Hotel Rosetta in Perugia and I genuinely cannot identify a single negative point. Every element of the experience was handled with accuracy, care, and professionalism. The location is ideal, central yet quiet. The hotel is elegant, impeccably clean, and very well organized. The room was comfortable, well maintained, and thoughtfully equipped. Service was consistently excellent, with staff who were attentive, courteous, and highly professional. There were no flaws, inconveniences, or disappointments during my stay. The experience was entirely positive and fully met, if not exceeded, expectations.
    • Not much honestly. There isn’t a gym- I think, but we also wouldn’t be using that for this type of visit.
    • The air con in the room was poor

Hotel Rosetta is an excellent choice for anyone wishing to experience Perugia at its best. The location is absolutely prime, right in the historic center, within walking distance of Corso Vannucci, major landmarks, restaurants, and cultural sites, yet remarkably quiet and peaceful. The hotel is elegant, well maintained, and full of character, perfectly reflecting the charm of the city. Rooms are spacious, impeccably clean, and comfortable, with quality bedding and well appointed bathrooms. Every detail is thoughtfully arranged to ensure a pleasant and relaxing stay. What truly sets Hotel Rosetta apart is the staff. They are professional, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. From check in to departure, the service is courteous, efficient, and warm, with excellent local recommendations and a true sense of hospitality. Highly recommended for both leisure and business travelers seeking reliability, elegance, and an authentic Perugia experience.

The property was recently renovated and reopened about a month ago. It is beautifully done, up to date and just gorgeous. The room we had was spacious, the bathroom is great (a fantastic shower- far and few between in Italy). The location is equally fantastic and was walking distance to everything we wanted to explore. It rained unfortunately and the hotel provided umbrellas by the front door which was very convenient. We will absolutely stay here again when we return.

Not much honestly. There isn’t a gym- I think, but we also wouldn’t be using that for this type of visit.

The waiters at the restaurant were helpful. Helped us open our wine bottle and let us borrow wine glasses to bring to our room.

Forgot to being us new towels after housekeeping, then had to request new towels twice. Additionally had a staff member run after my friend and I saying that we had to check out when we still had 2 days left of out stay.

Perfect location in Perugia. Reception Staff were very helpful when my husband needed a doctor. We only stayed one night as a stop off but thoroughly enjoyed our stay

Only thing to comment on was the very basic breakfast. Saying that, there was enough to fill up on

Basic, clean hotel for a good price.

It is a little dated - but we knew that from the pictures!

    8ClaudiaPosted on: 7-9-2024

I enjoyed my staying there a lot. The room was nice, cleaned and the staff was super kind. I also liked their breakfast. I would go back there without any hesitation.

    9JudithPosted on: 7-6-2024

Excellent hotel in historic center, next to main attractions. Breakfast very good. Room clean and comfortable.Staff helpful.

    All good.

    5BernardPosted on: 7-1-2024

The hotel could not be better situated. Very Good. The breakfast was also good. The terrace restaurant is also very pleasant.

My room was difficult to find and difficult to get to. Anyone with mobility issues could not have got there. The aircon didn't work, the wifi only worked in reception, The bath plug would not close so I couldnt take a bath ,only a shower. The room furniture was very old fashioned. I became unwell and asked if where I could find a doctor. They didnt know!(?)

    7ElisabettaPosted on: 6-28-2024

    Very good location.Nice room.Good breakfast.Friendly staff.

Nice room for one person, too small for a couple.

    9BarbaraPosted on: 6-22-2024

Breakfast was varied and plentful. Hotel was in a convenient location for restaurants, shopping, and artistic/historical sites.

    Confusing entry. Uneven pavement
