About

Set on the island of Lido, the Viktoria Palace offers a quiet location, 0.6 mi from Venice's most famous beaches. The Vaporetto Stop to St. Mark's Square is a 20-minute walk or a 5-minute bus ride away. All air-conditioned rooms at Viktoria Palace Hotel come with satellite TV and a mini-bar. Some rooms have classic Venetian style furnishings and parquet floors. Wi-Fi is available throughout. Breakfast is a simple buffet with cold meats, cheeses and pastries. It can be enjoyed on the hotel terrace with views of the Venetian Lagoon and surrounding islands. Venice's historic center is a 10-minute Vaporetto ride from Lido Island, which is famous for hosting the annual Venice Film Festival. Car ferries connecting the island to the mainland leave from Lido San Nicolò, 1640 feet from the hotel. Guests can rent bikes and on-site parking is free.

    Pros +

    • We were very happy with our stay at the Viktoria Palace Hotel. The room was great, the garden and the pool as well although it was still a little too cold to use it (end of May), anyway it was a very nice area. If you want to visit Venice, I recommend staying at the Lido - so you can have the best of both worlds: more of a countryside feeling but close enough to culture/shopping as the connection St Mark´s Square is very good and there are vaporetti even during night time (every 30 minutes).
    • Incredible staff!!! EVERYONE so very pleasant and polite and ready to help with anything! They truly go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need! Beautiful room and linens. Super clean and comfortable!
    • The loveliest breakfast I've had at a hotel ever! Amazing spread, options for gluten-free dietary needs, and staff were so kind. Thank you for your attention to detail!

    Cons -

    • The toilette had stains and the shower floor was dirty. I checked out the next day. I told them why. They did not offer a refund for the 2nd day I was not staying. I just left to waste no more time and enjoy Venice. I booked a chain hotel. Bid difference!

The rooms and property were very clean, the breakfast had many options, the pool was lovely, the staff were friendly and helpful.

There were a lots of wasps by the pool and the hotel is pretty far from amenities.

The TV didn't work. The shelf in the bathroom over the sink was loose. Everything falls off of it.

    Good breakfast, clean room

It was too hot! Airco did not work, only heating system. Opened the windows and it was a mosquito fest. Sleep, hunt, sleep, hunt, close windows, 28°C degrees..wake up..open windows, sleep, hunt. Busy nights.

Staff were welcoming and genuinely happy to help in any way. Effortless check in and check out, fantastic breakfast. Room was great with fantastic view from the balcony, very comfortable with roomy bathroom and chairs with desk. 10 min from Lido centre and main vaporetto stop, with a bus stop right outside the hotel (fares covered by the vaporetto pass). 8 min walk from tronchetto stop at S.Nicolo.

The location was very pleasant and there was easy access to the ferry by a short bus ride. It was clean and the staff were friendly. The breakfast was comprehensive and tasty. Happy to recommend the hotel to those who want to be on the waterfront and away from the crowds.

Even though the pool was no longer open at the end of October, the back garden could have been made more presentable with a little bit of effort. It all looked a bit rub down.

A real gem of a place. Beautiful quaint hotel on an island a quick ferry ride from Venice. Lots of green spaces and beaches which provide a lovely rest from the business of Venice. Staff were fabulous. Very helpful with information.

    location

Had a sleepless night. Heating was on all night @24 degrees. Night Staff tried to help but could not resolve issue.

Great location for exploring Venice but quiet and away from the crazy busy city centre.

    6LamberPosted on: 9-29-2024

Most of the team at the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful and the room was perfectly clean.

The bar was only available till 8pm and closed on Sunday.

Quiet hotel with lovely garden -pool area, helpful staff and comfortable room. Delicious breakfast. Easy access to central Lido and Venice.

    Nothing to dislike

Beautiful clean pool, very relaxing. Lovely reception and pool staff.

Double room was dated and but cramped. Our sons had a triple room which was much more spacious.

Hotel is 4 stars and i think the service fully corresponds to the status of the hotel. Personal is kind and ready to help, most appreciated nice women who work during breakfast. The room was nice, designed in lightly 'venetian' style, very clean, beds and pillows comfortable. Me and my friend liked a lot the garden and swimming pool, spectacular territory, specially because we had a room with the exit to the garden.

The air conditioning didn't work properly all the time, that is why we had to ask the receptionist to help to control and fix this for several times.

    7SimiPosted on: 8-6-2024

The location and the room and the fact that it was so clean. The location is great if you are looking for somewhere quiet and the bus stop into the city is right outside and the a 15 min walk to the beach. We also liked the swimming pool

The quality of the breakfast. The baguette was frozen cold inside despite being just baked. The juices tasted like water. The fruit was good. We didn't eat the breakfast despite having paid for it. We didnt like the wasps around the swimming pool and it would have been nice to have a repellent against this
