London City Airport Hotel

It was very close to the Excel exhibition centre which had an event going on the weekend of our visit. The food was good and the staff was lovely and helpful.

Sometimes there was strange banging going on and you could hear when people was speaking in other rooms.

Good location and the staff were very friendly. They have a nice outside smoking area with seating that is covered. Bar area is very cosy.

Room was quite small. And bathroom was a wet room. If you had a shower the whole bathroom was wet. Other than that though lovely. We booked last minute as previous accommodation let us down. But pleasantly surprised.

Hotel was very clean and the staff was extremely friendly. Overall it had all my basic needs and the public transit options nearby are also solid.

Some minor things that can be improved on:- I didn't sleep the best and that was a combination of a bed that felt a bit bouncy and the lack of options to block the light in the morning. The curtains just weren't blocking it properly.- The shower temperature had some fluctuations during use. Not a big deal, but slightly annoying.

Our stay at the hotel was very nice. The staff was very accommodating and the room was nice and clean. There was also a kettle in the room with complementary coffee, tea and cookies. Would recommend.

Walking distance from the airport terminal. Ideal for late flight arrival and/or early departure. Walking distance to the tramway stop at the airport.

Closeish to London city airport

Location didn't feel too safe late at night. No heating in room, not very clean, room tiny, checking in late at night can be an issue. It's evident that they often have problem guests as the night reception staff appeared very guarded and required a credit card for deposit.

Proximity to the airport

It smells terrible. The rooms are very small, the beds are uncomfortable, and it feels dirty.

Clean, quiet and great location Staff very helpful

Very helpful staff, they were brilliant leading up to the stay- providing detailed information about the location, and parking details (of which was reasonable cost for London). The stay was great value for money - I didn’t expect luxury, but it was exactly what I desired for the price paid. Location was perfect for my visit to the ExCel (about 30-40 min walk, of which half is a nice walk along the river)

Be wary - if you plan to park at the hotel parking, the underground space is quite tight. Large cars (SUVs, vans or bigger etc) may not be able to manoeuvre into spaces.

Have stayed there a few times. Proximity to city airport is ideal but it is a very pleasant establishment which I would use even if I wasn't flying.

I couldn't figure out the temperature control in the room but reception came up and explained it. Also the pop up in the wash basin was stuck in the closed position but again the staff soon rectified the problem.

Easy found, in great location for City Airport, Buses and DLR. Staff were friendly, professional and helpful. Quality food and drink readily available and politely served.

Good WiFi, comfortable bed, & USB plugs in the room. 5 min walk to the airport terminal.

220V euro plug in the bathroom didn't work. The room was pretty loud being right next to the train tracks. Also it was quite noisy when other guests entered their rooms.

I liked the design of the communal area and reception. The rooms were not really spacious but for a quick stop over for an early flight I was really pleased with my booking. The room was clean, had everything I need - even biscuits which you don't get at a premier inn anymore!

Plan ahead if you're walking there, the footpath goes through a housing area which is a little intimidating in the dark alone but it's a really short walk to the airport - less than 5 minutes!

It's not far to airport to walk but not good if its wet and dark. A taxi has to travel further plus £8 airport charge.
