About
Hotel Riviera Venezia Lido is housed in a historic palace and features a panoramic, strategic location in front of the lagoon and the waterbus stop, within quick reach of Venice’s historic center. From the waterbus stop located just outside the hotel you can reach St. Mark’s Square, in Venice, in about 10 minutes. The waterbus stop offers regular service to Marco Polo Airport, Piazzale Roma Bus Terminal and Venezia Santa Lucia Railway Station as well. Lido is more affordable and tranquil than Venice - and yet very close to it. The seaside resort has also attractions of its own, including the beach (the hotel can arrange sun beds and umbrellas on request) and the Venice Film Festival. The hotel offers charming views of the lagoon and unforgettable sunsets. Guest rooms are clean, comfortable and fitted with all conveniences.

- When I booked the room, I booked a single. Beside the option for a single room there were photos of this room. Wooden floors, a window on the lagoon and a single bed. What I got was a wall to wall carpeted room (which for a super-allergic person like me is a nightmare), a double bed and a window that opened to a dark inner Cortile (Well the window wouldn't even open and it looked so awful that it had shutters to hide the horrendous sight),When the next morning seeing that a whole group of Americans were leaving after breakfast, I asked for my room to be changed, the receptionist smirked at me and said that first of all, they don't have single rooms with windows opening to the lagoon, and secondly they could not have photos of every room so the photos never reflect the reality. He also said the hotel was fully booked, but a huge group was leaving and piles of suitcase were at the door so they could easily have moved me before a new group arrived. For the next 5 days that I had already paid in advance, I passed every morning in front of rooms that were being cleaned and aired which looked exactly like the one I had seen but had not been allocated to me.So ... apparently their best room goes to groups but if you are booking separately you are given the dingy ones whose photos you will not see on the site !!!!

Location was very convenient to the Beach and the Casino. Communicating with host was very easy and helpful.
No wifi/service was not available
We enjoyed getting off of the boat and seeing your hotel rightj across the street.
The historic nature is positive, but the ammenities are dated.
The single room and the hotel was more than I expected from booking! I had a great experience staying there, all necessary facilities were in the room, bedsheets and towels soft and clean - was changed everyday. There was a comfortable make up table with the big mirror, tv, a sofa, convenient wardrobe, safe and additional blankets. And the view of the room is SEA ??Overall the hotel’s interiors are very beautiful truly Venetian style, and of course the location is toooop! It’s just in front of the station, so it’s easy to take a boat to Venice, besides lots of nice restaurants and bars on the street, and ofc the is that it’s 10 mins walk from beautiful and fully equipped beaches of Lido.Stuff was always nice and helpful. There is also good restaurant on 1st floor to have a breakfast with beautiful sea view.
I liked all, but it was a little noisy at night until 2 am from bars. For me was no problem, but maybe for others can cause inconvenience ??♀️
Perfect location. The breakfast was good. The room was clean fine but could use an update.
The gentleman at reception in the afternoon/evening is unfriendly and doesn't seem to enjoy his job. He could learn a lot from the friendly and courteous gentleman who is at the reception in the mornings.
Well positioned opposite the water bus and near restaurants.
The room was basic, the decor not authentically venetian, just very dated. There were only 2 pillows on the bed, so we asked for extra and were handed 2 pillows without cases to take to our room ourselves. No porter service for luggage either. Unusual for a hotel not to have a quilt on the bed but instead had one sheet, one thin blanket and a thin throw which was very cold. The website advertised a full mini bar but it was completely empty and there were no tea, coffee or bottles of water. The shower although large didn't have anwhere to stand toiletries. The breakfast was a very basic self service which we had on the first day but didn't bother again and I wish I hadn't paid for in advance. The website advertises an airport shuttle but this doesn't exist so we had to find our own way to the airport.
We had an ant infestation,The walls were so thin you could hear the people in the next room going to the toilet!!Or if people in the above rooms used the shower you could hear them water ? The glass chandelier in the ceiling would constantly make a noise when people on the floor above walked , no air conditioning as they had to only be used for heating!!
Otimal location! Very confortable room and very clean. With nice breakfeast options too.
The hotel is spotless, the staff are friendly, helpful and professional, the location is about a minute’s walk from the vaporetti stop, and it’s on the area’s main road without being noisy.
Nothing!
Nice location, easy access to the boats and route from Lido to Venice. Nice polite stuff.
Noisy rooms, we changed room to another side of the building, it was a bit less noisy from the street.Dirty walls and dust on the lamps and bed head, old furniture and curtains. Waiters were not polite first day, because we were late to the breakfast (they informed us wrong time of the breakfast during night when we checked in!).Breakfast was 5 days sameWe paid 1035 euros for 6 nights
Very nice hotel, very convenient for the vaporetto, being directly opposite the stop. Interactions with staff were positive. Good breakfast buffet.
The room was overheated, although I was able to reduce the temperature by turning off the heated towel rack. It wasn’t intuitive how to use the heating/air conditioning. My room looked out onto the street with two bars playing loud music until around 2am. I slept poorly during my stay.
Location right on the front of the Lagoon watching ferries come and go. So obviously a great place for ferries to Venice or the islands.Room was clean and comfortable and a good size.Breakfast had limited choice but good quality.
The hotel is located directly across from the ferries to take you to other areas and islands of Venice.I found that extremely convenient for getting around Venice. I was traveling alone and felt safe in the area even at night. I had a single room with a balcony overlooking a picturesque view of the charming area below. Although I waa in an active main area of Venice, there was minimal automobile traffic. It was easy to take my car on the ferry from the mainland but with the water taxi system, a vehicle was not necessary. The hotel had a secure and gated parking lot that could be reserved for a minimal fee which was a block from the hotel.
Location with old fashioned hotel with an Italian style
Came back from evening and room was damp. Bedding and pillows and Clothes all got damp. Shower room very small, very shabby. Needs refurbishment.
The hotel was beautiful and clean - we were given prosecco vouchers upon arrival! The room was a good size, overlooking half of the canal. The room was clean and tidy
Bed - this was two single beds pushed together, which made the bed slightly uncomfortable Prosecco vouchers - could potentially be substituted for juice instead of prosecco for those who don't drink.
Location was great. Breakfast excellent.
First night room 218 had an air shaft and no view. Complained and for 40 euros more got a nice room but the mattress in 215 is ancient and had a mountain in the middle and two valleys. It was ridiculous. Management said no one ever complained. I hope they replace the mattress … it was a big disappointment for an expensive room. They made no effort to refund a portiion of the payment.
Location is perfect. Vaporetto bus stops are less then 1 minute walk. Rooms are clean with good city view. Receptionists are very friendly and ready to help you anytime.
AC was broken and doing extremely horrible noise. We had to turn it off, or you are not able to stay here at all because of the noise it makes. Also AC works only on "Cold" mode, "heating" mode was not available. Breakfast could be better... but it's not that bad, you still can choose something to eat
Location was convenient to transportation and town center. Spacious and clean bathroom/shower.
I booked a single room so it was really tiny. It was adequate but good thing I didn’t have both of my bags with me.? I suspect the larger rooms are quite a bit more luxurious.
