Cons -
- It was closed after we pre-paid our reservation months earlier and it was unreachable once we arrived to begin our stay.
- The room was a joke, we checked out only to be told we were being charged and the hotel was reselling the roomWe waited 45 mins for our car to be returned
- I need to pump milk for my new baby while traveling. They were able to store in the freezer, but they had a very difficult time finding it and it came out stinking of fish. The Spa facilities were unimpressive. The shower leaked water all over the floor. I

For a boutique 5‑star hotel, the property felt noticeably under‑staffed. Beyond one person at reception and another at breakfast, the team seemed under‑trained, giving the experience more of a budget hotel feel than a luxury one.
Location was great.. We enjoyed the breakfast time a lot.. Building was renovated and the room was very fancy, interesting, I like it..
Because of it’s an old building, our room was a bit dark.. Windows are inside.. Since our room’s windows were looking inside, although the curtains were very fancy, they can’t be closed fully, lights were coming outside; which is very annoying when you have bath or change your clothes..
It’s ok
Small rooms not suitable for people that have long time travels, our bathroom didn’t have a door and the hot steam from shower, triggered the alarm.
16th century property, very well maintained and very clean.
Not easy to find as it’s in the old town in a pedestrianised zone.
Location, the building history and the restaurant.
The room was rather small if you have a lot of luggage.
Very beautiful Traboule with 60 rooms. The people are extremely nice and welcoming. Much better than most hotels in my experience. The history is fascinating.
I our room was a bit narrow but this is basic for a traboule.
Charming facility with updated touches. Excellent breakfast Great water pressure
beautiful historic hotel in the centre of Lyon's old district. moments from delightful lanes filled with great restraurabnt and shops.
The gourmet menu in the newly reopened restaurant wasnt to our taste. Once you've nibbled one pigeon you're unlikely to ask for more. We repinquished our reservation without any fuss. The bistro restaurant however is superb.
Beautiful historic hotel in the heart of our favourite French city Staff are extremely attentive and Remy did everything he could to help make this another special stay
Gum doesn’t have weights - website suggests otherwise. TV didn’t work but staff came to fix it immediately.
Super building very beautiful and an amazing refurb
Not the hotels fault as it is very old, but very difficult to navigate.
Location, lovely bar and staff were excellent especially the barman and Remi
Nothing. Everything was lovely.
The rooms are tiny and windows don’t open. It smelled humid and made us feel uncomfortable as it wasn’t possible to take fresh air inside the room. The hotel is nice but is inside a very narrow road so there wasn’t enough light and windows are facing walls.
Beautifully restored court in the very heart of Lyon. Just opened up after the renovations.
Not a huge detractor once you do it once but a bit complicated to reach by car. Maybe better directions would help.
Great location and good air conditioning! The staff was mostly outstanding, especially the lady in the breakfast room and the concierge.
The newly remodeled rooms were too modern and somewhat sterile. I was expecting old world charm and they made it look like any modern hotel. Also, the tv went out and the staff seemed unable to fix it and a bit dismissive. They did credit our breakfasts but not having the tv was disappointing.
charming historical building & good location in old lyon, cute Cat manger, friendly & nice staff!
lack of lights in bedroom;no bath”room”, only bathtub, inconvenient; maybe our room is 2F(no idea coz maybe the cheapest option ? urgent booking, didn’t check detail), only one window next the bathtub, no other window; taxi&Uber cannot drop off at front of hotel, taxi need permit or ask hotel to help to call taxi, a little bit inconvenient
Historical building on a great street in old Lyon.
The guest rooms were terribly run-down, dark, and awkward.
The antique palace feel of the room was good. The eventual room we stayed in was bright and quiet despite being in a prime tourist area.
The first room had a musty smell which they could not get rid of, it was loud and it had no outside window. They said the smell was a problem they had in some of their rooms and cleaning did not get rid of it. Be wary of the room you get, some of them are really not great. They moved us because the smell in the first room was over whelming. But they did this after we stayed in that room for a night - to be fair they would have moved us before but they were full and the only other room they had to offer us was smaller and had a bathtub right next to the bed. Neither the first room or the second room we stayed in had a proper shower. You have to choose between a room with a shower or a room with a bath unless you upgrade. All the fixtures are dated. And in both rooms there were steps into and out of the bathroom. The whole place needs refurbishment to get to more modern standards. The antique feel does not need to mean antique plumbing, heating and electricity.
