Moxy London Excel

Great location, lovely stylish property. Tube station very near. Great for access to the Excel. Staff very helpful.

Very close to airport and can hear planes taking off/landing

We had the family room with our 4 and 2 year old. It was fantastic. Our room overlooked the airport so they could see the planes landing and taking off.

I didn't like that there was a European plug socket next to the bed. As we were in the UK, I didn't think I would need an adapter so I had to buy one. There was only 1 socket on one side of the bed and none on the other side which didn't make sense to me.

Design is fresh and clean, location was great for what I wanted. The receptionist was very nice and helpful

Parking round back was awkward with other cars parked in a way that the disabled parking was impossible

The cleanliness of the room was terrific. The bed was comfy. The staff was attentive. I liked the grab-and-go style open hotel market at the entrance.The amenities were good.

It would be nice if it were not a little away from Excel, but it was ok.

I enjoyed that we got a welcome drink on arrival. The view from the sixth floor of the river was also particularly nice. Stylish lobby with pool table and photo booth made it fun for us. Pet friendly so there was lots of dogs to see. Room decor was nice and approachable though perhaps not as characterful as the lobby, the bathroom was nice though. Plenty of mirrors for getting ready since we were there for an event. Accessible by DLR and very close to the Excel Centre (Walking distance). We arrived a lil' early and they were able to accommodate us thankfully.

The answer phone message was quite confusing and not as professional in the context of an important section of a trip. The breakfast layout was a little unclear, some items were hard to find and there was a bit of a cup shortage

I was there for an event at the Excel and the location was only 3 minutes walk to the excellent centre . The entire place was very clean and the staff were always available and friendly .

The room was very basic ,no wardrobe and the bathroom was tiny but rate was the same as a lot of the hotels next to it .Also the distance to the excel was very misleading as the easy enterabce was only a 3 minutes walk and you can walk through to the west side Enterance .

The hospitality and team were super nice and friendly. They were quick to respond to issues.

The room was cool and comfy. Nice view. Good shower and it was clean. I slept well on the first night. On the second night I didn’t sleep and was still awake at 4am cos of some banging noises in the night.

Everything was fantastic staff location and cleaniness also great choices for breakfast

Shower was not very powerful

The property is in a great location with easy transport links. The staff were extremely friendly, warm and helpful. The room had everything we needed, and was exceptionally clean.

Moxy is a no frills venue, but it has and provides everything I needed for a 2 night stay in London for a conference in Excel. Price was half of what the surrounding hotels were offering. Room is comfortable, a good size and clean. Breakfast and dinner options were reasonable. Also enjoyed a check-out time later than most (by 12 noon). Staff were very friendly and quick to please.

Some downstairs entertainment was a little worn like the arcade machine, but everything else was amazing

The social part having a pool table and then having a bar as well also a late check out is even better

Some of the usb wall connectors were broken and the bathroom door would not shut fully

Close to a metro station, nice view at the London City Airport, good for plane spotting, room was clean, bathroom as well. The beds were VERY comfortable. The room also had EU sockets so I didn't need to buy an adapter. We arrived at 3AM and still were able to check in without an issue. Overall, pretty good value for the price.

The City airport doesn't have any flights during the night so the noise doesn't disturb people living close by, however, they start between 6AM and 7AM. It's not super loud but if you like to wake up late and wake up easily, you should consider this.

Bathroom wasn’t that clean. Also staff forgot we did a late checkout and kept harassing us at 12 asking us to leave with the door having a Do not disturb sign on. It was very annoying as I had to explain I paid for a late checkout multiple times when I was woken up from my sleep

The room was nice, basic but as expected. The breakfast was reasonable small selection for choice. Great location just a short walk from the Excel.

The heating temperature was set far too high and unable to adjust in the room. Had to turn off and open window which in London does not lead for the best nights sleep. Evening meal left a lot to be desired, came out luke warm at best. Iron in the ironing room, was not working properly on 3rd floor.
