Pros +
- Incredible view of the Golfe de Marseille and the Anse de la Fausse Monaie (a quaint cove with swimming off the rocks. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Easily accessible to the Metro and Vieux-Port via the bus which comes every 10 minutes.
- The view
- My experience with this hotel was one of the most disappointing I have had in a long time.
Cons -
- Shower ¿¿ head should be mounted higher, level with head. Shower/bath fixtures are confusing.
- Location was nice across from water but too far from downtown . The many steps to check in were very steep and hard for older travelers
- I booked a superior room expecting a higher level of comfort, but instead encountered a series of completely unacceptable issues.First, upon arrival, I faced an extremely unprofessional situation: I had requested a bottle of wine to be placed in the room, but instead of offering options or informing me of the price, the staff simply delivered an already opened bottle costing €54 — without any prior consent or warning. I could not even verify whether the wine matched the value charged. This felt misleading and completely inappropriate for a hotel of this category.Secondly, I found multiple centipedes in the room — one in the bathroom and two near the bed — within the first hour of my stay, before the balcony door was even opened. This raises serious concerns about the hygiene and overall maintenance of the property.Thirdly, the payment process was completely mismanaged. Initially, my card was charged via Booking.com before my arrival. Upon check-in I was informed that this charge was only a "standard pre-authorization" and that no actual funds had been withdrawn. The hotel staff required me to pay again in person, insisting that the pre-authorization would be released in a few days. Later, it became clear that the first transaction was NOT a pre-authorization — the hotel had actually charged the amount from my card. As a result, I ended up paying twice for the same stay. To get a refund, I was asked to send my private banking details via email. Despite all assurances, more than 10 days after my stay, I am still waiting for the refund to be processed. This level of disorganization, lack of financial transparency, and disregard for guest security is simply unacceptable. The overall experience was marked by complete disorganization, poor hygiene, unprofessional behavior, and a blatant disregard for guest rights and comfort.

Fantastic View
The hotel was very tired. The room was old and worn. The bathroom was a disgrace. The ceiling was hanging down at the hatch into the Air Con unit. There was no ventilation in the bathroom so there was mould on the ceiling and on bath/shower joints. Sika joints in places completly missing. Towels & bath matt were cheap and threadbare. There was a fridge but there was no coffe/Tea facilities.
The view was beautiful and the room itself was amazing and clean.
The staff were extremely rude and untrustworthy. They attempted to charge me multiple times for the same room and even had to go as far as showing my credit card statement and the receipt THEY gave me to show I was charged. I believe they were attempting to do something fraudulent. The staff ask you questions every time we left our room either about that, which room we were and where we were going. It felt invasive and rude and inappropriate. We had arrived early for check in and for our luggage, they told us to randomly throw it in the middle of a dining room in a restaurant, not in a closet or even anywhere safe. Also be warned, Ubers will not drive you to the top of the hotel and there were a lot of stairs to get up and down, oh and staff will not help or accommodate.
Location was great the view stunning Balcony was small but had 2 chairs and a table Staff were super friendly and helpful
Very convenient and central with parking at a reasonable cost of. 10 euros a day
Our room was lovely but overlooked a wall at the rear of the property so was quite dark and I do like a view
This hotel is a little run down in the general facilities. The rooms are small, but they are updated nicely and clean. Staff was very helpful and nice even though we did not speak French. The most desirable part is the view from the room. It cannot be beat!. We had a small terrace we could sit at and watch the ocean and sunset.
It would have been nice to have a coffee maker in the room for AM coffee. No elevator, lots of steps.
Perfect location, nice staff and clean room.
The location can't be beat! Right on the corniche Kennedy, a short walk from swimming spots and cool restaurants. We've been back 3 times!
This was a quirky style hotel with modern amenities, fantastic staff, and the room service breakfast served on the private terrace each morning was a joy! We absolutely loved the location just off the beaten path nestled in a neighborhood.
Great service allowed early check in. Friendly and helpful staff. Very accommodating. Mini fridge stocked with cold drinks. Super location away from main hustle and bustle of town. Conveniently located for local bus, bars, shops and ⛱️
No air con but we prefer fresh sea breeze. No tea and coffee in room but usual in France
Amazing views with a great restaurant. Staff at reception were friendly and professional!
I loved this hotel very much and wish I could have stayed longer! I stayed one night and everything was peaceful and I had a wonderful little breakfast in the morning on the patio! The views were superb and the friendly staff made me feel so welcome. The taxi driver the hotel called for me was extremely kind and offered to drive me all around to see the city before I left. I will definitely return! Thank you!
Room was amazing, lovely terrace and sea view. The location was great. Rooms were super clean. Everything was great apart from the owners. The main staff were lovely and accomodating, but the 2 sister owners were awful and really ruined our experience. They wouldnt allow us to sit on the terrace and order drinks, which is the main reason we booked the hotel. Without the terrace there was no outside space as most of the rooms don't have balconys / terraces. The sisters were unbelievably rude and unaccommodating. It's a little confusing, seems their priority is the restaurant rather than the hotel guests. I won't be going back
The sister owners were unbelievably rude. I've never had such a poor service staying with a hotel.
Nice staff and location.
I was charged the full rate by booking.com and the hotel. Waiting for my money back from booking but it is a bit annoying. Not sure the hotel is using Booking.com right
The view was fantastic and the bed very comfortable.
The breakfast was not worth the cost
Stunning view, familiar atmosphere, great service
The great views comes with a noisy street but that’s how it probably is for all the seafront hotels
Location
Poor breakfast Poor overall facilities, very old and outdated
The location is fabulous. The restaurant is still there, not as it was in the past.
Two rooms booked . Sea view with balcony booked. Got one room with partial sea view rubber necking, one with a balcony behind the house. Parking is a catastrophe at the place. It's overpriced. The famous bouillabaisse is way to expensive and not as good as it was. The fish, dried out not as tasty and fresh. Not a top restaurant any longer.
