    Pros +

    • The property has been remodeled is beautiful and very comfortable serene environmentTop by the pool was amazing
    • Really great location, lovely staff, rooms were nice and very clean, ac worked really well
    • We loved our stay. The hotel is wonderful, with an excellent team. The reception staff were very attentive and always ready to help. We were pleasantly surprised with a welcome drink and a fantastic room upgrade. We couldn’t be happier with our choice!

    Cons -

    • Basic room tiny for two people so we ended up upgrading to bigger room. Coffee at breakfast not to my taste. Husband liked it though.
    • Room 112 overloking street and restaurants. Quite noisy, especially at the weekend, with noise until the early hours of the morning, not from the restaurants but the bars further down the street.Pillows were lumpy and not very supportiveNot many drawers or hangers - exposed wardrobe which I personally don't like! No hooks in bathroom for towels. Bathrobes not provided, unlike other 4-star hotels we have stayed at in Madeira. Egg menu at breakfast with an extra charge. €6 for an omelette!!Breakfast staff made no attempt to acknowledge any guests. No proper shower facilities on the rooftop terrace, only a toilet & washbasin.Hotel does not have a proper bar, but as we were checking out I noticed a limited drinks list on reception. Not mentioned at time of check-in. Pool table in lounge area, but no details of where to get the balls from and reception wasn't always manned
    • A few drawers for clothing would be good otherwise wonderful.

Great hotel, nicely decorated. cosy room, good bed. Nice area.

Our room was ready early, which was appreciated after an early flightLarge double bed, which was VERY comfortable. One of the most comfortable hotel beds I have ever slept in - Shame about the pillows!Bathroom not huge, but adequate. Shower was powerful, with lots of hot water and complimentary shampoo/shower gelVery useful double USB socket and USB sockets at each side of the bedComplimentary traditional Madeiran cookies and bottled water, which was replaced daily. Fridge in room which was great for keeping drinks cold. Room was spotlessly clean throughout our stay.1 comfy chair in room, with a foot stool, which doubled up as a seat, not ideal for 2 guests to use.Nice rooftop terrace. Pool big enough to swim, not 25 metres, but ok for a quick swim and pool towels provided in room. Small vending machine on rooftop. Plenty of sunloungersBreakfast was good, with reasonable choice, including cereal, bread, cheese, meat, fruit and cooked items. Not all breakfast items were replenished!

Lovely, individual and slightly quirky. Small and not at all touristy, wonderful breakfast that you could eat in or outside, delightful roof top pool and superb location. Probably one of the best villages to stay at on the island with loads of good restaurants within 50 yards of the hotel.

A few drawers for clothing would be good otherwise wonderful.

Very central. Can walk to shops, restaurants and harbor. Frequent busses to main Funchal.

Beautiful hotel, in the heart of Camara de Lobos. There were so many lovely restaurants right on our doorstep. You are also a stones throw from the sea which was amazing. The staff at the hotel are excellent, so welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed a couple of chilled evenings at the hotel as its such a lovely building, with a great pool table.

    No complaints.

Location, clean, quiet even that it's located in the centre of an old town, building is nice and combine old fisherman's house with modern hotel, room is cosy and clean, bathroom is comfortable

Breakfast was always the same, so you get bored after few days, team at the breakfasts and in the reception was not very helpful and nice, parking was not available but some options were proposed (unfortunately comfortable parking with a hotel card is much more expensive than paying everyday with coins directly), water in a swimming pool is very, very cold and it was impossible to swim, couch was not very comfortable to sleep (option if you need 3 beds)

A very cozy hotel, with many small cozy spaces for relaxation. We lived in a room in the hotel tower. It's a great feeling to see views to all four sides of the city.

There are no minuses, except that the hotel does not have its own parking. But there is a city parking nearby, which can be used for 4.5€ per day.

Super nice staff, great service, great breakfast (even got a take away when we left early to watch sunrise) great location with super nice restaurants around (can recommend the one directly on the opposite side of the hotel entrance)

we had a smart tv but it was not possible to watch Netflix or any other streaming platform. Bathroom was smelling weird on last day.

Location was spectacular. The little village has everything you need and fantastic restaurants all set on the most beautiful location. The hotel is a gem. Beautiful pockets of outside space inside for resting and relaxing. Superb. Breakfast is perfect.

The room we had overlooked a back lane so we couldn't use the balcony or open the curtains. It was also quite noisy due to the street.

    Location, view

Bathroom door broken and no privacy.

Hotel was amazing. We booked it for couple days, and the location was great, staff was very friendly, polite and professional, and also the rooms were very nice, quiet and cozy. Breakfast was delicious, and the atmosphere was great. Also, grocery shop is located nearby, so you can buy some food and other important things there.

There is no hotel parking available, so you have to use publicly available parking spot. It's quite close to the hotel, But: there are some locals (who look homeless) which are trying to help you by providing guidance to park, and then will ask you for money. If you don't pay, they might scratch your car. So beware! It's a public parking spot, so you pay either via app or parking machine, not to locals! My suggestion, same as the hotel would give you, is to park inside the parking house in the end of the street. (you can pay there with cash, which will be much cheaper than via the hotel reception).

The Fisherman Village is a gem. Everything was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The location is ideal as a base for touring without the hassle of much busier Funchal. Although the hotel is run on a B&B basis, you feel as if you have a choice of different restaurants every night, as there must be 20 different hostelries within meters of the front door. The breakfast was very good and the staff were friendly and helpful. We rented a care through the hotel for a few days and it was delivered to us at reception with parking just a minute away in the municipal car park.

Lack of any drawers in the room to fully unpack.

It a very comfortable accommodation with modern interiors. Very good service and support. Excellent breakfast.

Hotel located on crowded street in the center of the village. There are lot of restaurants and bars around. Thats why a big part of its rooms are noisy. In some of them impossible to sleep.

Breakfast was generally good but the same every single day, could have been some varieties
