Pros +
- The building was unique and in the center of town. The breakfast was great and changed each day, lunch meat to take on tours, fresh bread from great bakery, clean bathroom, friendly lobby service. Would definitely go back!
- Location was great
- We weren't sure we were getting a hotel, apartment or short-term rental and I feel like we ended up with the best of all three. Great communication in advance and on-site. We had six plus an infant and ended up with a 2BR/2BA as well as a twin studio. Ample room - particularly compared to short-term rental alternatives. Infant was put off by the constant light but there was enough room to set up her travel crib in one of the bathrooms. Great location with many food options nearby. Quiet and safe (but that is mostly the case for Reykjavik).
Cons -
- nothing, it was great!
- Located across street from 2 nightclub so excessive noise. Difficulty with sleeping 3 out of 5 nights
- We initially thought that having the rooms two blocks apart would get annoying. But it was an easy walk and always in the light of day. I also thought that dealing with a rotating group of front desk personnel would get confusing - but they were great and each person had the authority to make decisions or book our airport bus and whatever else we were looking to do. So there was nothing that we didn't like!

We loved the breakfast delivered to the room with fresh bread. The coffee in the room was fabulous. The free laundry facility was great.
No view. There were few dishes, but we realized after a couple of days they were in the dishwasher but not put away.
location is excellent. The room is very comfortable to accommodate a family. The staffs are friendly and supportive. Like the modern style of the hotel.
Location and quality
Construction next to it, made access difficult and it was noisy during the day
The bathroom was nice and spacious with a nice shower and elegant brand of toiletries. The bed was really comfortable. The location was close to everything and staff responded promptly when I reached out.
There was no view, but they can’t do anything about that!
Loved the location. Walking distance to everything in the city center. Staff was very helpful and communicated with us throughout the process.
The mattress. Not a lot of support or comfort. Didn’t sleep well as a result. Highly recommend the facility investing in a mattress topper or new mattress.
Love Love Love everything from the staff at the desk, housekeepers, room size, cleanliness, location!! We had the best time and will definitely be back to stay there! Thank you all for being so kind and making the visit that must better!!!! We used bus stop #6 for tour pick ups! Was a 5 min walk- Super close!!! We are a family of 4 so I was worried about the pull out couch bed for the kids but it was so comfortable- both beds had great pillows and blankets which for us is super important!! Cant say enough about how great this place is!!
Lights in the room are dark...need brighter lights
Good size for a family. Excellent location in town, making city sights walkable. Appreciated the kitchenette and loved the option of breakfast delivery and fresh bread. It helped to streamline logistics to get us out and about to pur daily destinations.
One of the door readers in the courtyard regularly stuggled to properly connect
Free laundry, free milk & juice, early check in…
Hotel is located in a central location which is convenient to everything. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need to make a meal.
Everything was good but the room was a little too hot at times.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Reykjavik Residence Apartment hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. Check-in was easy as long as the app works and communication was quick there is an intercom/ camera that you can talk to. The location is close to restaurants, the reception can help u call a taxi if you need one, which made getting around simple. We also walked around to see Reykjavik. Good thing is the breakfast it was always ready and fresh especially the bread and yogurt, loved it! happily stay here again and recommend it to others.
That the reception was not in the same building it didn’t affect the overall experience.
Very close to everything only 6 mins walk to Hallgrimskirkja, 3 minutes walk to rainbow street. A few minutes walk to bust stop #6 where you can catch your bus to your tours. I am glad that I also had breakfast included with our booking because it helped us not looking for places to eat for breakfast in the morning. They bring generous goodies for breakfast which we were not able to finish. Staff are friendly.
We had to walk out in an open area near the parking to get to our room .
Exceptional Location and Very nice room. The front desk staff was extremely friendly and they called cab whenever we needed it. They also called cab for us when we were returning to the airport. Excellent room amenities.
The basket and bread delivered was great to snack onloved the location
NOISY- very loud past midnight from downstairs and family with young kids right beyond door may as well been in our apartment
The location was great
The key app did not work so we had to wait for someone to unlock our doors and give us keys. They also did not unload the dishwasher from the guests before us and there was still leftover food in the fridge.
Nice location, walking distance to the city center. Very cozy, app key, very easy access.
A bit small bed
There are multiple buildings. We were in the old embassy and the little apartment was perfect.
Our room was at the front and did experience a little noise from passing cars
Kitchen
Small radiator, located only in the bathroom . We didn’t like that you changed our residence from Newer house , so called “Prime Minister’s” house to the basement apartment in the older property historical. I would suggest you clarify on your website that it’s possible to be housed in the basement when you reserve economist studio.
