The staff at Le Ryad were all wonderful, easy to communicate with, helpful, kind, patient and informative. The room had everything I needed, it was clean and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The location was just off the main road, near the university, just a short walk down to the port.

Really had an enjoyable stay the staff was great. It’s a great deal for marsielle where I found most of the places to be pretty expensive. Definitely no-frills. Great for low budget basically. I look forward to coming back. I really liked the staff. I thought they were what made this a cozy environment.

    Location

I’m English and a lot of us like tea. No kettle in the room, which meant no tea, instead there was a small coffee machine, €2 to use.You have to order breakfast the night before.

    Position excellent. Staff very helpful.

I think this would be a much better place in spring summer and autumn. The public areas of the hotel are a bit bleak and cold in January. The tiled floors would be cool and nice in summer and the lovely garden would come into it's own but in winter a few rugs in the room would be helpful. There is no lift so walking up beyond the first floor is quite an effort with cases etc.

The size of room was good . Windows great although light came in the curtains. The staff were friendly.

The bed needs replacing. Too soft and worn out. Even tho its supposed to be non smoking, the room and linens smelt of smoke. I think at this time of year the room rates should be much cheaper.

It was a great location, interesting design and feel and very personal welcome from the staff. Also a great breakfast.

Good location, right in the heart of the city hidden in a quiet alley.

Very expensive. The hotel has nothing special to offer. Rooms need some refurbishing.

Best possible location, great restaurants nearby, souk and tram right there. Hotel staff outstanding.

    No elevator

    Clean room, nice breakfast patio

Grim part of town, scary neighbors, couldn't get a taxi so we missed our dinner reservation

Traditional, charming hotel, says exactly what it is, amazing location, plenty of transport links,

    8CorinnePosted on: 10-27-2024

The hotel is a really nice place to stay for first timers like us ! The location is great, easy access to public transport, close to St Charles station and all attractions around the Old Port. The staff is very friendly and helpful and available for any questions we may have. We will definitely recommend this place.

The Internet connection is poor and the room was bit dated. Freshen up this place will make it even better. The single bed in the double bedroom is really small.

    8VickiPosted on: 10-26-2024

The location was excellent and very near a main tram line. Got a sense of authentic Marseille with a busy little route during the day but very quiet at nightThe staff were lovely and very friendly.

There was a bit of light bleed from the window nearest the bed which for me as a light sleeper was a bit annoying.

    8HildaPosted on: 10-21-2024

This was excellent value and perfect for the one night I needed a hotel in a central location close to station and Vieux Port. I also had a very large heavy suitcase so the ground floor room was perfect for this. Great value for money if you are on a budget and can't afford the expensive hotels on the Vieux Port. The little courtyard downstairs was also very nice and the breakfast very good value and quality. It was also great to get an authentic Marseille experience being close to the Noailles market. Also very nice kind staff.
