Hotel Lotus

I had the most wonderful stay. I felt very wolcomed, the room was beautiful, staff amazing. I would definitely go back.

The staff are friendly, we forgot bring our power adapter, the front desk lended it to us. The breakfast is excellent, the staff filled the hot water into our bottles to bring with us. The room is clean, everything is nice. I am happy staying there.

Nice clean modern hotel. Hotel offered a beautiful breakfast in the morning. Also I appreciated the parking.

Hotel Lotus was very clean with an extremely helpful staff, wonderful breakfast, free parking, easy access.

The location was a little further out from the city centre shopping than I would have liked but I did have a car.

We stayed two nights at the Hotel Lotus and had a great experience. The self check-in is very easy to follow. The room was very clean, comfortable and warm with a large shower with really strong water pressure. The bedding was comfortable. The hotel is in a quiet area with free parking and easy distance to downtown Reykjavik.

It would be nice to have a portable fan or some way to move the air in the room. It was very still and the air temperature was a touch warmer than we would normally sleep in.

Everything was great but small room good for me but a larger person would probably be uncomfortable

A little pricey, small bathroom (if you’re a larger person it’d be difficult to move around in it as it was very narrow), slightly out of the way (hard to walk to places from there).

The breakfast was excellent - all very fresh, beautifully presented, loved the European/Icelandic food. Americans that complain about the lack of hot eggs and sausages need to get a grip. Lean in to this lovely way of eating! The breakfast room was lovely and exceptionally well presented. Coffee terrific, Staff were on top of things, and very kind when I screwed up my coffee order and overflowed the cup! The bed was probably the most comfortable I have encountered in travel. We stayed in the Jr Suite and it was just wonderful, and I appreciated the balcony access for a bit of fresh air. I also fell in love with the small detail of having the long handled shoe horn... now I want one for my home. The staff very kindly did a small load of laundry (not the normal service offered) and it was a real help. Parking was free and safe, even for our oversized campervan. The artwork (specifically the horse in the stairwell) was inspiring. The staff member that greeted us did a great job of explaining entry/exits, locks, local sites, and her recommendation for an evening meal was spot on. Oh yes, someone previously commented there should be coffee in the room. This room was equipped with one and it was perfect. I also appreciated the little personal fridge. So many places are eliminating them, and for us it was necessary. My deepest regards to this hotel. Simply awesome.

The handmade cups in the breakfast room were awesome and I wanted to buy a couple, but none on site for sale. That's the only thing I can provide in the way of constructive feedback. I will also comment that prior reviews that complained about the sliding (pocket) door in the bathroom are crazy. I thought it was excellent!

The room and bathroom were spacious, clean, and very modern. The breakfast was delicious and had a good variety of food. This room had a balcony that you accessed through the shower, very unique.

The room was a bit warm but cooled off when we opened the window and balcony door.

This is the smallest room I have ever stayed in my life. I know small rooms are a thing in Iceland but this one reached a new level. Our room is NOTHING LIKE THE PICTURE that I booked for. So tiny that I can’t even open a suitcase flat, in fact no where to put a suitcase down. I had to put in between bed and the wall. Then I can’t even walk. It’s awful. I will never book here or recommend this hotel to anyone.

There was a lot of noise in the back and I guess somebody had left open the top window which was very hard to reach for me to close it.
