It is small, but very nice. Beautiful oceanfront location and very close to the airport, which was very convenient for our late arrival and very early departure.

The rooms are large and look out on the ocean. The staff are very nice and accommodating. And the included breakfast was extensive and delicious. The hotel is quiet and has very nice facilities. Top notch!

We booked this hotel for a night because our flight was cancelled and we needed a place to stay for the night close to the airport. We enjoyed our stay. The natural pool was great and fun! The outdoor pool was also nice. We ate dinner at the restaurant and the service was great and the food was delicious. The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was clean and bed was comfortable and had a lovely view.

Well maintained, excellent staff that were highly customer focussed. Facilities were well kept, loved the ocean pool and hot tub. Ocean views were wonderful. Breakfast was very well done. Very close to airport but did not hear the noise from the airport. Staff very helpful in shuttling us to and from airport. Very pleasant people.

Location was close to airport and quiet and comfortable enough for rest and relaxation. Amenities including the natural seaside pools.

Everything was fantastic.

Everything. It’s clean, close to the airport yet somehow quiet. I didn’t hear a single plane in the missile of the night. Everything worked as advertised and I can’t say enough good things about the friendly staff. The air conditioning worked really well and I had no complaints about being cool in the middle of the night. The room felt as cool as I keep it at home in the States.

If there was an updated sauna and hottub they wouldn’t hurt but the facilities as is was incredible. I only mentioned that if I had to choose something.

It was our first trip to Madeira, and I’m so glad we found this hotel. We spent three wonderful days here, and it truly made our stay special. The location is very convenient — close to the airport, yet the atmosphere is peaceful and quiet.The rooms are spacious, with large balconies overlooking the green lawns and the ocean. The hotel also has a fantastic restaurant offering a wide selection of dishes. We enjoyed breakfast and lunch there, savoring authentic European cuisine while admiring the ocean view.We celebrated our 10th anniversary during our stay, and the staff went above and beyond to make it memorable. They were exceptionally courteous, and the manager himself came out to greet us — something I hadn’t expected, but greatly appreciated. The team also helped me surprise my wife with a chilled bottle of champagne, snacks, and a beautiful Madeira-style bouquet.And of course, I can’t forget the pools — one heated, and another set just above the ocean level, creating an unforgettable experience.

We wanted a convenient base to explore Madeira with our young family so Albatroz was perfect. We had a lovely quick transfer from the airport and the staff at the hotel were all so lovely. They couldn’t have done more to make sure we enjoyed our stay. The quality of the food at breakfast and dinner was also exceptional. Rooms were comfortable with everything you needed. The kids loved the heated pool and as other reviews stated, there really wasn’t any noise from the airport.

The decor is a little dated and the outside area could do with a little bit of work although we liked the charm this brought to the hotel. You can hear the motorway noise from the heated pool area.

Beautiful property in a great location for hiking to Pico Ruivo and Pico Areeiro. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They made us feel very special. The Hibiscus Restaurant had wonderful food and Fabrício was great!

The property is unique if not a little bit dated. But the staff and the food and the location make up for it. There’s a little bit of road noise and noise from the airport, but honestly, we just wanted to be close to the airport for our flight so Wasn’t a big problem for us.

lovely property, feels like you on a cruise but not stocked in a boat. we walked to Santa Cruz a few times and found some decent restaurants but no one beat the property restaurant

This hotel is brilliant. There is excellent sound proofing so you don't hear noise from the highway or the airport even when outside. You just hear the sea. In my opinion some hotels claim to be 5 star but aren't. This one is. Excellent food, drink, and service. If you want somewhere special and hassle free in Madeira this is it. Salt water pool and heated outdoor pool both excellent.

The staff. They were brilliant - they made us feel incredibly welcome and their service was excellent. We had a wonderful meal in the restuarant, our room was large and very comfortable with ocean views and the proximity to the airport (3 minutes away) made it very convenient. From the time of my call to the hotel car pulling up at the airport terminal building was around 5 minutes. Fantastic!

We could not find fault with anything and when we next need a overnight stay between flights we will definitely stay here.

The property was beautiful and clean. Breakfast was delicious. Loved the balcony and view. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

I don’t really have anything negative to say. Some people might not like being right at the airport but it didn’t bother us at all.
