    Pros +

    • Fantastic location and presented so well. A great find. The staff were so lovely and friendly, every single owner of them. We visited Windsor for my wife’s birthday and the hotel left a lovely card and little box of chocolates on the bed, which was such a nice touch. Breakfast was outstanding, lovely produce and cooked fresh, along with everything you could need from continental selection.
    • Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Tea and coffee provided in the room was good quality. The breakfast was excellent with very good options. Service was friendly and efficient. The dining room was very comfortable.
    • Liked the ground floor rooms - a bit like individual bungalows. No road noise. Located in Eton - about a 10-15 minute walk into Windsor. Lots of shops and eating places around. Very good value with breakfast included in the price. Very reasonable car parking costs compared to other hotels in Windsor

    Cons -

    • It was a shame we couldn’t keep our car parked for a little longer, as we didn’t arrive until 6pm and had to move it by 12, but that was because they were fully booked, so understandable. Though it made for quite a stressful dash to find a car park before our castle tour, I should have asked in advance, so it’s not their fault.
    • Rooms lacked the ‘luxury’ feel of a 4* hotel. One day our room did not get cleaned despite us having the sign on the door handle that said ‘please clean room’. We had been out all day, and when we got back around tea time and just wanted to chill, it was very disappointing to find the room as we’d left it, with unmade bed and bathroom. I called reception and the receptionist advised all the cleaning tags had now left for the day. He offered to give it a ‘quick clean’ but we declined and ended up making the bed ourselves and cleaning up the bathroom. Not a dealbreaker, but a bit disappointing.
    • The biggest issue (we were in room 22) is a 'tapping' noise (presumably from the central heating) in the ceiling. At 5am it sounds like someone using a staple gun!Minor issues were the size of the cups provided - way too small to use with the excellent range of hot drink sachets on offer. The entrance to the parking is quite tight if you've got a wide car.Anyone who wants to wet shave will need to boil the kettle as the tap water won't be hot enough.

Friendly greeting and very near the location i required. Breakfast was good.

Room was freezing when i arrived. Perhaps previous guest changed the radiator but it took ages to heat up. Paying extra for parking.

Lovely room and bar and breakfast room

Nice walk to Windsor castle . Comfy bed. Good breakfast. Nice staff. Calm and safe.

The very usual: bedside lamp not suitable for reading and bedside table too small for your things, especially with the inadequate lamp taking up space.

The location was good. It was quiet.

Totally overpriced for what was on offer. Small and in need of an upgrade. We were told our dog was not allowed to be left alone in the room, however this was not mentioned until arrival. So our trip to the castle couldn't go ahead. This is not my definition of a dog friendly hotel.

Great location, friendly and helpful staff

Steep narrow staircases were tricky with large heavy suitcase and no lift

What a wonderful hotel, love the little chalet style rooms which are cosy and private. I’m so pleased I booked this hotel, super quiet, comfy beds and exceptional customer service. Loved the fact that they provide bottled water in room and a great choice of coffee, teas & biscuits. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The breakfast choice is amazing, good sized portions, always tasted great and cooked well. I will definitely come back and recommend to others too. The location is ideal and a short walk away for all Windsor and Eton activities. Thanks so much for a wonderful week!

    Nothing not to like!

    great location for what I...

I didn't understand the need to pay for parking in their private car park! Also, i was shocked to find that if I booked via Booking.com I was entitled to a free drink which i had enjoyed on all my previous stays at this hotel :(

Great size bedroomBeautiful new bathroomGood breakfastNot too far from WindsorParking on site

No choice of pillow - too big for my personal preference

The location is perfect near the river and the central town. Beautiful well cared rooms and the staff were so polite and always ready to provide the best service. Breakfast was excellent and so delicious

Cozy nice room, cozy bar and nice breakfast

All ok if you don’t mind a cozy small room

    10KimberlyPosted on: 1-21-2026

The room was on a second floor and no elevator. We will return and request a room with no stairs. The bed was comfortable and we love this location in Elon as it is very walkable to Windsor. Breakfast was 5 Stars and the onsite pub was very enjoyable

No elevator, room needs to be refreshed.

    5MarkruddPosted on: 1-20-2026

parking not available as someone else parked in my spot

if the radiator worked in my room we were freezing all night even though I requested some sort of heater as the radiator was broken

    9LindaPosted on: 1-20-2026

We were upgraded and had a lovely ground floor room. The car park is quite tight. The location of the hotel in Eton is very good. Everything was very nice although the breakfast could have been better

Breakfast could have been better. Not a lot of choice for cereals and the pastries soon went so you had to get there early. The cooked breakfast was not a good standard
