Pros +
- The location is great, only a short walk from the bus station. The rooms are spacious.
- Amazing deal for an entire apartment right in downtown. The free parking alone is worth it!
- Was super happy with it for the price!! A whole apartment, with washer/dryer. Staff was very nice and was a very easy checkin.
Cons -
- It is showing some wear.
- Could use a fan in the room- could get hot but didn’t love to leave the ground floor window open
- I felt it could use a good deep clean. It looked like the whole place could use a good wipe down. The beds and bathroom were clean. There were a few issues - there was almost no water pressure in the shower and the pipes were very loud if any water was running. There was also a water leak in one of the bedroom closets- I did let the staff know and they said they would check it out.

It was very spacious and just as pictured. Check in was very simple and the staff were very nice. It’s also in a great location. Just a short walk away from the main strip!

The check-in was a bit confusing but the staff of the hotel were very friendly. It's nice that you have your own apartment with a kitchen and outside access. The location was good.
The apartment was cold and often I was woken up by noises from outside in the morning. Didn't feel like great value for money.
Spacious, modern, new, clean

Great location, nicely appointed, comfortable furniture. Staff at Western Hotel (for check-in/check-out) were friendly.
The one thing that would have been better is if there were a dishwasher, but not a big deal at all
Location, nicely furnished apartment. Great staff.
Liked it all
The location was excellent. The apartment was very clean and comfortable and we were at the point in our holiday that we definitely needed to do laundry so it was great to have a washing machine which looked brand new and very clean.
There's no dryer and not even a drying rack which is a pretty basic necessity. I tried to buy some string to hang clothes on (which I couldn't find) so I purchased a plastic a drying rack which hardly held any laundry so we had clothes hanging all over the apartment that we had to strategically place near the registers and rotate them so the clothes would dry in time for our travel the next day. It was a big time waster that made it so we missed a good chunk of the sunny day of sightseeing that could have easily been solved with a drying rack. A small thing could have made our stay way better.
Great location and nice to be operated by the adjoining Western Hotel, which means checking in and out of breeze. Adequate kitchen for cooking.
No warmth to the room at all. Tile floors, yellow walls were very cold and sterile, especially in the bedrooms. It wouldn’t take much much to make it feel a little more comfortable. Also, it baffles me why properties will place a dining table and chairs in between the couch and television.
Amazing location for access to the heart of the coty
Missing some small things like place to hang up towels to dry or over head lighting.
The staff of the Western Hotel was helpful and accommodating. The location was close to the center of town, restaurants, shops and sights. Breakfast was good and the bar area was comfortable.
The St. Bridget's apartments are managed by the Western Hotel. The first apartment we were given ( #12 ) was in a poorly kept building through an unlit courtyard. The remainder of the apartments were privately occupied. It was an uncomfortable and we felt unsafe situation. The manager was able to move us to a room in the hotel for the first night and then to a different apartment in a different building adjacent to the hotel. It was clean comfortable and convenient to the hotel for breakfast. It was however noisy due to being near to the loading area for the restaurant. If I were to be in Galway again I would stay at the Western Hotel but not in one of the apartments.
The location is good as far as being walkable to Local attractions as far as shopping and pubs, etc., the apartment was comfortable for the four of us who stayed there. It was clean.
Being from America, it took a bit of time and some calls to the front desk to figure some things out as far as how to turn the shower on and how to turn the stove on, and the washing machine worked, but it was advertised as being a dual machine that it would automatically dry after the wash cycle, but that did not happen so we were left with wet clothes. I would suggest maybe having a set of instructions on how to use certain appliances and the shower would be helpful.
The location was perfect.Quiet surroundingsHaving access to washer/dreyer
We had difficulty twice with TV/Cable needing team member to come in. Gabriel was very helpful and prompt.Had to look up on YouTube how to run washer/dryer.So written instructions or a QR code would have been helpful
Easy walk to many restaurants, pubs and coffee shops.
Stairs
The apartment was very clean and the accommodation was comfortable. Having the small kitchen would be great for a longer stay. I was just there for one evening. Easy walking distance to the bus and train station as well as the main tourist areas.
The apartments are around the block from the check in, which is a pain if you don't have a vehicle. Many of the units require a lot of stairs to access them, so keep that in mind if you are traveling with luggage. The neighbors were quite loud late into the night and there was a bright light outside the bedroom window which the shade did a marginal job blocking out.
I like having the amenities of a stay place
The check in was very confusing…. I had to ask more than one time to get a street address … the map that was provided with the 3 request about an address had a photos with a Blue building when in fact the building was Grey….The property has Keg storage under it and in A very loud manner the collection began at 4:30 AM
location was great. the reception staff were amazing. place was clean and comfortable
the fear of the car getting the boot when dropping off or picking up luggage. no parking.
Very large central modern and clean
We were unaware that we would be in a different location than the “hotel”… very vague… parking was not adequately spelled out…had to walk down fairly steep hill with our bags
The location was just outside of Eyre Square and directly across from the coach station which is very convenient if you arrive to Galway on the Citilink bus. All of our tours left from less than 1km away. Shop Street was about a 5 minute walk. There were several small cafes for breakfast nearby. The set up is good for multiple travelers and would be comfortable for up to 4. The property was spotlessly clean, which is the most important thing in a stay. It seemed recently renovated and had attractive, stylish furnishings.
It's a short distance to the hotel to check in, but uphill - so prepare to drag your luggage up and down to check in and check out. There was no guide to the property/nearby area, and no manuals on using the appliances. I washed a load of laundry in what was supposed to be a washer/dryer and it came out sopping wet - I called reception who said I 'must have put too much in and now I'd need to go to a laundromat.' I tried rewashing just two items in it, and they still came out wet - so overloading wasn't the problem - I had to travel to my next location with a bag of wet clothes. The beds were very hard and had no mattress pad, I could feel the buttons on the mattress. The pillows were also flat and needed refreshing. The shower had almost no water pressure. There were very few creature comforts - no kleenex, no ability to adjust the temp that we could find, no standing fans of any kind. We couldn't keep the windows open as they were street level with no screens. No luggage racks. I wouldn't be so hard on the listing except for the price - I paid less for much nicer accommodations throughout my stay and would recommend the property lower the listing price.
