ODDSSON Downtown Hotel

The room was very nice and bed was very comfortable. The shower and bathroom were the best part surprisingly.

Although staff were nice, we had great difficulty checking in online with our credit card. Having a place where one can go with a physical credit card easily would alleviate this stress but I understand this may not be possible.

The shop underneath the appartment was very noisy at 7am, doors slamming so not good if you need a lie in

Ok... had a problem getting the door to open on arrival. Frustrated American that I am, I called the service line. Very friendly and helpful.... I just needed to push the door open rather than pull. After I stopped laughing over my stupidity, the remainder of my stay was wonderful.

Minor ding for the kitchenette faucet over the sink being loose and wobbly.... and that's stretching to find fault somewhere

Location was good as I wound up walking more than I thought I would.

No place to put suitcase except the floor; no place to put clothes from suitcase.

The location was perfect for getting to places in downtown Reykjavik. The response from the employees of rhe property was very fast if we had any questions or issues.

The room was a little small and there were no instructions on how to use the oven.

Centrally located to buses, restaurants , public pools, grocery stores and museums.

Everything was great.

We booked the hotel without realizing that there are not any staff on site.. We were sent the wrong hotel room # and entrance pin and had to call to have the alarms stop going off.

Good shower pressure , very clean and the bed was super comfy. Everything was nice and new.

Not quite an easy walking distance to all the downtown sites, but just a quick 5 min drive from it all!

This is the only place we stayed in Iceland that the photos of the rooms are actually real, it is spacious, clean, very stylish interior design. It also has a full kitchen with everything you need (good quality silverware and dinner plates etc.) The best thing is the towel warmer rack, it is amazing! Very good location, close to downtown. Free parking on premises (this is huge) If you rent a car, this hotel is the best place to be.

It’s self-check-in but they made it very easy. In fact we like it better this way. It’s kinda like you are going back home to your apartment. No breakfast on site, also not a big deal, there is a great bakery downstairs. Love everything about this hotel. Highly recommend to people rent a car in Iceland to stay at this beautiful hotel.

Rooms in the front are right by the sidewalk so you hear people walking by, talking, rolling their suitcases and cars driving by 24/7

The bed was comfortable and the location was great. Parking was easily available and marked just for the hotel with easy street parking across from the hotel. The area felt very comfortable and safe. The bakery next door was really tasty!

The bathroom door is a glass pocket door that does not close all the way. Be prepared to be very aware of your traveling companion's bathroom usage.

Bathroom design and the showers are just great, really enjoyed it a lot. Comfy bed and pillows. Also, we loved the huge radiator on the wall that you can turn on and off whenever needed, with the Icelandic climate you start appreciating this a lot. Kitchen facilities were OK, for us it's important to have a tea and coffee maker in the accommodationSelf check-in was a breathe and check-out was as simple as put a sign that you left on the door. Having a cozy bakery on the ground floor with a door right from the hotel was a nice bonus.

The size of the room, to little space for everything. No space at all at the sides of the bed. Very little space to put your staff in, so it was always a mess. The door in the bathroom was actually a glass curtain, not much privacy when going to the toilet which was kinda uncomfortable. Soap dispensers were falling apart when you start pumping.

Comfortable and convenient. Easy walk to the center of the city. Nice bakery attached.

Excellent location for walking the city. Loved on-site parking, comfortable bed, well equipped kitchenette and of course the attached bakery! Will definitely stay here again someday and recommend to all my friends.

Visited in June during midnight sun and the blackout shades still let in quite a bit of light (in the top floor with skylights). Thankfully we brought eye masks. Bathroom door provides limited privacy. Ok with spouse but I can imagine it might make others uncomfortable.

The location was great , easy to walk to many destinations downtown. Facilities were nice except for the bathroom which was very small and provided no privacy. Sliding glass door, can see and hear everything.

The bathroom size and door. Room 103 had a shower door that did not keep water in this covering the rest of the bathroom floor. We stayed in two other rooms there that did not have this problem
