Macdonald Berystede Hotel & Spa

Lovely hotel with great facilities at a great price. Breakfast was really good, staff very friendly, spa facilities brilliant, rooms were clean and spacious. We stayed here when we took our son to Legoland and will definitely stay again. Fantastic value for money.

Layout of the grounds, mismatch of location areas, pillows were rock hard I've stayed in far better hotels for less.

Excellent sized room and walk in shower.

When the room was serviced, stocks of coffee and toilet roll weren’t replenished.

Excellent location near to Legoland, great breakfast, EV charging available, and clean, comfy rooms. Excellent service by the reception team.

Mattresses were a little uncomfortable and we were given a room without enough beds in on our arrival (although the reception staff were excellent and quickly rectified the situation by moving us to 2 twin rooms in stead.)

Not many staff, very busy at breakfast......they didn't seem to be very organised.Too many children is the swimming pool, late afternoon, which spoilt a 'relaxing' day.

My room radiator was banging all night the water temperature in the room was warm had to be to another room on second day the man on front desk wasn’t helpful food in the evening restaurant was to long and came out not the way we wanted

Location was great we were going to Ascot Races . The breakfast was good . Great selection my husband enjoyed the potatoe scones .

We had booked into for the valentine meal for 7.30 we were still waiting for our food at 9.45 . No apology no update . The 2 little scallops were over cooked . The steak was good . The potatoes were cold . Our friend had the rack of lamb it was 3 tiny lamb chops .

Top class venue with helpful,knowledgeable staff.Good parking, smart reception, great well fitted room with all amenities.

Staff in the restaurant were exceptional.Spa was very clean, although very busy.Wonderfully clean rooms.All staff were polite and welcoming.

More beds in the spa would be better as we struggled to get one because so many had towels on but not being used. I dont think there is room for anymore though.

Receptionist was responsive when arranging for us to change rooms but very long walk to most rooms was not great.

Standard rooms are very very small. Tiny bathroom- you can barely turn round in the small space between the bath, toilet and sink unit. No lights in the ceiling at all. Just side lights and a standard lamp. Be warned if not fully able it is a long walk down corridors and stairs to most rooms. The 'free' wifi is very slow and not usable for most things. They offer 'premium' for £9.99 per day. Would not expect this in a 4 star hotel. No sockets of any kind next to bed either side. Again, needs updating in 2026!

The room although compact (i was staying as a loan traveller) was lovely and spotlessly clean. Really enjoyed the access to the spa and pool. Plentiful parking. Main hotel beautiful and all the staff were attentive and lovely

I stayed on a thurs eve and waa quiet, due to few people at breakfast and lack of turnover the serve yourself cooked breakfast was tepid in temperature. However all the restaurant staff lovely.

Good location. Comfortable bed.

Long distance from reception to my room in corridors with various steps to negotiate. I find the lighting in the room too dim, it was very difficult to read by or put on makeup.

Facilities

Breakfast was extremely poor, not much choice and when you ask for vegetarian sausages they burnt the first batch then nearly 25 minutes later they still were not served. Tea was extremely cold for both days of our stays.

Friendly, welcoming staff, smart entrance and public areas, and good spa facilities including the sauna, outdoor jacuzzi, pool and gym.

The upgraded room felt tired and dated, was a long walk from reception, lacked bedside plug sockets, had weak and slow hot water in the shower, clunky technology, and slow response from reception when ordering room service, plus a very average breakfast.

The spa and the dinner were ok
