Pros +
- The room was spacious on two levels and we were able to sleep well
- This is a nice place, albeit a little quirky. It feels more like a dormitory, with isolated hallways and room entries but the rooms are nice and comfortable. But be aware. It sits well up from the river and on a hill, so getting to restaurants or the metro requires significant physical effort to and from. Taxis and Uber aren't super excited about dropping at the hotel given the one-way maze to and from it, so they dropped us at the bottom of the hill, which was fine for us, but might not be for others. BUT its location means a gorgeous view of Lyon. So, it you don't mind the hike, the location is great.
- The location is quite good because it's close to the restaurant we want to go to, and there are many attractions around here, since this area used to be a silk workers' district. The hotel is on the mountain, so it offers a great view, and parking is free, with a wonderful artistic roof and stone walls. There is a coffee machine in the lobby area, you can buy a coffee for a small amount of money.
Cons -
- The building Is like a labyrinth and they invite you to have breakfast without telling you it would be 10 euros per person and the food is like croissants and bad coffee
- More lighting in hallways at at the entrance to rooms. They aren't all motion controlled and it was a bit creepy.
- The whole building is a bit old, and at night it felt like a school dormitory. The entrance is halfway up the mountain, and it was not easy to find. Not many facilities you can use.

Quiet room, aimable staff.
The parking is not in the same location (and it can be ok) but you need to come and go to take and leave the key for it every time. Position is very uncomfortable. Cleanliness is not satisfactory (kitchen table with stains from glasses someone used before)
Nice view of Lyon from our room.Staff helpful & friendly. Easy walk 15 min into old Lyon.
Hard to locate from main street..taxi driver knew the hotel.
The hotel was very kind and let us store our baggage for a week before we actually stayed there
I made a mistake when reserving the room -- thought "single twin bed" meant one set of twin beds, not one single bed. This obviously was not big enough for myself and my wife. The hotel was full, so when I asked reception if they could just put another mattress on the floor of the room, the receptionist shook her shoulders and suggested I go to a supermarket and buy another mattress. I booked another hotel instead!
Large maze like property that gets the job done, just don’t expect all the bells and whistles as a good budget option
Rooms was a little rough (peeled and patched ceiling, some damage to floors) but nothing that bad
Staff politeness, cleanliness
No air condition, no silk to open the window without letting insects inside.
Comfortable room with great view!Breakfast available for a reasonable fee. Dinner Restaurant on hotel property was outstanding in terms of food and service!
Parking was very limited. Bedding was much too heavy for warm weather, but luckily we could open windows. Mosquitoes were bothersome, keeping us awake at night.
More like a backpackers, hopeless if you have a car
Poor signage. Hopeless car parking arrangements when that was the very reason we booked in the first place. Little ability to park out on very steep one way street out front if no onsite carpark availability. Very small rooms with steep stairs to mezzanine with very low ceiling bed. Low ceiling shower could barely stand up. Useless short shower screen meaning water all over the floor. Like a back packers with basic private rooms really. Wouldn't recommend or stay again
Room was well equipped with small kitchen. Clean and comfortable. Fantastic views from our window and very quiet at night time. Good location in walking distance of great bars/restaurants
Room is located halfway up a very steep hill so not suitable for the unfit. Rooms very hot at night.
very convenient and self-contained
atop a very steep hill (when arriving on foot from the station)
great location, very helpful staff, free parking
The ceilings were high, and the hotel is a 10-minute walk from the center. The most important reason we chose this hotel was that it had parking.
We stayed in the room with 3 people, so a mezzanine room was provided. The stairs were not convenient for accessing the bathroom and toilet.
Very good localization. Big room. Helpful personel. Good enough breakfest
Very well positionedClose to city center
I did not liked the staffWe made a reservation for 1 room with 2 single beds and 1 double bed and they gave us a room with 2 double bedsAfter we complain they proposed to give us the room that we paid for ( that was available) but asked for additional 120 euros
Very friendly and helpful staff, comfortable rooms in a fantastic location. Excellent value for the centre of the city.
Very well located and has free parking
Not really clean. Some dishes in the dishwasher. A bit cold on the room and no blankets (just one that was the size of half a regular one). The toilet seat had yellow stains all over it.
Wi fi didn't work in the room I had and it wasn't a new problem!! Great location and fantastic view of lyon. Room clean and everything else was good
No WiFi
The hotel was nicely situated in one of the old historic areas. Got to be good with hills though.
There could have been more instructions in the room on how to use the heating and what to do with rubbish. I also didn't like the fact the room didn't have proper curtains.
