It is in a good location close to the train station, close to a convenient bus stop Travail. Staff was very friendly and room had a comfy bed and big room with kitchenette.

Could have more soap, hand lotion and Kleenex tissue for even more enjoyable stay.

Staffs were so nice, location is just 10 mins walk to old town and christmas market and 10 mins to central station. There is carrefour accross the streets. What a relief to be able to stay here instead of the other booking we had which didnt gave us the access code.A blessing in disguise to be able to stay here.We had a great time walking around the christmas matkets and wnjoy the holiday season? they even have complementary non alcoholic vin chaud in the reception which is a warm welcome !

    One o

I was disappointed by the hygiene of the apartment. Also that the photos are completely different than reality and especially for its price point it is not fair at all. The access hotel location is isolated and scary because it doesnt feel safe to walk on empty roads at night and away from everything unlike other hotels. Also my wife has chronic allergies to dust mite and so once we arrived and saw all this dust (in photos) we immediately and kindly requested a refund after relentlessly traveling and wanted somewhere to rest in hygiene. Unfortunately, we were told ok and was given back the city tax and was told to reach out for refund instead they are now saying they think what is in the photos are acceptable and considered nothing wrong so wont give us a 1 night refund !!Be careful. We ended up going to another hotel nearby and actuallyMuch closer to the downtown called hotel couvent du franciscain both 3 stars and actually cheaper and super super nice. Highly recommend. Super cute and cosy have Christmas decor.

Easy walk to the Christmas markets, and easily accessible from Strasbourg Rail Station. Staff was prompt and efficient on registration and were friendly. Adequate included breakfast.

The booking.com listing is very misleading it features pictures of the main City Residence Hotel at 5 rues des Magasins but when we arrived we were sent to 11 rues des Magasins, their inferior run down property. Dirty windows, torn drapes, old mattresses that prohibit a reasonable sleep, a buckled laminate floor which did not allow the bathroom door to close fully,no housekeeping for day 2 of a 2 day stay. Graffiti carved into elevators. They charge 150 euros per night for a substandard property that probably hasn't seen 1 euro spent in maintenance in ten years. Beware of booking here.

I enjoyed my stay at this apartment. It’s definitely a little on the older side, but honestly, it was still pretty comfortable and had everything I needed. What really made the difference was the reception staff, they were always available and quick to help with anything I asked for. Because of that, my stay ended up being really pleasant. Overall, it’s a good spot if you don’t mind a place with a bit of vintage charm.

Good location, friendly helpfull staff, pretty cheap.

    Bit outdated interior

the staff were wonderful and helpful. the woman in the breakfast area was great, too.

I stayed 9 days and I need my sheets cleaned more than once. I was sweating in the sheets and pillowcases each morning. It was summer. I had to remove them and air them out, each day!

    Location is great

The room's furniture was quite old and the smell wasn't great both inside the room and in the hotel

    8Juan I.Posted on: 9-21-2025

Very close to the train station so it makes a good base for day trips to Colmar and other places in the region. About 15-20 minutes walk to the historic city center though. Staff was great. The room includes a kitchen, microwave, cooler and an electric kettle.

There was a bit of paint that seemed to have peeled off (water damage?) over the sink, behind the faucet (did not affect functionality). Other than that everything seemed well maintained. The bathroom size is fine, but the shower area/enclosure is very small.

Internet is very very bad , slow and a lot of time not work on the room this is big problem

    10VivianPosted on: 8-25-2025

Comfortable bed and friendly staff! The location was great. Just a 10 min walk from the train station.

    8Dyn-LwcusPosted on: 8-16-2025

We liked that it was walking distance from the train station and the old town. The breakfasts were good but...

...the dining tables were too close together making access disruptive to other diners. In

    6WilliamPosted on: 8-15-2025

The room was surprisingly big and the bed was comfortable. Having access to a kitchenette was helpful. Staff was good.

Pretty outdated property. Some issues with the fire alarm. Not the cleanest place I’ve stayed. It’s a 2 star hotel, so arrive with 2 star expectations.

    4MaikoPosted on: 8-8-2025

It was clean and location was good.

We stayed in the 1st floor and it was very loud.Even though the room was cleaned it’s because it’s very old building, there was smell.
