The paintings in the reception and bar area were stunning
The room was really dated - we only got a standard room but it was actually really poor. There were stains on the floor, cracks in the wall, broken painting, chipped paint around window and poor facilities. Really disappointing.
Staff was very friendly and helpful Happy Hour Free parking Good breakfast, though it was not included in our rate Noon checkout
Fantastic location, very nice staff and excellent service
Parking can be busy, but the fact it has parking is a great perk
Hotel was fancy, really liked the bar area and tea/ coffee area
Elevator was a bit scary
Absolutely everything. Our room was not very large, but perfect for the two of us.The common rooms downstairs were exquisite. Old world , charming and elegant, full of Persian rugs and paintings. The front desk stuff was polite and very helpful. We enjoyed
Would have appreciated some hand and body lotion. No deal breaker.
The hotel was very unique to the area with many original pieces of art throughout. It gave a very one-of-a-kind experience. On site parking was also very important for our trip.
The bathroom in the hotel room was pretty outdated, but everything functioned well.
Charming. Great art collection. Helpful staff. Good location.
Bar and restaurant not open late.
Staff were friendly, caring, warm, and professional. Lovely free breakfast and very quiet location.
Hotel Staff Great restaurant and breakfast selection Bathroom was nice
Wish they had more satellite TV channels available
Location amazing. Super close to downtown Reyjkavik and easy to walk to everything. Very safe.Parking in lot across street free and easy.Rooms were not exciting, but also totally adequate, clean, and safe.
Breakfast was expensive and could have been better.
The lobby, bar, seating/library was beautiful. The breakfast was 10/10 so good!
I feel the property has work to do to be considered 4 star. I felt like I was a bother asking for a hot cup of coffee after my room was pretty chilly(finding an open window at the top of the door that no one would know would even open- that should be checked after each guest leaves and a new one comes). I was trying to warm up before my late night tour and the guy was not kind and I did not get a cup of coffee or never even was told that we couldn’t make a hot cup of coffee. The lock to the back balcony from my room is loose and it should be stated that the balcony is shared by others. As a solo traveler, I did not love that my neighbors could just walk right by my room so I had to keep all my blinds shut all the time.My phone didn’t work and I wasn’t even asked at all how my stay had been or was even when checked out.
Great location.
Small room. No mini fridge. The elevator would only take one person at a time.
location, breakfast, atmosphere in the hotel
no training room, no restaurant.
Great location and very friendly and helpful staff.
Room was very small but met our needs.
Staff were exceptional. Josephine at the bar was so friendly and helpful
Room was small and stayed too warm
You cannot beat this location. Close to the heart of Reykjavik but just outside it enough to be quiet for a good night sleep! The staff were all so friendly and helpful and the beds were the most comfortable I slept on my entire two week trip. The rooms are small, but you aren't living there anyway. Go outside!
Parking was a bit rough when they had an event going on at the hotel. However, the nice receptionist even came outside to help me fit into the very last spot.
Quiet location but easy walk to city center.
Restaurant was closed Sunday and Monday.
