The People - Marseille

The people are very friendly and the location is great.

I didn't like that they charge for storing things if you arrive before check-in or if you leave later than check-out.

The customer service yelled and insulted and cursed. Talk about amazing customer service. It was the tall guy with long hair and a beard: name Alexandre. A disaster stay as the bathroom ceiling fan was making a big noise, he refused to change me room and then went to insult me. Bravo.

What a wonderful place to stay at! I was pleasantly surprised by this hostel, very comfortable and cozy, the rooms are spacios and clean, the bathroom is also fantastic. There is a chill out room in the basement and also a small kitchen area in the common room. Very helpful and kind staff. Wifi works well. Worth the price for one night!

Everything was great!

Location is really good, 13-15 minutes walk from main station, and 8 minutes to Vieux port. Beds are super nice, with curtains so privacy is wonderful. Everything is extremely clean. By far the cheapest option to stay in Marseille, and is generally well worth it.

Having such limited option for kitchen was a bit disappointing. And the breakfast was mediocre at best. Very few options, no deli meat, no omelettes or anything with eggs. Basicly you have to eat a knob of butter for breakfast. 9e for the breakfast if you pay at the spot is definitely not worth it. Common room was also not well eqwuiped, had very few outlets.

They charged me for the locker without me knowing that fees are applicable, I realized that on checkout time and I had no other option then paying. the lady who was available at the time of my check out informed me that they will contact me back and no one did

Great clean hostel, not for from Le Vieux Port. Not far from the Train Station. The rooms are cleans with private bathroom. The staff is nice and helpful.

Biggest problem: there is no kitchen (only one fridge and a microwave for pasta boxes). This is a big issue for an hostel where people expect to cook a minimum. 2nd issue: the locker in the room is not big enough to contain a backpack. Only for few personal belongings. Not the best.

The comfort, the privacy and the chance to meet other people. The People's location is also great, accessible to public transportation.

Its just minimal things and its fine with me. So we got broken shower head but still workin and broken storage box but still safe to keep my things.

A wonderful hotel near the Old Port and all the lively areas. I book this hotel every time I visit Marseille because of its comfort and proximity to the main attractions.

Pretty clean, comfortable and nice hostel. The works were super nice, comfortable bed with privacy, as all beds in the room had individual beds with curtains and lights, a power outlet, and an individual safe for storing belongings. The other parts of the hostel are also good - there's a nice restaurant and bar.

Bed lights did not work on my bed 104B.

Great, affordable capsule hostel on the edge of Panier. A short walk to St. Charles train station, Vieux-Port and Canèbiere.The super friendly staff obviously enjoy working here. The common areas, kitchen and bar, are nice to hang out at. Stayed three years ago and the place is well maintained, looks as new as back then.

Missed a hot shower one night due to a technical problem. I survived

Everywhere is very clean, and staffs are very nice. The location is also perfect.

I heard lots of noise all the night through the walls and I could not sleep and because of that i changed my hotel.As well as this, it was supposed to be in a mixed room,but we only saw men there for 2 days.

It was not allowed to leave the luggage in hostel after checkout , only for a feethe district is not the most nice one but that is only if you return late at night

Waste of money.

Staff is super rude. The dude with the tattoos doesn’t know how to talk to people. The hostel is not clean especially the restrooms. Please do yourself a favor and avoid this property.

Overall a really nice spot, it felt roomy and made for an easy launching point to explore the old port area of Marceille. The rooms and bathrooms were large, and it was relatively easy to find privacy. The breakfast deal (4 euro for coffee and two pastries) was also the perfect portion to start my day.

Only real issue was that someone stole my bag (outside my locker) to steal two pairs of pants and a few sealed snacks. However, after I alerted the staff about this issue, they quickly found it, and ensured I had access to a larger locker for the rest of the trip. So, unfortunate experience, but outside the staffs control and they were able to remedy the situation once alerted quickly. Additionally, they had a group book their quieter workspace the entire time I was there, which made it difficult for me to find a quiet space to work remotely.

The staff and the layout

It was all great. Small improvements required - the shower in the bathroom on the 1st floor needs work and the set air con temperature in the bedroom was much too hot.

The hostel is in a good location near the Vieux Port. The staff are nice and smiling and the beds have a nice privacy curtain.

The bathroom facilities are adequate even a bit lacking. Please add somewhere to put our dry clothes inside the bathroom.

Location was excellent, beds were very comfortable, room was spacious, toilet was clean.

No cooking facility.
