    • Clean. Breakfast was good. They set up events to socialize with other travelers. Had a terrific time!
    • Reasonable price, good location, good staff, reasonable breakfast. I love that even after check out, you can drop your luggage safely until you claim it. Toilets were okay
    • Close to center and fun vibe

    Cons -

    • Felt bad/dizzy when entering the room - smells like wet carpet/sofa which did not dry properly. Cleanliness and smell of room and toilets should be improved
    • Shower could have been cleaner
    • The mattress was hard, and uncomfortable. I couldn't get comfortable for most of the night.

The place is extremely clean, has nice toiletries, recently refitted shower rooms, carpet, etc. and is super close to the centre of town, but still quiet.

The mattress was hard, and uncomfortable. I couldn't get comfortable for most of the night.

Great location close to train station.

Very crowded in the rooms, little space between beds and for lockers underneath. All 9 fridges they had were full of old, expired, open food, they looked like they hadn't been cleaned in weeks. It was disgusting.

This is definitely one of the best hostels ever in the entire world. No joke! Everything at this hostel is perfect! I stayed at this hostel and everyone was extremely friendly and provided space for me. This was a no judgement zone and I had some exceptional good vibes with this location. I am an introverted solo traveler myself and I find this place to be a perfect fit for couples and introverted travelers. This accommdation had everything and including an ATM machine and vending machine. The beds were spacy and nice. However, I didn't get to meet any of my roommates at all which is extremely rare for a hostel stay, ironically staying there for 2 nights in total!

    Nothing!

Great staff and facilities. When we had (multiple) issues they handled it.

Be warned. The people going here are nothing like the staff. Drunken into excess. I forgot what children can be like. Especially the men. Vomit in the sink. I feel like a staff member should have seen that before me. And the all the toilets were clogged because of the same men

I really enjoyed my stay here, especially because of the location. It’s very convenient and easy to get around. On my first night, I was quite uncomfortable because my dorm mates were snoring. That’s obviously not the fault of the hostel and is part of booking a dormitory. I mentioned this to Ashley, and she was very helpful and arranged for me to be prepared and transferred to another room, which I really appreciated. Before I checked out, Jasmine also took the time to explain different travel routes since it was my first time going to Craughwell. The staff were genuinely kind and supportive, and that made a big difference to my stay.

Honestly, there wasn’t much to dislike. If I had to mention something, the bed was a bit stiff, but it was only a minor thing and still comfortable enough to get a good night’s sleep. Overall, everything was good.

    Air fryers in the kitchen.

I was told that the kitchen was closed when I went to get some water and there is no toasters for bread.

Great location. Breakfast was tasty (loved the porridge), staff was helpful and it was a great stop in Galway.

Beds were pretty firm but fine for a few nights.

Location was great! Breakfast included. Fridges. Kitchen for cooking. Happy atmosphere

    Everything was good

The amenities are spot on. The free breakfast is such a nice touch and the shared kitchen is well equipped.

The beds are quite hard to sleep on. Pillows are quite thin too.

The free towel rental and included breakfast were a breath of fresh air!! The staff were lovely, particularly Valeria at the reception desk. The room was quite clean, and the location couldn't have been better! I appreciated that they partially validate parking a the Hynes Yard Q-Park. It brought the cost of overnight parking down significantly.

I'm 69. Never stayed in a hostel before. Loved it.Was going to an early hospital appointment. Great consideration. Well done staff!

The location was amazing and the staff members were super helpful and kind. Neasa gave the best recommendations and answered all of my questions. Roberto was really kind too.

The staff was incredible! We were immediately welcomed and given so many fun options of things to do in the area and there were TONS of resources available to us. We also participated in a Pub Crawl run by the hostel which was great fun!

Truly my only complaint were the bathrooms/showers. I did not feel comfortable using them.

    10seowweiPosted on: 10-17-2025

It was a perfect stay! Clean, comfortable, perfect location and perfect staff. Also, there is free breakfast everyday!

    10ToriPosted on: 10-13-2025

Loved the staff. They helped book tours and gave wonderful recommendations. They were super friendly. The breakfast was nice, with free coffee. Lots of people hanging out in the common areas

The shared bathrooms are on the lobby floor, meaning you have to walk through the madness of the breakfast to get ready in the morning. Plus, the girls bathroom reeked; we stayed for 3 days and it was an everyday problem.

Breakfast was great, staff awesome, location perfect. Spacious room and felt secure.

Would have been nice to have a form of protein for breakfast or the ability to access the kitchen and boil some of my own eggs during that time. Bathroom was super far down the hall. A bit of a trek to get to.
