Fantastic service and hospitality
The room and the facilities in the room were really nice. Super tiny, but clean and cozy. Even though we stayed on 4th floor with no lift - we really enjoyed nice encouraging phrases printed on the walls that climbing upstairs is healthy, and we do agreed on this point, specially taking into account in the budget price for our stay. However, the real minus for the stay turned into a real quest for us! We booked with breakfast included, time mentioned from 7 to 10am. The breakfast had to be served in a cafe nearby by vouchers taken at a reception, as per instructions given in the messages here. However, we could not find neither a voucher, nor a reception!!! The breakfast cafe is 500m away from a hotel. It took a while to reach, we were in a cafe at 07:10 am and the time is always precious at a beginning of a working day. It would still be fine, if we could get the food. However, the person in a cafe announced they open at 07:30 am and not ready to serve us any breakfast! They also said - no voucher - no breakfast. Ultimately, when I showed them in booking app that the breakfast is paid and the breakfast time is mentioned from 07:00 am - they kindly treated us with croissants and coffee on the condition that we will take them away, as the cafe was still closed. We ended up running to the parking to get I time for the meeting planned.
Check-in was very complicated due to the need for an app and a code that I had not received. Had to help another guest in the same situation the day after. Breakfast was in a busy cafe nearby, very good but takes more time than a traditional hotel breakfast, and is not served early. Hotel neighborhood is very noisy, but hotel did not supply ear plugs. There is no fire escape, only a single wooden staircase. The elevator was permanently closed with a glib message about saving the climate or something, so you must be in shape to climb the very steep stairs and not bring too much luggage.
