ibis Styles Marseille Palais des Congres Velodrome

Better than I expected and within easy walking distance of the velodrome, which was the reason I booked it. There is great ambiance, bright decor, the staff was really nice, it was a very comfortable stay.

Clean room. Great location for match at Velodromr. Excellent breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Safe parking. Great value.

There was construction upstairs in the morning started from 8am. The cleaning staff came in without asking or knocking.

Reception area had been newly refurbished Quiet area, could open the window but it would still be quiet at night

The bedrooms were plain and characterless. No kettle, coffee making facilities. Air con wasn’t on. The hotel calls itself Kyriad palais de congress, but it’s a 20 min walk to the congress.

Great staff. Comfortable common areas.

Rooms were extremely small. Common areas used air freshener/ionizers which affected my breathing.

Friendly staff, easy check in and out, and parking underground and secure. Free cold bottled water and a comfortable reception area with a big TV with sports on, which my partner enjoyed.Clean and presentable. Got what we paid for regards our room. Breakfast okay, and refreshed plenty of times so doesn’t run out.

Location isn’t the best as it’s on a main road but you’d know that on booking. It’s 45 mins walk to city centre or beaches (if you get a bike or a scooter that makes it 10 mins so no issue).The bedroom aircon wouldn’t go under 21 degrees and we were both BOILING all night every night.

NOTHING, ABSOLUTELY THE WORST STAY THAT I HAVE EVER STAYED!!!

First when we arrived we had to already payed for our stay. That was the first time in my life with that concept that in a hotel you pay the first that when you check in. The garage for the most part didn’t work, and we couldn’t got out for approximately 20-40 min. The woman at the reception blamed us and the other hotel guests that also tried to get out (btw we all have the same password for garage and she maked us feel like idiots!). The room was not clean at all (floor and lining - terrible). And here is the best part…when we arrived back in the home country I noticed changes in my bank account. When I opened it, it was 100 euros taken from my back account from the hotel!!! (We payed everything at the 1st day if you remember). When I tried to contact them via booking massage, they haven’t responded yet (it was already a week from our trip). So I have reached to booking service, hope they will figure something out, otherwise I will have to go through different path. WILL NEVER RESERVE AGAIN!!!

Close to public transportation. You had two ways to get there.€3.00 from the centre of everything including morning markets where you could get plenty of cheap stuff as tokens.Communication with staff (can't recall me of the gentleman who checked is in during late shift) was excellent despite the language barrier. I was able to access what I felt would help us enjoy.the.stay better.Dinner was tasty and reasonably priced. We learnt new recipes. And bartender/ waiter gets full points for effort and tolerance.Variety of seating arrangements and shared spaces

The bin in front of the hotel. Lack of signage. We found it well with instructions given but a sign would help.€100 not returned immediately affected later travels These did nothing to affecty stay.

If you are with car it is good location to the old port.

The towels were not clean and room was so small. It doesn’t look like as it is shown in the pictures. I don’t recommend.

Decent breakfast.

No where near the city centre. Reception seating area floor was filthy.Lift floor filthy.Bathroom mirror ripped off wall.Curtain don’t fit the window.Shower wouldn’t stay in place unless held it.

Staff was nice and helpful. The hotel was very well situated for its purpose (Olympic games)

There were no gluten free breakfast options. Rooms did not seem to be cleaned during stay
