- I liked that it had a early check in, after driving for over 14 hours with no sleep, was just a place to get our heads down for 8 hours before setting off again at 2am to go to spain
- Clear and simple instructions for all possible check in scenarios. Friendly and helpful staff.
- The apartment was even better than the pictures. Cleanliness was okay—not perfect, but fine by French standards. The location was excellent; right after stepping out, you’re in Place des Jacobins or Place du Théâtre. Overall, a good stay.
Cons -
- Pillows were poor, everything else was ok
- Bed and pillows; need to be replaced.
- No elevator, no air conditioner, very small rooms. Breakfast was poor.

Just the location.
No elevator, no air conditioner, very small rooms. Breakfast was poor.
The location is superb. Lots to see and great things to walk or bike to. The night was fun and everything was well lit. Ill stay again!
The stairs. But the views and the magnificent windows from the room.. Great place!
Friendly staff, good location, clean.
A lot of stairs, extremely hot room, no A/C, lots of noise.
All good except Jo one to help with the bags up the several flights of stairs.
Stairs and no elevator.
Excellent location. Centrally located near restaurants and activities. The hotel staff is super nice and helpful. Marcia was especially great and the young woman (sorry, can’t recall her name) that helped us arrange for a taxi to the airport was super!
The cleaning service was hit-and-miss. One day we did not receive new towels and another day our toilet paper was not replaced even though we had an empty roll.
We had an unscheduled stop in Lyon due to a missed flight. We booked this hotel by chance. The team at reception were absolutly fantastic and went above and beyond in helping us book train tickets to Nice the next day. We were also given a restaurant recommendation and we had an exceptional meal. A small hotel, but with a customer service ethic that would exceed most 5 star locations !!
The location was perfect. The room was very clean.
The toilette was in a small room and you couldn’t close the door while sitting. The whole building can hear when you flush it was very very noisy. The sink and shower area was really packed and small. The bed was a bit stiff. Keep in mind there is no elevator and you have to climb 4 floors.
DO NOT STAY HERE. Internet not working, no water pressure - can’t shower, breakfast is a scam
Liked the staff and locationDidn’t like the fact that nowhere did they tell you the reception was 4 flights of stairs up and no lift
Great locationNice staff
No temperature control
The cleaning room and the staff
The stairs
Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable,, excellent location
The shower temperature wasn't consistent and had to be adjusted whilst using
Position, clean, comfy bed, view of the theatre.
Double room was very small with sloping floor.
The location is amazing
We booked two roomsOne of them was at adjacent to reception and dining area which makes it really noisy, the insulation of the room is very poor
In October, I stayed at this hotel for one night with my best friend, and the hotel exceeded our expectations by far. Our room was very clean, and the location of the hotel is incredibly good; it's so close to the square that everything is at 5 minutes walk away. As two girls, we didn’t hesitate to return to the hotel late at night. We also had to leave very early in the morning to catch a train, but the location is so central that we didn’t have any issues with that either. Additionally, the hotel owner's daughter was at the reception, and she was incredibly sweet and very helpful, explaining the sights in the city to us:) If you're looking for a hotel in Lyon, this is definitely a place you should choose. If I come again, I will definitely stay here!
This stay was value for money and absolutely surprising. For a 2 star hotel the location was excellent, with a view of the theatre, and friendly staff who even offered laundry services when other higher rated hotels in France did not. The room is basic but it had everything we needed in the perfect location.
Well located with an underground car park right next to the hotel. Our room looked out onto the square – a bit of a squeeze but for one night was perfect. A short walk to the river and across into the old town. We didn't take breakfast there.
There was a fair amount of neighbourhood noise into the early hours – drunken revellers in the square
