Pros +
- The room was excellent, I love the balcony. Wish it had a kettle in my room but it does have one in the kitchen. The location is like 8 mins from the Grand Canal which was great for me. Wished I had stayed longer.
- the beds were so lovely, the location is amazing
- It was ok for one night. The room was modern with all the facilities.
Cons -
- The room was very shabby. It didn't look like the picture. All walls were scratched up and full of stains. There was mold underneath the window and in one room corner. The breakfast was more than simple. This is not a 2 star hotel and not worth the price.
- the wifi was very poor in our room.
- The room's door opened if forced so it didn't close properly and the key card didn't work. Hot water only worked for 5 minutes. The location didn't feel safe because the main gate was always left open.

I stayed at Hotel La Pergola di Venezia while traveling solo, and it was the perfect choice. Located on the quiet, charming island of Lido, the hotel offers a peaceful atmosphere just a short vaporetto ride from the heart of Venice. It’s close to both the beach and the boat stop—making it easy to explore during the day and return to a calm, relaxing setting at night. The room was clean, comfortable, and ideal for a solo traveler. I especially appreciated the rooftop terrace and the garden area, which offered a quiet space to unwind after sightseeing.Edoardo, the owner, made check-in seamless and was genuinely welcoming. He took the time to make sure I had everything I needed and offered great tips on where to eat and how to get around—something I really appreciated traveling on my own.If you’re visiting Venice and looking for a safe, quiet, and friendly place to stay outside the tourist crowds, I highly recommend Hotel La Pergola di Venezia. I would definitely stay here again.
I would like to thank the hotel for the warm welcome. I was pleasantly surprised by the neatness and comfort of the room — everything necessary was provided. Although the hotel does not offer breakfast, there is a designated area where you can enjoy a coffee or have a snack you bring yourself.I'm glad I chose to stay on Lido Island — evening walks along the coast with the opportunity to swim are a perfect option for a family holiday and a wonderful way to escape the hustle and bustle of the city after a day of sightseeing. There is also a small playground for children on the beach.A special thanks to the owner/manager for the warm hospitality.
This hotel is absolutely wonderful! The room was very cozy and comfortable. The location is perfect: just a short walk to the sea and the city center, but at the same time it's in a very quiet and peaceful area. The owner was incredibly helpful and kind, always ready to assist with anything we needed. We would love to come back here again with great pleasure!
The accommodation was clean, newly renovated! The room was comfortable and beautiful. Pleasant location from the beach and the ferry, quiet street. The host was helpful.
There was not much service, no breakfast, but I understood it was because of the renovation. I would have liked at least a coffee machine or kettle in the room. Soundproofing was not very good.
Everything was great: clean, comfortable, new, great price. So helpful and friendly staff! Definitely would like to stay here again. Only thing I’ve been missing is coffeemaker or kettle.
location was great, amazing place. the building was great and the room was cozy and very clean. host was friendly. everything was great
The bed was cozy and clean
The staff was not very friendly, the location was terrible to reach the main land you have spend 9.5 euro each trip and the toilet flush doesn't work properly
We enjoyed the location- it was conveniently close to Venice, but away from the crowds.
The bed was very uncomfortable, some of the lights didn’t work, and the check-in process was not very smooth. We arrived at the property where there was a locked gate to our surprise. We rang the doorbell and no one answered. We attempted to email the property, and they emailed back promptly, saying that a receptionist should be there to open the door for us. After waiting several more minutes, we rang the bell again, and this time the door buzzed open. When we walked in, there was no one to greet us- just our room keys sitting on a piece of paper with our name on it, amongst other guests’ keys. We were able to get into our room ok after that, but the initial impression was an uncomfortable one, and no one would have been able to help us if our room key was taken by the wrong guest.
Very nice room, bed with comfortable mattress. Greta location, short distance to the beach.
Very beautiful placeVery ItalianVery nice peopleVery cool gardenBest location in lido to have fun in the beach and visit Venice.Stay there for one week with my daugthers. We were in heaven :-)
The location is great, very close to both the station and town centre as well as the beach. Being tucked away in a residential area meant that it was very quiet, paired with the quality mattress made for a quality nights sleep. Appreciated softer pillows also being provided. Very clean and spacious toilet and shower cabin
Walls and ceiling are full of mould and it is obvious that the boards at the top were placed over it. The photo on the website could not be further from the room. The hotel only changes towels every three days so we had to dry them in our own room. Couldn’t find anyone in the reception after being given the key and the freezer didn’t work very effectively.
Disappointing
Not suitable for foreign tourists visiting Italy for the first time. Access to the hotel is very difficult and limited. It is not mentioned anywhere that it is located on an island part that has nothing to do with Venice and to get there it is only by ferry, for which we paid 80 euros. If I had known that, I would have rented a hotel in the center of Venice for the same price. The hotel is quite old and uncomfortable. I wouldn't go back there!
The location is amazing, very close to the beach and a nice owner
You could hear people doing EVERYTHING… that was very weird
The Location was good and the owner was friendly
Walls were dirty, things above the windows were falling down, shower screen glass was cracked, mouldy walls in the bathroom and around the shower tray, fridge wasn't as cold as it should be,
Lido is great. I recommend staying in Lido even if you’re visiting Venice. Water bus service takes you into Venice in 10 minutes. The hotel was a nice touch, easy to access, quiet, close to everything.
Was all ok.
Good value for given price. Breakfast corner with coffee and juice machine for free. 5 min. walk supermarket opening from. 8:00. Friendly staff.
