Good location and nice rooms. Definitely non typical hotel/room that one can remember

Friendly helpful staff, great location, nice and quiet, comfortable beds

Very good location to the old town and in between both rivers. Short walk to lots of bars and restaurants as well as the main shopping street. Breakfast was plentiful and very adequate.

Would have liked a small fridge in the room to store some milk for tea and coffee. Although tea and coffee is provided, no milk or creamer. However we asked at reception and they were more than happy to give us some in a jug.

Antiques in the rooms make it cozy and unique. Staff was extremely kind and helpful. We would stay here again just for them :)

Polite, smiling people, perfect neighbourhood, excellent view! We enjoyed our breakfast in the sweet dining room.

The cleaning during the last day, didn't work because we were back in the room so the last picture was full of our carbages...

Great little hotel, great staff, sweet traditional European hotel breakfast set-up l, very convenient location - all was really great. The rooms were very clean and nicely appointed. We will certainly stay here again if/when we travel to Lyon again.

Again, the rooms were clean and well appointed, however, ours were a bit small. They were still comfortable and we saw that the adjacent rooms were larger so next time we would probably book those. We will certainly stay here again if/when we travel to Lyon again.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location was perfect, easily walkable to many restaurants, shops, and attractions. Downtown parking close by was very convenient.

The hotel is in a good location near a pleasant square, a short walk from the old town but with easy access by bus to Part Dieu station. We were upgraded to a suite on the top floor (lift access) which was very spacious. Breakfast was good, especially the fresh croissants.

We loved the Celestins! Very comfortable rooms, great bathroom. Lovely slightly quirky decor with art on the walls. Breakfast was very good, mostly cold buffet but lots of choice and well worth it. Location was perfect, just a short walk from the metro and from the old town. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Nothing. The lift was tiny, max two people plus bags, but that was part of the charm of the place.

Everything was comfortable. The bed was comfortable, great shower, a good breakfast and the staff are great. They were very helpful when our train was late arriving - and very helpful and nice in general.

It was okay - other better options in the area

This hotel reminded me more of my first trip to France in the late 1960’s. The elevator looked like it was an add-in and was extremely small. You could tell that the bathroom was added in as well, based on how the room was configured. We literally had to send one person to the floor on which we were staying to take the luggage of the elevator that the other person had to load on the ground floor. Also, we had an old fashioned key that we had to carry around vs. being able to have a couple of key cards. As a result, we could not separate while exploring the city in case one of us wanted to return at a different time.

Check in was confusing and little help from staff was offered. Room was very very very tiny.

Room was tight for space

A small hotel located in the city center near Place des Célestines. The rooms have individual names instead of numbers. Our triple room was in the attic. The room was quite simple but had interesting interior details that gave it a cozy, homely feel. The bed was very large and comfortable.

During our stay in Lyon, the temperature reached +40°C, and the air conditioning struggled, blowing warm air. The room became very hot and stuffy during the day due to the roof. Opening the skylight window helped only a little.

Perfect location, very clean and well cared for. It is an apartment building they have modified into rooms with a cute little breakfast room. Very basic breakfast but perfectly lovely and all you need when the rest of the day is spend enjoying a food-haven. Rooms at the back of the building are quiet and calm, and typically fairly small. Modern bathroom and very comfortable bed and pillows.

Prime location in Lyon. Close to excellent restaurants and a weekend market. Breakfast was not included but an excellent option for an early start!
