City Résidence Marseille

The lack of staff causing us to not be able to stay the first night if our stay and having to find alternative accommodation on our own. Also got confusion as booking name wasn't Emma Smith as it had been recorded as Mr Miss Smith.

The hotel charge me ¿70 for guaranteed deposit and ¿12.5 for tax, but no refund of the guaranteed deposit, can you help me to solve it

Good value for money despite some shortcomings.

It smelled like cigarettes in the hallways and in the room. The location felt somewhat unsafe late at night.

Kitchen is very small is good but there cutting board is very small and no have ris cookie.but all is good thank you

The staff was really nice and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable.

Staff were super lovely and it was very simple to get into the room and feel comfortable Bathroom was clean on arrival and room was fresh.

Little bit further from town than expected, we had bicycles and were able to get there from train station.

No Air conditioning, was rather hot when we were there. Fan provided helped but required window open at night. Bit of occasional train noise

The staff was friendly and really helpful. The room was clean and it was easy enough to get to the tram station from the hotel. The hotel is a good option for someone traveling on a budget.

The room was always hotter than outside and incredibly humid since there was no ventilation. And the fridge didn't really keep things cold. This made it difficult to be comfortable during a hot summer season.

The accommodation was cheap for the period we were staying which was for the Olympics. The staff were friendly and accommodating including allowing us an early check-in.

We had multiple cockroaches in the bathroom. There is no air conditioning (but we knew this from the listing) but it was very very hot overnight in early August. The room was not the cleanest. The location is quite far away ~45 mins by public transport to the centre of town. We only stayed here because of the 2024 Olympics and needing cheap accommodation. Truthfully we wouldn't stay again if we had another choice.

Room was nice, it was quiet, it was big enough.

There was no air conditioning, only a fan. The neighbourhood was calm and quiet, and there were bus and tram stop nearby. But it looked more industrial, and so I was unsure if it was safe to walk there at midnight.The biggest issue was because I was arriving after hours at 10pm, and so there was a need for a 70€ deposit in advance, which my bank refused because weak/no authentication. I tried to solve the issue for 4 days, and got confirmation and entry code only the evening of my arrival. The host was kind and apologetic when we met on site.

The staff was kind and warm. The residence is a bit far from the centre, but there is a tram stop nearby. The area is quite calm (it's near a cemetery). There is enough parking outside, and an underground parking.

The underground parking was the worst we have ever seen. It was very difficult to park the car in it because of how it is designed. Some of other guests were not clean, and often drunk. We were four guys, so we didn't mind, but a woman/group of women or a couple might not feel very safe.

I'm giving a 9 (despite being generally very picky) because the accomodation got a lot of hate and has a low grade. They have free parking, public transportation is not too far, and prices are okay for Marseille. The room was big and clean, repcetion girl nice. I'd recommend it.

The check-in hours are too short. I had to hurry my visit to arrive on time.

The facilities were clean and there was equipment for cooking (there was an electric stove and a microwave and dishes with washing liquid etc..) Free wifi and calm location which is good for sleeping and resting. The staff were really helpful and gave me instructions on how to come to the residence from the airport.

The location is a bit far from the city center but you can easily reach the city center by metro/tram.

Friendly, clean and quiet

The sink was blocked, so a lot of waste kept coming back up which was not nice to see. The heater was also not working, this would be good if it was summer but it was very cold so did not help much.

I had some stresses prior to checkin but was accommodated for really well. The receptionist helped me with final directions and handing over the keys. Great experience after a bad day. Solid room and close to transport links into the city.

A bit more signage for the final directions. Ended up trying to get into the carehome infront of it before being directed by security!
