Hard to fault this hotel. The location is excellent, few minutes walk from the shops, beach and port via a subway which runs under the main road. Free entry into the casino in the complex. The food was really nice particularly the buffet breakfast

Top Tips
- Book 6-8 weeks ahead for July-August and popular events like Starlite Festival or Feria de San Bernabé to secure your preferred hotel, as properties in hotspot areas such as the Golden Mile and Puerto Banús fill quickly. For major festivals, rates can rise sharply within 48 hours of the event start. Check cancellation policies before booking if your plans may change.
- Travel from Málaga Airport to Marbella by public ALSA bus for €5-€8 (about $5-$9) each way, saving around €65-€82 (about $70-$90) compared to a taxi for the 58 km (36 mi) journey. Buses run hourly from early morning until 23:00—check the latest departure times if arriving late. Children and seniors may qualify for discounted fares.
- Andalusia, including Marbella, does not charge a nightly regional tourist bed tax, unlike the Balearic or Catalan regions. No need to budget extra for local taxes when booking hotels here.
- Marbella's Old Town features many small hotels on narrow cobbled streets, and elevators ('ascensor') are uncommon. Confirm step-free or ramp access plus distance to the nearest vehicle drop-off before booking if you have accessibility needs or heavy luggage.
- Hotel parking in central Marbella generally costs €15-€35 (about $16-$38) per day. Public ORA zones offer paid street parking at about €1-€3 per hour. Before booking, verify if your hotel rate includes parking to avoid surprise fees, especially during high season.
- Choose hotels in Nueva Andalucía or San Pedro, located 2-5 km (1.2-3.1 mi) from Puerto Banús, for lower nightly rates and quieter stays. These neighborhoods provide easier parking and less noise compared to the marina, yet remain a short drive from the main nightlife. Ride-hailing and taxi services are available for access to Puerto Banús.
- Decline dynamic currency conversion (DCC) when offered USD or GBP billing at ATMs or merchants to avoid a 2-8% markup. Local banks may charge €1.50-€3.50 (about $2-$4) per ATM withdrawal. Always select payment in euros for best value and use ATMs attached to bank branches for added safety.
- Locals tip modestly: leave 5-10% for good restaurant service, and give €1-€2 (about $1-$2) per day to porters or housekeeping. Check if a service charge ('servicio incluido') is already listed on the bill before tipping.
- Marbella's tap water is safe to drink. Summer daytime highs average 28-35°C (82-95°F) in July-August. Verify that your hotel room includes working air conditioning to ensure comfort during peak heat.
- For reliable remote work, request hotels with verified Wi-Fi speeds or choose 4- or 5-star properties listing 'business center' or 'meeting rooms' as dedicated workspaces. Confirm if workspace use is included with your booking, as some hotels charge extra.
- Select hotels with Green Key or EU Ecolabel certification to support sustainability, especially during the water-stressed months of July-September. Ask about linen and towel reuse programs at check-in to help minimize environmental impact. Check for additional recycling and energy-saving initiatives if important to you.
- Secure your valuables, especially in busy or late-night spots like Puerto Banús marina. Use hotel safes for passports and cards, and consider RFID-blocking sleeves or carrying important items in a front pocket for additional protection. Many top hotel chains offer in-room digital safes with user-set codes.
