Hotel Bayard Bellecour

Amazing space. We stayed in the suite and it felt like staying in the Gryffindor common room. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. They booked us a taxi for our very early flight and everything went well.

Not really a criticism but pay attention to the room description. Our room had a wonderful unique bathtub positioned next to the bed but there wasn't a separate shower. A bath is nice for a soak but I was worried getting ready in the morning would be pretty inefficient. It turns out that with the spray head you could get ready reasonably quickly and I didn't end up minding the setup, but if a shower is an absolute must, make sure the room has one.

The hotel's location was excellent. A clean and tidy room and friendly staff enhanced the satisfaction.

The hotel elevator starting on the first floor is inconvenient for foreign tourists with luggage.

Everything was amazing. The decor, the style, everything is unique! The breakfast also great!

The steps are very easy to climb. But you should be aware that there are stairs to arrive to the hotel.

We liked everything about this little gem of a hotel. The staff is/was friendly and welcoming and helpful. The room was lovely - comfortable bed and nice linens, big bathroom, sitting area — I felt like we had a little apartment in Lyon for the weekend. Theowners have done a great job curating pieces of furniture and the decor, overall, very well done.

It was not a problem for us - but there is a staircase to reception with no elevator option - just pointing it out if one cannot do stairs - but there is a bannister and not too many stairs.

Location , breakfast , the staff and rooms were fair. The toilete and bathroom were excellent.

We had a couple of mosquitoes in our room in December!!! My son was bit multiple times, including the eyelid and we had to get the medication to stop the itching and to reduce the swelling.

One o the party is Coeliac and got severe tummy upset after eating some food marked as gluten free.

Amazing decor in the room and the hotel generally, a lot of attention to detail in maintaining a an old-world charm using new fixtures and fittings. The bed was soft and comfortable, the shower was brilliant as was the bath! We had an excellent breakfast - they will prepare eggs and coffee on demand and the rest is buffet-style, but very well presented in an appealing environment. Location made it very easy to reach restaurants and bars nearby and a fairly short walk to the nearest tramstop to get us to and from the train station

Nothing bad at all!

The property was incredible, the room was gorgeous, it had so much character to it, it was very clean, spacious, and had everything you could need - we didn’t want to leave it. The staff were beyond lovely, very welcoming and accommodating, a real testament to the hotel! It was very well located right next to shops, restaurants, and metro stops. Truly excellent!!

Friendly helpful staff. Excellent breakfasts. Although room was small it provided everything needed. The sumptuous decor, although recently installed, transports you back to another era! Consistent attention to decor throughout the hotel, plus good heating, made this the perfect cosy winter city break hotel.

The best staff I have ever met! We had some problems with uncleanliness, but they sorted it all out instantly and asked if everything was okay every time. They kindly offered me their fridge to keep my 3 kilos of cheeses and gave me the scales to weigh my luggage for as long as I needed. The room was beautiful, luxurious like the city itself, I felt so relaxed and comfortable in there, enjoying every detail.
