Appart Hôtel Avy Baudelaire - Lyon Bellecour

The location is awesome, close to Place Bellecour and Place Carnot, and within a walking distance from the Old Lyon. My room was very clean, with a small fully equipped kitchen. Perfect for a little longer stay in Lyon.

The room is really big and comfy! The house - where actually Baudelaire has lived - is in the real centre, few step from the metro station Ampére, but very close to everything by walk! It's a nice place!

The room can be a bit noisy during weekdays, as the backyard belongs to a school. Maybe some shades would be useful as the students can look through the windows :D

Staff is super friendly and helpful. Location is also good. A very good wine bar is just across the road. Fresh pastry awaits you in 50 meters.

It seems that water supply system or boiler is bit noisy

Location and cleanliness were excellent. Our host met and explained everything we needed to know and gave us good tips on where to visit.

The shower was actually a hand piece only with no attachment on the shower wall. A couch or comfy seats would have been nice. wifi was available but not secure and no access to ie. Netflix only French tv. However we spent most of our time sightseeing and touring

Location was excellent. We could walk everywhere we wanted to but there were also Metro stops very near us.We were given a bigger room than we had booked which was nice. It had two long windows which opened onto the street. Fridge, kettle, stove top etc were great to have for making breakfast. There was no toaster which isn't a big deal. There is a a great bakery at the end of the street.

There was no hook on the wall to hold the shower head, you had to hold it all the time. Smell in the bathroom was not very nice.There was no headboard on the bed which made it rather uncomfortable sitting up to read.

Great location, 3 mins walk from metro station & less than ten to Bellecour sq. Stayed in the small double which was enough for us as out sightseeing all day. Clean, bright & plenty of storage space.

Street noise from about 7am but you are in a working city. Didn't bother us as wanted to be up and out early.

Excellent central location, easy walk to many key attractions.1st floor so easy to access, secure apartment.Enough space in single bed sit kitchen room, plus a bathroom.

The lack of WiFi was a negative. Apparently it has only just stopped working, but it restricted how much we could find for ourselves. Accept that our stay included a weekend, but 3 other days and nothing happened. The information states WiFi is included, but I have gone over my contract allowance using mobile data. (No streaming of music or video)

Great location in a very nice area. Easy to get to the main sights. Large airy room with comfortable bed. Adequate kitchen and bathroom. The hosts were fantastic. Very pleasant and helpful.

The bathroom is in need of a refresh especially the shower. Some have commented that it’s noisy near the school but that’s only for a short time each day and they are happy noises!

Great location, it was very close to the metro station. The apartment had everything we needed. The lady was very nice, she gave us lots of helpful advice.

Fantastic location, easy access to transportation, good shops/cafe's nearby and a short walk or quick train trip to Old Town. Host provided great advice for things to do and see on arrival. Cooking and kitchen facilities available, although I didn't need them with all of Lyon's restaurants! Check in and check out process was quick and simple.

Nearby some sort of school or daycare which was a bit noisy around 3-5pm. But it's just kids having fun so no big deal. Perfectly silent in the night hours when it mattered.

Convenient location, plenty of space in the room, quiet, table and kitchen facilities. Supermarkets close by for groceries.

Main issue was the wall heaters. When it got too warm during the night, we couldn't work out how to turn it down, despite going to the web and reading the manual there. The icon display on the heater LED display is so small we couldn't identify them. This isn't Avy's fault - it's the design of the heater. Avy had explained briefly how to operate the heating, but we realized we didn't understand when we tried it. We found how to shut off one heater, and left it at that. We didn't follow up with Avy as things were ok after that. Avy did respond when we had earlier questions.The shower could do with an extra panel to avoid wetting the floor, even when being careful. More international channels on the TV would be good.

The room is on the 2nd floor without elevator. Challenging if we bring big suitcase

It is very central place and it is easy to reach all main attractions in Lyon.

It is not a hotel. You can check in only during certain hours during the day. During the check-in you are asked to sign a contract in French and secure deposit is taken from the bank account.The room is very noisy and there is kinder garden below the window.
