Student Hostel

I loved the spacious room, full size kitchen, bathroom and showers on each floor, two nice common areas, friendly and helpful staff.

I wish it was in downtown Reykjavík.

Great location! Good size room.

The cleaning could be improved. Ladies showers were dirty and full of mold and mildew. The drain was blocked so the water would not drain. Kitchen was very grimy and the room dusty.Make sure to bring ear plugs as it is so noisy with people in and out all hours. It is advertised that they will keep your luggage after check out but it doesn’t sound safe as they recommended use of paid lockers.

I stayed here before and after my hike of the Laugavegur Trail. Only a short 15-minute walk on a paved walkway from the main bus station. Perfect for catching the bus to trail and the airport. Reception staff were available and helpful. They stored my luggage until check-in time. Clean basic room, comfortable bed. The shared kitchen made it easy to make coffee and have breakfast before heading out. I rented a locker on-site where I stored a bag while hiking the Laugavegur Trail. While cheaper options may be available at the car parks, I returned late and was glad I didn't have to walk further. The student bar was open late and offered cheaper options than dining out. I'm very glad I stayed here!

Very clean space, well equipped kitchen, and great location. Free parking very close by. I would recommend staying here.

The hotel is located next to the University campus. It is around 15-20 mins away from the center of Reykjavik. We rented a car, so the free gravel parking lot next to the hotel was a big bonus.The room is quite small and not very decorated but clean and comfortable. We had access to the shared kitchen which was nice for storing our groceries in the fridge and making sandwiches for our hikes.

The room has 2 twin beds opposite of each other. There is enough space to put them together to create a "double bed", which would be a nicer option for couples.It would be nice to have some soap in the bathroom.

The property was located close to both BSI bus station and to the city center/downtown area. The city is extremely walkable, although hilly, so we found this to be a perfect location to meet our needs. The staff was responsive and communicative and went out of their way to be helpful. For instance, my friend and I both forgot charger adapters and were able to borrow one from the front desk. The facilities are nicely appointed and clean. It was a great value as we were able to have a two bed room for the night with a private bathroom, compared to many of the pricier places to stay.

Everything! My room was so clean and the beds and linens top notch. The common room was beautiful and inviting, the laundry room free, the staff exceptional.

Great location walking to city center and the BSI terminal. It’s very convinrent for traveling to and from the airport and the bus tours because you can easily walk to the bus station at BSI

great location. it’s around 10 min walk to the city centre. there is free parking next to the building.

I stayed here my first night and my last night in Iceland. The first night was fine. The last night was terrible. The room was dirty like someone had forgot to sweep the floor. The bathroom smelled like sewage. Worst of all I’m pretty sure I got bedbugs from here.

Had everything I needed for a one-night stay. Flexible check-in for anyone coming in on a late flight (after midnight) from Keflavik.

Easy walk to everything.

Needed a fan in the room for airflow. We stayed on the lowest floor, our room had one small window; it was a little stuffy.

Friendly reception, well organized, fully equipped kitchen, clean bathroom. Large, welcoming communal space. Guests were quiet and respectful of others. No pelarty crowds. Short walk to the city center and 15 mins to BSI.

The windows were difficult to open and close

Great value, great location, free parking. Let us check in at noon instead of waiting until 3:00!
